I believe it’s a very old building worth the visit (Members only), for dinner, they have a wide choice of western, Chinese and Indian, I had the steak tartare, bone marrow and Wagyu beef and lobster 🦞 bisque, very yummy

Only members are allowed inside. You can really feel the history left in the building and interior. There was an expansive menu - while they usually bring out only the main menu, there is actually a secret Chinese dishes menu as well; you’ll have to ask for it to be brought over. When there’s something going on, esp. something related to the UK, there might be a separate seasonal menu on offer too. The (British) Indian food here is the most recommended and they certainly did not disappoint!

Was fortunate enough to enjoy dinner with a member. Always enjoy the old world charm of the building, especially the beautiful spiral staircase leading to the upper dining room. The food is good, is a fairly standard menu, but would prefer they had more exciting vegan options. They do not have much zero alcohol beers and the 0 wine we had was not very good. Pizza was okay, lamb was tasty, ribs were excellent.

The FCC is one of the few remaining colonial buildings in Hong Kong and it has lost none of its charm over the years. Inside, there is a selection of restaurants and bars all of which have wonderful service and great food. The downstairs restaurant had an extensive menu, and its cosy decor was also very welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed the ribs. Note that this is a members only establishment - and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy dinner with a member with the company of a live jazz band.

Yelp
The venue itself: 4 stars Food in the dining room: 3 stars I had the opportunity to be a guest at the FCC and it was a nice treat. The building itself is lovely, great Central location with an old school, established feel. I had dinner in the main dining room, which was well lit and cosy. I should've taken the member's advice and chosen from the Indian food menu, as the chefs are Indian. I ordered from the grill, giving the Australian petit mignon a try. The steak itself was cooked perfectly medium rare. The steamed veggies that came with it had no taste; it definitely needs seasoning. You have a choice for sauces and style of potatoes; I chose the fries and it was nothing to Yelp about. For dessert I had the American apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is an extra $20HK. It took 20 minutes to prepare and was a nice ending; however, nothing about it particularly stood out. Our table brought our own bottle of wine, but I'm unsure if there's a corkage fee. Service was friendly and professional, though it was very busy Friday night and occasionally things would be forgotten (we didn't get our bread basket until midway through our main course.) Overall, decent dining experience. If there's a next time, I'll go for the Indian food!

Yelp
I had breakfast at the Foreign Correspondent Club this morning and wasn't crazy impressed with their food. I had their English breakfast set (mid $50) which included juice, two overeasy eggs (you can get them any style), ham (you can choose between ham, sausage or bacon), roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, toast and coffee (you can choose between coffee or tea, both are bottomless). The eggs were a little bit undercooked, some of the egg white was still runny, the ham was a little bit dry, but the mushrooms and tomatoes were fine. They are very generous with the toast, giving you four pieces. The coffee was a solid cup of joe. The saving graces for the FCC are the atmosphere (relaxed and casual) and extensive menu. There are plenty of choices such as an American breakfast set, English breakfast set, Hong Kong breakfast set, pancakes, omletes, pancakes, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, congee, eggs benedict, corn beef hash, and much more. I thought it was all very reasonably priced too for a members only club.

Yelp
Attended a friends wedding reception here. Excellent venue. Had a great time. The ac capability in the tent area was amazing. We stayed very comfortable while it was over 90 degrees F. outside.

Yelp
Location & history 4.5. Food is 3. If you are visiting Hong Kong, I suggest stopping by here for drink and snacks. Indian curry was quite authentic and spicy, more than I had expected. The service is all right. The dining room upstairs is quiet, and people seem generally friendly.

Yelp
The FCC is good but the food served is very questionable some times. They now have an Asparagus promotion. We tried the White Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce. The Asparagus did not taste anything and the Sauce was even worse. We also had a Herb crusted Salmon dish and also this dish was totally tasteless and it is almost shameful how a chef can present food as this was done. The menu is impressive but if you can not make a dish take it away from the menu. The other day I did not eat a minced meat dish as the minced meat was of low quality and full of bones. No refund was given! We are very disappointed, indeed. Singapore Nodules and Calf Liver is though recommended

Yelp
Hosted a group from Africa here a couple of weeks ago. Great atmosphere and old school service. Main dining room is super. Need membership to enter, but can use partner clubs like the National Press Club memberships. But, be sure to go and arrange "temp membership" in advance. Well worth the visit.
