My first time here, and definitely won't be my last. This location is in the heart of Yaletown, so when on the patio, expect it to be loud with many people walking by. The place offers a large menu, and also a large happy hour menu. Waitress was very pleasant and took the time to answer all our menu questions. The food is very good quality and cooked to perfection. Excellent!

Food is great!! Service is awesome!! We have a dog so we are seated at the patio, the weather is nice and everything is great. Will definitely come back again🥰

Our 19-people Sun-Run team brunch 2025 at This Flying Pig on 27 April was proven an awesome choice creating great collective memory for all of us together! David and Steven have been very dedicated and diligent keeping their sunshine smiles taking genuine care of all details making sure everyone was well served with our pre-orders by our names! Great group photo for us too from Steven! Everyone found satisfactions from their own dishes with the yummy taste and the vibes and the great services! That's why our boss couple kept their big smiles when checking the bill even though it was bit of the original budget🤣! Highly recommended for lunch or brunch here, individual table or group gathering too! Location is super convenient after Sun Run! Will seriously consider making reservations next year again! Million thanks for all great arrangements🌷🥰👍

The happy hour at the flying pig is worth the trip. We ordered a lot on the menu including the Mac & Cheese and Salmon Cakes, which highly recommend. Mussels and meatballs were okay but for the price it is still worth it. The service was good, happy hour is busy so please remember that. For three people we ate well and had two rounds of drinks for $120.

Google
Great happy hour in Yaletown. A variety of food and drink options for happy hour. The regular and feature menus have a lot of options also. The meatballs were delicious. Also the carpaccio is one of my fav items. The ambiance and cozy feel is really great especially when it’s pouring rain outside. The service is good. Would recommend.

Google
The food was top-notch — it’s no surprise, given that a place like this wouldn’t thrive in Yaletown without exceptional dishes. The wild mushroom pappardelle is rich in mushroom flavor, yet not overpowering, striking a perfect balance. The mussels and frites, from the happy hour menu, are served in generous portions similar to those on the regular menu. The sauce is delicious, though I do wish they offered bread to soak it up. The frites were wonderfully crispy. And at just $15, it's an unbeatable deal. Our waitress was fantastic — she offered beer recommendations and even let us sample two different options. As for dessert, it was just average — nothing really stood out. Overall, it was a very comfortable and fulfilling experience.

Got the dine out 2025 menu. The bison appetizer was pretty good. My first time trying a dish like this and it tasted better than expected. The bread was a really good pairing. If you get dine out I highly recommend getting the bison. If you get the oysters they only give you 2 so keep that in mind. Then I got the cod entree and I was a bit disappointed with this dish. The appetizer tasted better than the entree. My friend got the mushroom gnnochi and that tasted better than the fish. Lastly the butterscotch pudding was good, but a bit too sweet for me. The pecans added a great texture to the dessert. Overall I wouldn't recommend getting the dine out menu. I think the entree I got ruined the experience for me because I had higher expectations after that great appetizer. I enjoyed the steak on the regular menu better. I will say the service here was really good.

Google
My husband had one the best pork chops he has ever had - and he has had a lot! We sat outside it seemed dark and quite noisy inside so we were happy to sit out with the heaters it was fine and there were blankets if you get chilly. The food was delicious we ate from the Oh Canada menu and took the server’s recommendations. Double cut Pork Chop and Pei Beef cheek Ragu. Both were delicious

Yelp
Loved this place! I wanted something with seafood and of course I check on Yelp for different restaurants in Yaletown. I decided on this one because I liked the items in their menu and the positive reviews. The place wasn't really busy when we arrived, so we were seated quickly. First thing my son was so happy to see what that they offered salmon on the kids menu! He loves pizza, but he also enjoys other types of food and normally kids menus are very limited. My daughter ordered their kids Mac and cheese which is made with four different types of cheese. I was glad to see it wasn't a regular Mac and Cheese. My husband ordered their risotto and calamari. I ordered Blackened Steelhead Trout which was served on a bed of crisp greens, chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, feta, black olives, red onion, cous cous, avocado corn salsa and olive oil. Everything was delicious!! For dessert we ordered a maple pie and that was life changing! I wish I could have gone back for another one of those pies. I also got a complimentary crème brûlée dessert for my bday. Service was good and the restaurant was cozy and comfortable.

Yelp
Came here after pride for a quick bite! Food was decent and service was friendly. I like the patio on a nice summer day!

Yelp
Service was great - very friendly servers. Ordered braised short rib and my friend ordered happy hour mussels and frites. Bone marrow was spot on; beef was a little bit dry as other reviewers have said. It would help if it had a tad more gravy or was not cooked for so long. Mashed potatoes and carrots were fine. Nice atmosphere but little loud. Only two single room bathrooms for a large dining area so expect a wait time even when it's not full. Mussels seem to have good flavour for the one I tried.

Yelp
Visited during spring break and had such a fantastic dinner that we came back twice - had to have that roasted half chicken again! We loved all the food we tried - vibes were cozy and chic and prices were reasonable for the quality. Service was very nice but a little slow - but to be fair it was packed both nights. We tried the West Coast Seafood Paella, the Mount Lehman Roasted Half Chicken, Bone Marrow Cheesy Bread, and the happy hour Beet & Arugula salad. Our fave was the roasted chicken - it was supple and savory sitting on top of creamy mashed potatoes and veggies cooked perfectly. The paella was tasty - came with lots of mussels, chunks of fish, and creamy saffron risotto - but it only had 2 prawns and that was my fave of the dish lol. It had a nice flavor and if you love paella, you'll love it. The portion was large enough for me and my hubby to share. The bone marrow was tasty and fun - but the portion of marrow is so puny lol - it was hardly enough to put on one toast. So I wouldn't order this again - for the price, they need to add another bone on the plate. Their happy hour menu is excellent - lots of choices for food and drink at great prices and they offer it twice daily. The restaurant is roomy but cozy with warm, elegant ambiance even when it's busy and kinda loud. It's a locally owned, small chain with three locations in Vancouver. The Yaletown location was convenient for us - we walked from our hotel so I'm not sure about the parking. But the area we walked through was just a little sketchy so be vigilant. But once you're in the Yaletown area it's very nice. They have patio seating that was cozy as well.

Yelp
You should definitely try this restaurant before pigs fly... It is a great little spot in Yaletown. We went there for a late lunch and we loved it. I had the LOBSTER & PRAWN RISOTTO, the SALT + PEPPER "HUMBOLDT' SQUID, and the LEMON RAZ RADLER and I loved everything. Also our host/server Raj was outstanding, very fast and friendly, so he made our experience even better. My kids also enjoyed the kids menu options and they were happy with the quality of the food. Also we had one of the tastiest desserts ever, the Maple pie. It was heavenly, an outstanding treat. 100% recommended if you are in Vancouver. Have a slice of the Maple pie and see the pigs fly!!

Yelp
We found this restaurant near our Airbnb one afternoon with great reviews for poutines and decided to give it a try. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and loved the sauce and flavor. He ended up upgrading the side to a full portion of pulled pork poutines since it's his first time trying poutines. Overall, he enjoyed the food and the beer and found it to be a really enjoyable experience. The mushroom pappardelle on the other hand was quite a disappointment. The pasta was a bit dry (no sauce) and the walnut parm gremolada on top made it even worse (completely masked the flavor and made it taste like chewing on breadcrumbs). The mushroom was decent but not enough variety or quantity. Really wanted to like this dish but couldn't. Only ate half of it. Overall 3 stars because of the pasta dish that seems to be a disappointment for many Yelpers who came before us. Hoping they might do something to reinvent the dish in the future.

Yelp
The Flying Pig had an amazing happy hour that left me with a filling dinner and a memorable experience during my visit to Vancouver! The prices were amazing and the menu was quite expansive. Also, the service was top-notch: servers were very friendly, attentive and gave excellent recommendations. I tried the Starlino spritz (hotel starlino aperitivo, sweet vermouth, prosecco, melon bitters) which was strong while the Jungle boogie (flor de caña 12yr rum, bumbu rum, sons of Vancouver amaretto, bitter bianco, pineapple, guava soda) had the perfect amount of sweetness. For dinner, I had the smash burger which, as a burger lover, was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The beef was extremely tender and was not greasy at all. I also tried the macaroni and cheese which had a four cheese sauce. It was delicious as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver and looking for a casual-upscale restaurant with excellent food and drinks!

Yelp
Yeah. No. Don't. I'll tell you why.... This place reminded me of the TITANIC. The aftermath. You know...12,000 feet of wreckage under water of what used to be utter splendour. Lively expert staff, warm cozy elegant vibe with candle lit tables setting the stage for an experience you didn't want to leave, and of course accompanied by an uncompromising Bar doing magic with cocktails they were so well known for. The Flying Pig Yaletown was the place to be for dinner, and on the weekends...well good luck getting in. Either you were in a lineup or had reservations weeks ahead. Wellll.....we walked in and the place was eerily empty with a hostess, who I think just turned 18 and wanted to be anywhere but there. With all the empty seats, we were sat between the kitchen and the bathroom area. Not smart. I ordered a specialty cocktail which they got wrong. I sent it back and they had to google how to make it. Yeah....really. Even the second attempt they got wrong. So, I just went with a good old margarita which was mostly ice. Not sure though if the salt on the rim and the pretty little orange was worth 15 bucks. Moving on..... The short rib was ok, but stingy portions. If the bone marrow has no marrow. Maybe not serve it? Or else it'll just come across as a large bone being served....kinda like the one my dog chews on after his walk. Stunning. Exciting. Alluring The Flying Pig was years ago. Now, we must simply walk by the desperate remnants of what used to be on Hamilton Street.

Yelp
We ordered: Mac and Cheese (Happy Hour) $10.50 PEI Mussels (Happy Hour) $14 Mushroom Pappardelle $25 Pork Chop $36 Crispy Brussels Sprouts $12 Food was average and the mains were especially disappointing. The mushroom pappardelle which boasts of wild mushrooms was filled with what felt like button mushrooms, which might have been wild but definitely not what the phrase "wild mushrooms" calls to mind. The pork chop was dry. Only the side of crispy brussels sprouts were good enough to reorder.

Yelp
10/10! This meal made we want to cry. Literally, cry. Yes, cry! It was absolutely heavenly. If you are looking for a delicous Canadian food experience, this restaurant is it. I don't think it gets better than this. And if it does, please let me know where. Not only am I passionate at eating out, but I'm also passionate about the food I cook. Therefore, when I taste love on a plate, it must be shared. This meal was truly for the books. Like if I were to die tomorrow, I'd want this to be one of my last meals. My husband and I ordered the 14oz pork chop with a side of pork belly poutine. They will charge you an additional cost, but trust me, do it! The poutine gravy is divine. It reminds me of a gravy my mom makes at thanksgiving. She makes bone broth and then makes the most amazing gravy that is just so rich, you can taste the love. This was dare I say...identical! It was my first time trying poutine and I was swept away with these gravy smothered fries, with the cheese, and melt in your mouth pork. The hefty size pork chop was the BEST I have EVER had. Perfectly moist, seasoned, and tender! We also ordered the stealhead trout. It was perhaps the most moist well seasoned piece of fish I've ever had. It was on top of a bed of risotto and broccolini and a side of brussel sprouts. There was seriously nothing wrong with any of the food. It was all PERFECTION. The prices are very reasonable for everything they give. I'm just blown away. Service was excellent. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. I have nothing negative to say except for, I wish I would have gotten another order of pork belly poutine to go. Maybe some dessert too. Lol No, but seriously go check them out. You can thank me laters!

Yelp
Yaletown is one of my favorite parts of Vancouver. Trendy and hip eateries line the streets. We came to The Flying Pig for happy hour and were able to grab a spot at the bar. They have an outstanding happy hour! We went with the salmon cakes and some fries. Everything was tasty! Especially paired with a very well priced drink. Great deals available for such a nice spot.

Yelp
The sides here are all incredible. I tried the truffle Mac and cheese, the caramelised onions and mushrooms and the steak and thought it was all really good. I also for the salmon over seasonal vegetables and risotto. I devoured it, it was so good and buttery. Staff and service was friendly, but the food did take a bit while to arrive. I enjoyed this place a lot but for the price point and portion size, I would say I was a tiny bit disappointed. I've heard the happy hour deals here are good so excited to come back for that!

Yelp
Of the moment Canadian Cuisine w/Spectacular hits (and tragic misses) The Flying Pig prides itself of showcasing the food of BC and for the most part it succeeds. Our Beet & Arugula salad, Bison Carpaccio, and Blackened Steelhead Trout were all delicious with just the right balance of salt and acid to brighten but not overwhelm the flavors of the produce and proteins. But the Mushroom Pappardelle was an abysmal failure...seemingly prepared by someone who had never eaten a mushroom dish before (or simply hates mushrooms). Instead of being sliced and sauteed to bring out the flavors and present them to the palate, they were served whole and almost raw. The drinks were a similar story. The Cold Toddy was quite simply one of the best and most surprising drinks we've had in years, bringing together seemingly disparate elements into a balanced, delicious, and coherent whole - truly a master mixologist at work. The Fig And The Bear was only slightly less good...perhaps because it was more straightforward. But the Harvest Sangria was (again?) made by someone who either had never tasted Sangria (or simply hates it). Ideally balanced between the sweetness and brightness of the fruit and rich complexity and power of the wine, in this version the flavors of the wine were AWOL and the fruit left to itself. A tasty fruit cocktail...but not a Sangria. The atmosphere was fun and funky and the service mixed. Our waiter and the other servers were exemplary until around 8PM when the entire world showed up for dinner and we were left alone waiting for our check for 20 minutes. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars...but the highs overwhelmed the lows.

Yelp
Came here for our wedding anniversary and I can say we were really taken care of. Nice things thrown in for free like some champagne and a huge piece of cake. The place is trendy without feeling alienating. It's dim, cozy, and all the pieces are in the right spots. The servers are friendly and well educated on the menu and the vibes are upbeat. I had the 10oz steak and it was cooked to perfection, delicious. Fries were nothing crazy but were a nice change of pace to the chunk o meet. This place was the full package when you want a more special night, good food, good service, and a feeling of ahhh that was nice when you leave full and happy. Not to mention, the prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality. Check it.

Yelp
Ate dinner outside on the patio with awning and heater and stayed dry and warm from the rain. Service here was fantastic and food was delicious. My two favorite items were the Brussels sprouts and the maple pie. Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and nice flavor. The maple pie was unlike anything I'd had before, and while I was hesitant, it was amazing. A buttery maple flavor in a creamy tart like slice of heaven. All of the items we ordered were enjoyed and tasty.

Yelp
The food was good, I enjoyed the meal very much what we had. Service was attentive and not overbearing, drink menu was nice. Both outdoor and indoor seating available. Inside is pretty cool and quiet despite a busy night

Brian L.

Yelp
came for a Saturday Dinner. server was frinedly and helpful. Service was good. food: meatballs - great. flavourful, nice spicy sauce, served with some bread. brussel sprout side - fine, a bit greasy and too salty mushroom tagliatelle - not bad. Could use a bit more sauce. Mussels and fries - sauce a bit too salty. Fries were super thin shoestring fries. Think "hickory sticks" chips. We did not like fries like that. The mussels themselves were fine. Pricing on the high side but typical for Yaletown. Ambiance is SUPER noisy. This is not a place to have a peaceful quiet meal. This is a place to have a few drinks in a rowdy environment and share some food. Overall just ok. Service was the best part.

Yelp
Has a really nice date night here. We were sat right quickly and a server came to the table right away. They had a great happy hour menu with lots of choices. Drinks were delicious too. Portions were good too for being a happy hour menu. Recommend stopping in !

Yelp
Lovely location in bustling Yaletown. The vibe was cozy and chic. The portion sizes were hard to judge and the food such as the bone marrow was inconsistent. On some dishes, the bone marrow was hearty but on another dish, there was hardly anything to scrape off. The mussels with frites was beautifully presented and was delicious. I felt that the red wine braised beef short rib was a smaller portion size, overdone, dry and tasteless. The menu items were easy to share family style as we saw so many tables do so. Jeremy, our server, was quick and offered great tips and suggestions. Clarify on portion sizes with your server; especially if you are looking for a little more .

Hungry Kitt Y.

Yelp
A nice casual place with a relaxed atmosphere. The menu has a decent variety of dishes to suit different tastes. And the server was knowledgeable about beverages. But a couple of strikes: While the restaurant was not busy at all, it took over 40 minutes for us to get our orders. In fact, later tables were getting their entrees before us. On a limited lunch break, we had to rush through our food to get back to work. I had the veal parmesan which was ok, but the side pasta was bland. They definitely didn't salt the water. It's rare that I would find the vegetables tastier than the pasta. Then to see an 18% gratuity as the minimum option on the card charger. More misses than hits.
google avatar

Brenda S.

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch, happy hour had just started. Cozy vibe. I haven't been to this location before but others, and the food and service didn't disappoint. Parking in this area can be a pain, but we were staying in the area which is very walkable (assuming it's not pouring rain) to explore.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service with great food. When you're in Vancouver, stop by here for a relaxed meal. The staff will take good care of you. We enjoyed the bone marrow the best. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Located in a pretty cool part of Vancouver called Yaletown. Lots of other restaurants in the area. The restaurant itself quite nice on the inside - very modern, crowded, and cool vibe. The menu has a lot of choices across of range of options. We opted for bone marrow, pulled pork poutine, and Pork Milanese. All were very good. The Pork Milanese was quite tasty! A thick breaded pork chop fried to a crispy golden exterior. Service was tip top - friendly and attentive. N*joy!

Yelp
We have been coming to the Flying Pig for almost a decade. The food is always delicious and we have never had an issue with the service. The happy hour is a fantastic value. Highly recommend the mussels and the steelhead trout!

Yelp
The ambiance was quaint and music was happening. The servers were nice but very busy and so less attentive. The food was just ok. In order of preference: 1. Brussels sprouts. Tied with the arugula salad 2. Lobster risotto 3. Pan seared halibut special 4. Mac and cheese What I won't order unless you really like these dishes. PEI mussels, matchstick fries. I recommend not order the salmon cake they were super dry. The drinks were solid

Yelp
This was way better than expected. The flying pig was top ranked when in Vancouver and using yelp. I didn't initially want to go here because I wanted seafood so I didn't bother but the restuarants around had 2 hour wait times and I was already hungry. Even on a rainy day, this place was jammed packed. Bf started with the fig and the bear and it was a bit weird. Switched it out for a whistling pig. Something for subtle and classic. I asked for a rec for wine and they poured me the cannon ball cab. Excellent choice I must admit. Down to the main reason we came. We got the following to share: 10oz NY steak to share - underwhelming to be quite honest. Drenched in sauce and not enough flavor on the steak itself. Fries were steak cut. Not bad but overall not worth it Lobster Risotto - Delicious. Warm on the rainy night. Not bad in price considering it was lobster Cesar salad - I am constantly craving salad so salad is what I went for. The big pork belly croutons were def different. I wish there were more. The salad was refreshing to start our meal. Crab and shrimp Croquettes - best thing we had this entire trip. Too bad these bad boys were almost $18! This meal was surprising for a last minute option. I was impressed.

Yelp
We came in relatively early on a Thursday night and were seated at the window in the bar area. Rory was our waiter and he did a great job serving us. We started with some cocktails, including a cherry blossom sour and the whistling pig. Both were amazing but the cherry blossom sour was amazing. We stuck with appetizers and sides and went with the braised meatballs. The mussels and fries, the beet and arugula salad, and the brussel sprouts. The food was phenomenal. The mussels had a great wine and butter sauce and the thin fries really worked with the flavors. The arugula salad was very fresh tasting. The meatballs had a tiny spicy bite, which made them interesting. The brussel sprouts were small and deeply flavored. I can see why people come here!

Yelp
Great little place in the middle of many Yaletown restaurants. We had trouble finding it because we were on the wrong street but luckily we saw a sign for where to go. Reservation recommended because they were packed. The place was hopping. Hosts and servers were very nice and welcoming despite being very busy. Drinks were great. Kids really loved the mocktails (pineapple guava waltz). Sangria was awesome. Brussel sprouts were tasty but too greasy and overwhelmed by dressing. But with that said, it paired well with bland steelhead trout that my husband ordered. The fish was very well cooked but had barely any seasoning for me. Although, he enjoyed it. Meatballs, served with some yummy toast were really good. I only got half of the portion per server's suggestion and it was definitely a good size for me. They were perfect! Kids Mac and cheese was a big portion, not very flavorful either. Chicken and fries were great, Matchstick fries were the thing to get. Loved the little bucket it came in. They have a little spice to them and just oh so good. Didn't love how loud it was inside but the vibe was on point.

Yelp
I have been coming to the Flying Pig for years, so I can't believe I haven't written a review for it yet! I love this location. Staff here are really friendly and service is excellent. They came to tell me that they're making me meal fresh in the oven so I have to wait 10 minutes longer than usual, which I appreciated. They have the best bone marrow in town! I also enjoyed the decorations and ambiance. This is a great place for a night out.

Yelp
YUMMY! Came in on a Friday night just in time for Happy Hour. We tried a bunch of stuff. Mac n Cheese, Beet Salad, Braised Meat balls. Then we had the pea soup and the brussels sprouts (a bit salty). We were lucky and there was metered parking right across the way. The mood inside and dark and cozy, the music was very eclectic. Fun place to try if you are in the area.

Yelp
This was on my list as for restaurants to come back to visit when in Vancouver. I last came here 7 years ago. *We had no reservations, we waited outside near the heating lamps. It only took almost 20-25 minutes to wait for our table. * Our host/waiter Sylvan (sp?) was the most patient and attentive to our group. He took our order. We explained that we wanted to eat family style and share all the food. * I highly recommend the paella and croquettes.

Yelp
Last dinner in Vancouver! Really enjoyed the late night vibes. Came in about 1.5hrs before closing and got a table quickly. The host was amazing and constantly checked in on us. Chose a bunch of things to share and try. Order: -Three pea soup: Smooth and light. Great way to balance out our heavy food crawl in Vancouver. -Crispy brussels sprouts: Fantastic. The brussels sprout were crispy and charred. The parm and the capers helped bring the saltiness to the dish. -Andrew's pulled pork poutine: Really enjoyed the quality of the poutine. The pulled pork was tender and proportions of pork, gravy, cheese, and fries were balanced. -Bone marrow cheezy bread: Winner winner! This was the favorite. The cheesy bread was light and fluffy. It reminded me of a pizza, but better. The bone marrow was gelatinous and paired well. I appreciate the bed of arugula to balance out the richness. -Truffle mac and cheese: Also really good! The truffle is hidden inside but provided a good depth of flavor. Overall a really good spot that accommodated late night munchies!

Yelp
Came in tonight for Dine Out Vancouver at $50/pp. Pretty average deal for Appetizer, Main and a Dessert. I had the Braised Lamb Meatballs and Crab and Shrimp Croquettes to start along with another Appetizer order of Bison Carpaccio. These were all delicious and highly recommended. Unfortunately, this created high expectations for the main which was a wild mushroom Gnocchi and Strip loin. The sauce, mushrooms and pasta for the Gnocchi was good but the rest of the ingredients didn't make sense. The mashed potatoes were bland and peppercorn sauce was lacking salt. Dessert was a maple pie with Vanilla Gelato and very sweet but good. A little bit big tbh. All in all it was a solid effort but I would rank this visit more of a 3.5 star. Service was spot on with timing and attentiveness. I didn't enjoy that it was so loud in there I'm yelling to just speak to someone across from me. Maybe the music doesn't need to be thumping so hard??

Yelp
BONE MARROW CHEESY BREAD! Are you hooked like I was after seeing that on the menu? Definitely went here during my trip and was surprised by a few other things on the menu as well. The BONE MARROW CHEESE BREAD was exceptional of course. Although I don't think you can really go wrong with bone marrow and cheese bread together. So decadent and delicious. The BISON CARPACCIO was another hit for my group. We liked it so much we got a second plate. Delish! Everything else was super yummy and on top of everything it was happy hour. You can't go wrong here!

Yelp
I came here for my birthday dinner, and the dim, cozy atmosphere was the perfect vibe (great for date nights too). We enjoyed sipping on our tequila-based cocktails called La Conquista and Eastern Whispers. For our appetizer, the pepper crusted bison carpaccio with dijon aioli was yummy. I personally couldn't tell the difference in the flavor of the bison compared to the standard beef carpaccio. Since we came on a Sunday, there was a steak special that came with two sides. My boyfriend and I wholeheartedly agreed that the bone-in veal chop was the BEST steak we've ever had! It was so tender and juicy and just melted in our mouths. The sides, risotto and broccolini, were done well. As for the PEI mussels and frites, the mussels didn't taste super fresh, but because everything else was so delicious, I'm willing to overlook it. Our waitress was friendly and sweet and brought out a complimentary slice of cake for me. I'd recommend this restaurant for a nicer dinner!

Yelp
Varied happy hour food menu and drink options too. Too bad their outdoor seating was all full so we sat at their bar instead. Overall, we very much enjoyed the mussels & match fries, meatballs, salmon cakes and pork sliders. The food was delicious the service was very strong and they accommodated us for the whole dining experience!

Yelp
The flying pig wasn't the best place I went to eat. There wasn't much for kids to eat and the wait was really long. I got the Build your Own burger. I got it medium rare with cheese pickles and ketchup, although the wait was very longer than expected the food was AMAZING it filled me up really good and was delicious. I really like how the place has hanging lights making the ambiance really cozy and warm. Overall it wasn't to bad

Yelp
We tried out the Olympic Village location and enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the 1/2 Roasted chicken, Paella & the Cream Corn. Everything was delish and could have been shared! The service was wonderful. Everyone was kind and friendly. It is quite loud, so keep that in mind.

Yelp
We visited the Flying Pig with a 7:15pm reservation on Sunday 06/25/2023, first visit and a party of two. We had an overall lovely time. We found the decor to be lovely, our service was great, and almost all of the food was excellent. The two of us shared the following items: Crab and Shrimp Croquettes - 10/10 Pulled Pork Poutine - 10/10 Pork Chop - 10/10 Truffle Mac N Cheese - 10/10 Mushroom Risotto - 1/10 On Sunday, they had a special with several cuts of meat and two sides, which my last three items are all part of one meal. Sadly, the mushroom risotto was ice cold, like it literally was made hours ago and they forgot to heat it up; however, the rest of the meal on the same plate was hot --- so I'm not sure how they forgot that. Overall, the meal was still excellent, and I would most definitely return again.

Yelp
This mid-range bar offers a middle-of-the-road experience that falls in line with its moderate prices. The atmosphere is neither too casual nor too upscale, providing a comfortable setting for patrons seeking a relaxed evening out. The drink menu is diverse enough to cater to various tastes, with prices that won't break the bank but won't leave you feeling like you've stumbled upon a steal either.

Yelp
This is a casual, local Yaletown restaurant I've been to several times. I've been there as a solo patron and I find the service just as attentive as when I've been there as a group. It has a lively ambiance, with music playing that doesn't drown out any possible conversation. The servers are affable and very personable providing service that trumps that of almost any restaurant I've ever patronized. The wine list is limited but reasonably priced. Happy hour alcohol prices are in line with other establishments in the area. There's quite a selection of not too expensive Happy Hour food to munch on as well. I haven't eaten there in prime hours to speak to it, but based on the quality of what I've had during happy hour visits I'm sure it is all fantastic.

Yelp
We were in Vancouver for a few days and remembered how we enjoyed a meal years ago at the Flying Pig. We returned without a reservation hoping we can get a table. We got a table shortly before 6 pm. We had terrific service and enjoyed some drinks before dinner. The food and atmosphere was as good as I remembered. We got the pan seared ling cod, salmon, sirloin, and ling cod special. Each dish was nicely plated and delicious. The wait staff was attentive and checked on our waters and drinks often. We just love the cozy ambience of the dining room. A big plus was that we were able to take public transportation to Yaletown. So no driving or parking. Yay!

Yelp
Best steak frites I've had in a long time, maybe ever! We came here on a recommendation from our hotel's bellhop for a family friendly place. The outdoor seating was nice though nothing particularly kid-friendly about the restaurant except the kids menu was more elevated than most and our server was gracious and patient with us dining with a toddler and a baby. We ordered two mock-tails which were both excellent. I always appreciate when a restaurant or bar puts effort into non-alcoholic drinks. We had the 7oz sirloin which came with matchstick fries and veggies, coho salmon and pilaf, and truffle mac and cheese. The steak was perfect. Never change. We also really enjoyed the Mac. The coho salmon dish was disappointing-under seasoned and lacking flavor. The pilaf was just plain white rice with peas and carrots. The dish desperately needed butter and seasoning. Outdoor seating was nice but be aware that it's right across from the trash bins-every now and then we got a whiff. Slightly unpleasant but still preferred sitting outside than inside with kids. Overall would recommend and with some slight changes, could be perfect.

Yelp
Happy hour daily 3-6pm! Get the bison carpaccio and the beet and arugula salad! The carpaccio was very tender and the beet salad was a great option to get some tasty veggies in the mix. I would pass on the mac and cheese. The starlino spritz looked so pretty in the colorful stemmed glass and was light and refreshing. We ended our visit with the TFP coffee. Dangerous! So good I could have downed it all in a quick minute. Had to regulate! Friendly service too. A great choice in Yaletown!

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here the other night. It is a very busy place. I had the pork chop and it was cooked very well. The server was right on top of everything. I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
The vibes were very relaxing and welcoming. Everyone we interacted with was awesome and had great suggestions. The food was okay, a bit pricy for what it was imo. Some of the food needed more flavor but the Cesar salad was pretty good!

Yelp
I visited recently for girls night and this was our starting location for happy hour. Happy hour runs daily from 3 -6pm and ALL day on Mondays! Wooooot!!!! I was welcomed warmly and seated promptly. Our server was personable and entertaining, we even did a round of shots on him. Thanks Mike! Happy hour menu has some wonderful selection with quite a few seafood options, tots my jam. We tried the Salmon Cakes, Mussels, Mac and Cheese, Beet Salad and Bison Carpaccio. Everything was delicious, but most of the portions were on the small side. My favorite was the Carpaccio except it really needs at least two more pieces bread wedges. My gf and eye were looking at eachother like, did u eat mine? Lol If you are going for something more filling the Salmon Cakes are a good size with 3 pieces. Quite tasty. The Beet salad was fantastic too, but like I don't wanna share that small size. It's fun to try and share things, but I'm a hungry lady. Also, the Mac and Cheese is pretty awesome. It's simple, but very cheesey and tasty. If you could add meat, like crab or chorizo, that would make it bomb! The mussels were good, but also quite small. For drinks, I tried there Aperol Wine Spritzer and it really wasn't my thing. It's good for a drink with more volume, but I didn't like the flavour. I mostly drank their happy hour Rose wine, which was enjoyable. Not too sweet, but fruit forward. I cannot remember the Vinyard. My favorite drink at The Flying Pig is their Margarita de Fuego. Wowzers man, that is a tasty bev. Its a bit more $$ tho at $15. If they had a Margarita Fuego night, JJ would move in! Highly recommend you try at least one. Great dinner spot, fantastic Happy Hour option, cute Patio, wonderful staff.

Yelp
Initially had reservations at another restaurant for dinner, however after wanting to try a place with more than 6 items on a menus I decided to look for another place to eat. Made last minute reservations for dinner last night . I called around 530 and was able to grab one of the last few openings for the evening. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and welcoming . We took the 8 min drive to Hamilton street, the area was full with people trying to park , walking around outside , limos etc. so we opted to park in the public parking (the streets were totally full)! . From the public parking was only a 3 minute walk to the restaurant. Once we entered in we were greeted immediately . Let me just say the gentleman that greeted us helped to seat us and he pulled out my freaking chair !! Talk about hospitality my heart was so warm never in a restaurant (that I can recall) has anyone other than my husband done that for me so I was immediately impressed !(thank you)! Our waitress greeted us within minutes. She was very polite and sweet. I don't recall her name she has beautiful bright blue glasses and red hair . She discussed the specials and gave us plenty of time to decide what we would like to consider for dinner. Started with the cheesy bread and bone broth . Omg amazing !! The arugula was crisp and was perfect with the light drizzle of oil on it. The cheezy bread was super crispy and flavorful , bone broth was warm and fatty . I opted for the seared cod . My GOD everything was amazing the cod was super moist and buttery with a hint of saltiness cooked perfectly , vegetables were crispy(I would have liked a bit more salt) and the gnocchi was wonderful. Husband had the short rib with veggies ,mashed potatoes and bone broth he said his meal was delicious The place was crowded, but was cozy, tables were dimly lit with candles to create an intimate experience . Although the place was busy the level of service exceeded my expectations . Our waitress had other tables but her ability to read the room and her patrons made us feel like we had her main attention. Great food, great ambiance even better customer service would totally recommend . I would return and try other items on the menu as well.
