The Fort Resort, Nagarkot

We came for a birthday celebration. This is my first visit and found that this place had a very different vibe of deep nature and a lot of cultural heritage. The chef was more proficient than we expected. The garden is overwhelmingly pleasant, unlike other hotels that have artificially made. I liked the rooms and service. Overall a beautiful blend of heritage and harmony. The ambience is soothing, full of textures and warm colors. Staff were kind and respectful, enhancing the calm, reflective mood of the place.

The hotel is located away from the hustle & bustle of the streets surrounded by a lot of greenery. In the morning, a lot of birds are chirping. The building is a typical Nepali brick & wooden structure - stunning! You can take a room in the main building or a room in the cottages surrounding the main building. The main building has a terrace on the top floor, where, in good weather, you can admire the sunrise & sunset. The service is very nice & helpful. The food is tasty, although I missed some local specialities. Lassi from local yoghurt is the best I've eaten in Nepal!

Well, I have just stayed there and am writing now. This resort is spectacular if you enjoy scenery, silence and retreat. We loved the services of everyone there and enjoyed garden and books. Huge respect to Ganesh Ji and everyone around there for their humility and hospitality.

After a long windy bus ride up the mountain, we were so happy to arrive at this hotel. The staff were friendly. The architecture is nothing like the other resorts in Nagarkot, it’s cultural and classy. The garden is beautiful and is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the Himalayan range at sunrise, all day long to sunset. They have bee hives that produce the most delicious honey served at breakfast. One low point is the hotel restaurant for dinner - typical bland hotel food, not very exciting but is the only option because everything else is far. The cottage room has a cozy fire place and nice shower. But the views from the main hotel room look great too. Value for money is good - breakfast included, amazing view, friendly staff and very relaxing atmosphere.

Enjoyed overnight stay immensely! Beautiful architecture, big room, comfortable bed, very friendly staff, excellent food ( dinner and breakfast), lovely location. Very calming and aestheticically pleasing gardens!

The Fort Resort typically designed and built in with the concept of fort itself. If you are someone who loves laligurans blooming right in front of your balcony, then this is the must go place for you. Also the views of Himalayans are mind blowing. It covers the area of a small village. There is enough distance between and among the rooms. However must of the rooms are two storey. Foods mostly influenced by western course. Expensive but worth going.

Modest hotel rooms, in cottage, with lovely garden, nice view, friendly service, but... I got very sick after eating in the hotel, it was spaghetti with chicken that made me quite sick for many days Staff was apologetic, didn't charge for that meal, however I've suffered a lot and still am Our friends ordered sizzling chicken dish and it came lukewarm! NO sign of sizzling! The other friend had also chicken dish and suffered food poisoning! No good

The breathtaking Himalayan views, peaceful ambiance and cozy traditional architecture made it a dream retreat on our anniversary. The staffs warm hospitality and delicious food added to the charm. The blooming rhododendrons added even more beauty to the surroundings. I’d love to visit again 😊
