The Foundry at Summit Pond

Wife and I got carry out, as we just got into town. We had bacon wrapped dates, chicken marmalade, and porcini mushroom ravioli. The atmosphere was beautiful, grounds were picturesque, and staff was friendly. Food was very good and we enjoyed it. We would love to come back and dine in ! Edit - 10.23.25 Wife and I did come back for dinner ! We got bread with maple butter, pork chop, and a filet. All of it was excellent ! Defintely come in and eat !

This seems to be a very popular place at the Killington ski resort. Call me a spoiled Newyorker, but I wasn't really happy about our dining experience there. The place is nice , roomy and very well decorated to the Christmas theme. They had also a live music which was a nice. As for the food, the oysters were probably the smallest and tasteless that I have ever tried. Snow crab clusters were way to salty and cooked wrongly, it was nearly impossible to extract the meat, a total waist. Crispy pork belly, duck legs and lamb shank were okay. All in all, it was okay but don't have a high expectations from this place.

My wife and I had thouroughly enjoy our dinner she had the steak frites and I had the elk, it was two large ribs and it was delicious. I would definitely order it again. Danyelle was our friendly server and wonderful to talk to. I will definitely come here again.

I never signed up to get overcharged for a meal that didn’t deliver. The prices are high, but the experience is low. The atmosphere was basically a live podcast I didn’t consent to. Stuck next to loud mouths the whole time, so the vibe was cooked before the food even hit the table. This was supposed to be a feel good sendoff. I literally just closed and sold my condo and wanted one last solid meal in Killington. Instead, you turned my farewell dinner into a fare well, never again. If you’re going to charge like a premium spot, at least don’t serve a budget experience. This place didn’t leave me impressed, just pressed. Consider this review my final check out.

Everything was wonderful! Grabbed a drink at the bar to enjoy blues night with John Lackard (live music), and Danyelle was so sweet to serve me a wine tasting and delicious Manhattan cocktail. Appreciated the host, Zach, for his hospitality, friendliness, and willingness to sit us at a beautiful table by the fireplace for my birthday. Dawn provided good service, and we enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli and Smores cheesecake. Great wine menu, beverage options, and food selections. Favorite place so far!

Though I was slightly disappointed with the lack of flavor in my starter small plate, the elk main course made up for it handily. Cocktails were also excellent. The only downside to the meal was a mad woman blabbing at high volume at the bar about utter nonsense. (Sadly one can't disable one's ears.)

I ordered the ribeye steak. It was undercooked. I ordered medium-rare and it was served rare. But the quality of the meat was good so that wasn't a big deal. However the steak was not seasoned at all. I had to sprinkle table salt on the steak. And the mashed potato side was awful. Dry and flavourless. Considering the cost, I would not attend again.

Great atmosphere good food and good service. There's a place to sit outside, which we did not because it was the winter season, but will be back to sit outside and have our meal and drinks when it gets warmer. I'd recommend this place over the others that I've reviewed on the hill.

The Foundry at Summit Pond in Killington, VT is a venue for special occasions, offering a upscale atmosphere that's perfect for a memorable evening. Whether it's a romantic date night or a celebration with friends, the ambiance with the live music is great. On a busy Saturday night without a reservation, the wait was about 30 minutes for three. The menu was impressive, with a great selection of wines that paired well with the steak, to enhance the dining experience. The food was a hit-or-miss. The ribeye steak that I ordered was cooked medium-rare, came out a little more rare but still good as it paired well with creamy red-skin mashed potatoes that had just the right texture, soft with a few little lumps, and flavored butter for extra flavor. My friend got the fillet and asked for medium but it came out more well. The mussels were a good sharable option, although they could have used a bit more seasoning. The roasted maple and brussel sprouts were a unique side, with the maple flavor coming through strongly, giving them a sweet and savory twist. Though the portion was small, it was ideal for an individual serving. Overall, The Foundry offered a great dining experience but I think there are other steakhouses around the area I'd like to compare.

Killington is berift of good resturants. There are tons of burger joints, steakhouses, and pizza places, but very few (two I think) what I would consider white table cloth resturants with a chef in the kitchen. Not cooks; a real chef, I was hopeful that The Foundry would live up to my expetations but was also prepared to be disappointed. I met my low bar. I'm a single but my dinner came from the full menu served at the bar. Kudos for the extnesive wine list; really nice to see and much appreciated. Also kudos foir letting me order half a salad. I would also shout out to the service staff for friendlieness and attention to detail. Way to go. Keep it up and that's why you got a 30% tip. Now let's tear this dinnera appart. Thge Malbac (two glasses) was a very nice Argentinia wine. It was served well and at the right tempeature and had the head and legs it deserved. Not great, but very good. The price was right. Next was the 1/2 caesar salad (hold the egg please, but yes I would like anchovy). The result: no anchovy but also no egg, One point. The croutons might have been made last year and stored in the referigerator and forgotten until tonight. They were not mushy but were also not crispy. Come on! If you are going to have croutons, can you please make them yourself and if not at leat crisp them up in the oven. Awful Net score, zero. The main course was rack of elk with fingerlings. Overall good but it was requested as medium rare and served blue. Flipping them over revealed they had been pre-cooked blue and then put on the grill to warm them up. A quick way to try and meet the order but in this case it didn't work because the line cook didn't leave them in long enough and didn't turn them over. (Imagine, that this is the best I've found in Killington so far.) Desert was a forgettable too cold chocoate tarte defrosted this morning. But the Coutrea was served perfrectly by the bar staff and at the right temperature and in the right glass wear. Thank you. Total bill was $171.57 including a $30 tip. They get three starts. If your expectations are in agreement you won't be disappointed. But if you expect more be prepared to meet the low bar. Oh how I wish Killington had enoght of a critical mass in a "village" setting to attrack better resturants. Maybe some day.

Went to the foundry this weekend when we were in Vermont and it was awesome! The space is extremely cozy but boasts some really solid food. We went for dinner with some friends and had our toddler with us and they were super accommodating. They had a live guitarist which was a great vibe overall. The food was great, my favorite were the mussels!

Had a beautiful dinner outside on the deck while the sun went down this past weekend. Dinner prices here are a little higher because you're getting higher quality and perfectly prepared food. We had Maggie as our server and she was BEYOND accommodating. So patient and kind despite our table full of kids running around and being crazy ! We were happy to be the only two tables outside so as to not bother other customers or stress. The food was all amazing, some of the crustiest most flavorful bread I've ever had!! Mussels were insane, I got he chop salad with blackened salmon and it was to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant and next year when we are back we will return !

Don't waste your money or time here. This place used to be great and still has a nice atmosphere, but two years in a row I've had a terrible meal, so I'm done with them. The calamari was mostly banana peppers. The lamb chops were about the size of a quarter and cooked well done. And the wait was so bad for our meal that we were told our drinks would be comped, only to see 25% off. Just bad all around.

While this is a very lovely place to sit and enjoy the beautiful ambiance, my mother, sister, and I had to salt and pepper our meals. My mom and I got the same risotto dish that was very bland. My sister ordered a salmon burger which she rated a "3 out of 10." For the three of us and a six year old's order of chicken tenders, we spent over $200 for the most mediocre meal on our trip to Killington. Definitely a place to just sit and enjoy with a drink, not necessarily a full sized meal. Very nice people, good service, and beautiful view. Would come back again, but just to enjoy a drink.

We came in Friday night for my birthday as we were staying at the North Star next door. We were seated right away and our waitress came minutes later. They have a great selection of cocktails that were very strong. The dining room is beautiful and there was live music playing in the bar area. We ordered the scallops and salmon with sides of asparagus and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious and fresh. Since it was my birthday I ordered the creme brulee which was complimentary and my friend ordered the maple cheesecake which was to die for. Had a wonderful dinner and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We went to the deck after our meal and sat in the rocking chairs which was nice.

We sat outside on a summer evening and it was so beautiful! A small pond with geese swimming by. Just lovely and peaceful. And dinner was amazing! Th waitress and staff were very friendly. I would say it's a must visit if you're in the area.

This was the single worst dining experience of my life. I thought the worst part would be the 1.5-hour wait for a burnt steak and the lack of service that came with it, but later that night my partner became severely ill from food consumed at the Foundry. I hope the staff take note of this review and take the appropriate steps to address the food safety issues taking place at their restaurant. If they sort that out, they need to figure out how to run their kitchen and service efficiently. I will never return.

Mediocarcy all around. Seasoning is not a friend of the chef. Bartender does not know any drinks. Staff forgets orders. Bus boy takes away unfinished cheese platter. This is a weak spot, skip.

The lobster Mac and cheese was DELICIOUS! And really fairly priced! My husband's steak was ok. He got a ribeye and for what we paid ($51 ) it wasn't very well seasoned. The whipped potatoes were good. And the Maple crème brûlée and the chocolate layer cake were DELICIOUS! Service was fantastic!

Nice atmosphere and the busboy was the only professional there. After we received our steak that was ordered med/rare and arrived under cooked, (and also confirmed by the manger that it was very rare) they still had the audacity to bill us for it. Table behind us also had the same an issue with the order as well. I don't recommend this place for steaks. Very disappointin.

Love love this restaurant. Every one of the servers are excellent and the bartender Timmy is just the best. Of course, I do miss Chef Michael. Please bring back the Duck Rangoons and the Beef Sliders. Sometimes I go alone and both of those things fit the bill for me instead of having a full meal. Would give more stars but they only let u have 5. GO BEEF SLIDERS AND DUCK RANGOONS!!!!

I have a feeling they've enough business already, given how busy they are even in the sort-of off season (Women's World Cup weekend at Killington, weekend after Thanksgiving) -- so I'm going to review with a critical lens. Here's the good: Staff are just wonderful. They really are. They are hard working, kind, gracious, thoughtful, efficient wherever possible. A lot of the food was quite good. The atmosphere is lovely, with a woodfire warmed dining room and a separate bar room with a (good!) singer + acoustic guitar-playing musician who comes on at 6 p.m. on weekends. The wine program seems to be well curated and reasonably priced. Raw oysters were just $1.50 during happy hour (3 to 6 p.m. IIRC?). They were young, small, from the eastern coast of Canada IIRC, and fairly well shucked (no shell bits, but also little oyster liquor). They came with Tabasco, horseradish, mignonette, lemon, and tomato-based cocktail sauce -- all delicious. The mixed: The octopus duo Gallegas came with the loveliest, crispy croquette, and a nicely sized, nicely seared tentacle -- but the octopus wasn't well tenderized, tasted unpleasantly fishy, and came with a thick layer of "slippery" skin still on. It may boil down to a stylistic preference whether you enjoy this kind of preparation -- plenty of food cultures tolerate or even value the "slippery" skin -- but in all honesty, the fishiness and texture were not my favorite despite the otherwise skilled preparation. The "Chopped Salad" with the addition of chicken was enjoyable, not overdressed, but a bit skimpy on all toppings except onion. It seemed to be missing the crispy prosciutto included in the descriptor completely. If it was there, it was present in undetectable amounts. Hangar steak & frites came with the beef nicely cooked to medium as requested, served with a very nice demi glace sauce and enjoyable, but sort of soggy, oil-laden frites. It was early in the evening and maybe the fryer wasn't yet warmed up? Ribeye came pleasantly marbled with fat, and again came cooked accurately to medium rare as requested, with a side of mashed potatoes that the primary consumer devoured with enjoyment. We enjoyed the side of garlicky (I think sauteed?) asparagus, our bottle of fairly priced, well curated Malbec. It's a lovely, pleasant restaurant that I'm sure is PACKED during ski season. We haven't yet had the pleasure of trying many restaurants in the Killington area and readers should please understand that we're reviewing with a picky lens given the relatively spendy pricing. But know that the quality of food would not be out of place in NYC, the menu is commendably adventurous, and we certainly wouldn't mind a return visit -- especially for the music.

Make sure you consult google maps info on the restaurants in Killington because the hours posted in Yelp are sometimes incorrect. Maybe the hours change when this town is in peak tourist season, but anyway, we ended up here because all of the restaurants we tried to go to in town closed at 9. This place was a more expensive than we wanted to do, but YOLO, the kids gotta eat! It is an absolutely beautiful restaurant with that ski lodge feel. The kids meal portions were enormous. It could feed an adult. 3 big ass brontosaurus chicken fingers and big bowl of mac and cheese. I had the burger was a bit miffed that it did not already come with cheese and would have to pay an extra $2 for it. Now I carry around my own cheese every where I go. Just kidding. The burger bun was...very sturdy. You know how sometimes a the burger bun just gives up on life and falls apart near the end, this one cant stop wont stop. :P The mushroom appetizer needed seasoning, in my opinion. And there was no browning or caramelization on them. Made me weep because I love my shrooms. Everything else was pretty good: the kids mac and kids chicken fingers, chicken sandwich, shrimp and crab cakes, and cocktails. Our waitress was incredible and we had such a good time just chatting with her and dining here.

Average food with above average prices. Tried The Foundry for the first time on NYE and it was busy as to be expected. While the food was mediocre I wanted to say thank you to the staff. Y'all were great last night especially knowing how busy it was. We waited about an hour and a half to get seat which it about what I expected for trying to go out at 1830 on NYE. Found a spot at the bar, had some drinks all was well. Started with the Steak Tartar. Portion size was perfect for 2 people sadly they only gave us three pieces of crustini to eat it with. Flavor was ok nothing really to write home about. I ordered the NY Strip that comes mashed potatoes and added a side of Brussels. The steak was honestly just not good. Too much char on the outside, full if gristle and unrendered fat on the edges. Left me honestly questioning if it was actually a NY Strip. At least the cook temp was ok a little more that medium rare but close. Mashed potatoes were good and the Brussels a good addition just overly sweet as with everything with the "Vermont Maple" label. All in all a pretty underwhelming experience probably won't be back but glad we tried it. Maybe on a less busy night the experience wouldn't have been different.

Was visiting Vermont for fall foliage and stopped here for dinner. The vibe was awesome. There was a lit fireplace, high ceilings and live music. We walked outside by the lane while sipping on wine while we waited for our table Highly recommend the coconut curry mussels. Interesting and managed to not overpower with coconut milk. Good quantity too! They have a glass of sanjiovese for $10 so obviously took that. Their cider was also pretty great. See attached photo for brand Service was Good even though they were fully packed. The place is gorgeous. Okay back to food- the burger was only good not great. Mostly, I'm disappointed with the truffle fries. The potatoes were dry and over done The salmon was the STAR OF THE SHOW. It was perfectly cooked and the mushroom risotto it came with was pretty great. Complimenting flavors and beautifully done. Highly recommend.

I was disappointed in this restaurant after all of the amazing reviews I heard beforehand. The chef has been replaced and the menu was different so they were out of 7 dishes ranging from appetizers to big plates. The hanger steak was burnt and arrived cold. The Mac and cheese was dry and had barely any cheese on it, the chopped salad arrived with no dressing on it either. One of the waitresses asked for the plates back with food on it still when we were working on it.

I've been here a handful of times and it's always been a solid experience. Love the live music that often fills the room. Dinner is always delicious with some of the standout dishes being the salmon and then the seared duck breast. Seriously, the food is on point. It's especially cozy on nights post-ski where you can be by the fire place or just enjoying drinks round the bar. Definitely would recommend popping in here.

Excellent service and food. We had oysters that were great. Filet was cooked perfect and maple crème brûlée to finish meal.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The bartenders are rude and aggressive! Their attitude ruined our night.

6/18/2023, Father's Day dinner. We absolutely love this place. My brother and I treated the family to Father's Day dinner, they loved it, it's a treat something they wouldn't do for themselves. Our server was great, I apologize for not remembering his name. Everything was great, from arrival to our dessert. Looking forward to our next visit, wife and I need our oyster fix. Thank you for providing a wonderful dinner experience for my family.

Delectable foods that exceed expectations served by personable staff in a charming ambiance...with acoustic stylings that truly made our evening memorable. Ryan was amazingly friendly, funny, attentive, and responsive. You definitely need to check this place out, and we need to come back.

With love music and good food, this is a good place to go after all day skiing. The prices can be a little on the higher end but I think this is probably one of the restaurants I liked the best around the area. Food wise our apps and entrees we're really good. I highly recommend getting the pork belly appetizer. It was nicely seared and a light coating of maple. They also had live music starting around 6 I think which is nice to listen to while eating.

Bummed out about my latest trip to The Foundry. I've been coming here for a few years and I've never had an excellent experience but because I really like the ambiance and decor, I've always gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned when I'm back in killington. This visit was very clunky from before we even stepped in the door. I called a few weeks in advance and made a reservation for NYE, the guy I spoke to on the phone was nice and accommodating. A week before we came to killington a manager called to tell me that the guy I spoke to wasn't authorized to give me a reservation so if we wanted to come, they only had 4:30pm or 10pm. We did not want to eat that early or late so we changed our reservation to 12/30 instead, because "I really like this place." So Ashley is our server. Ashley is a textbook case of passive aggression. I couldn't figure out what her issue was all night but she definitely deflated our meal with the way she acted and for no good reason. Regardless of Ashley, we ordered a few apps that were good- dates, tuna & the peppers. The apps were probably the best part of the meal. I ordered the NY Strip and my table got pretty much every steak on the menu- fillet, porterhouse, etc. My steak came on the well done side (ordered medium, should have ordered medium rare). It was charred... I'm not overly upset about the steak- these things happen. The table all had a similar experience. Charred steak a little over cooked. The Brussels sprouts were obnoxiously undercooked, I was really looking forward to them but I didn't even eat any. Mac and cheese was dry and the asparagus tasted strong of natural gas, as if it they sat on a burner leaking gas before it was fired up. It was odd. Alright so we eat our meal and then Ashley comes over and tells us we need to rush to finish because there's another table that's been waiting. Just want to note this is an hour and 15 minutes after our tables has sat down. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, apps and everyone got steaks. We asked for another round of drinks (we were gonna walk over to the bar, I remembered slow bar service last year so I figured we should back ourselves up). Ashley said no, that we should order from the bar. And I didn't have the energy to go back and forth with her. I couldn't figure out why a server would decline another round (increasing check average and we told her we were walking over to the bar so we wouldn't hold up her table). When we got our bill, we saw there was a 20% gratuity already included. And then it all clicked for me- Ashley was a terrible server because she didn't need to work for her tip. I also want to note that even with her poor performance, I'd never tip under 20% anyway but it just became very transparent that she didn't feel inclined to make any effort to make our visit pleasant. So we went to the bar, waited 25 minutes to never get served and we left. On the way out, our table (which Ashley kicked us out because there was "a party waiting"), was completely empty. No table was coming after us. Thanks Ashley. I'm done with this place. The service is terrible. The food is sub par and although the ambiance feels nice, the whole experience will kill your mood. If an owner is reading this, I want you to know that I've come to your restaurant multiple times year after year, have not had a good experience but continue to come back hoping for a better outcome and I'm finally throwing in the towel and moving on.

No wait on a Saturday night. Very nice setting with a gas fireplace on one side of the large dining room. They were busy and there were some large groups but you could tell the servers were working hard and kept up. Our food was very good, service was prompt and food came out on time. Can't ask for more on a busy weekend night.

Ate dinner here late on a Friday night while staying in Killington. Warm and cozy dining room with plenty of seating as well as a spacious bar area. It was quite empty upon arriving, so we were seated immediately. Service was friendly and there was live music in the bar area during our visit. We had 3 entrees and shared the mac and cheese "shareable" dish. While it was a generous portion served in a skillet, it was a bit bland to me. It was super thick and loaded with cheese, but the flavor was still very plain, to my surprise. My sandwich (salmon banh mi) came with truffle fries and I got over salted bits and pieces of mostly burnt ends. Barely edible. The tuna was served raw but smelled very fishy. I was a little concerned but thankfully did not get sick after eating it. The "baguette" it was served on was dry and a little too chewy...it was not a traditional french baguette but more like a long portuguese style roll. Overall not terrible, but not very impressive either.

Overall - the Foundry has a great atmosphere hampered by poor service and execution. Firstly, this is a fantastic space, a rustic but refined feel and spacious environment.  We visited on day with live music which was also enjoyable.  The fare is mostly traditional steakhouse with some creative and modern elements.  The food is fairly good, albeit pricey.  That being said, service was severely lacking, especially for upscale dining; our server was cold and curt and messed up an order / changed entree choice without asking, which was subsequently served raw - not even an apology.  Staff was also seemingly trying to move service along on expedited basis by bussing table before people were done. In terms of specific menu choices: - Beet and Burrata was interesting but almost no beets - Bread was hearty and flavorful (no complimentary bread here) - Hanger steak was great, well seasoned and cooked well - NY Strip was decent but a bit bland - Salmon entree was raw and inedible  - Pork chop was dry and flavorless So, mixed feelings - nice place but many areas for improvement

if i could give negative stars i would... i came in after a number of times eating here before to order some oysters, we sat at the bar not expecting to order any drinks and were immediately asked for our id's. my partner and i are both over 21 years old and were told that our id's don't look like us... the bartender with curly long hair is a joke and doesn't deserve our service or good tipping!!!

Cool atmosphere , service subpar, ribeye came out room temp, mashed potatoes cold had to be replaced 3 times, charged 6.00 for 2 olives - manager was helpful but don't feel that we were properly compensated .

Misread the sliders appetizer. Turns out it's beef tenderloin which was chewy and had a bad smell. The music in the tavern was very good but somehow did not make up for the rank smell of the sliders.

This restaurant does NOT deserve only 3.5 stars. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE 1 star reviews. Out of all the restaurants that we've been to in Killington (4 already), this was the only place that would be worth going back to. Reasons: 1. Little bit cheaper than others (like Casey caboose) 2. Extremely good food 3. Awesome service 4. Accommodated us even though we didn't have reservations (reservations needed due to covid protocols. Clam chowder (4/5) the clam chowder was really good! It has a lot of bacon in there, they did not skimp out on it. It had good flavor and I like the potato squares in it. We asked for more crackers and they were happy to give it to us. Pork belly (5/5) I really enjoyed the pork belly! All the flavors went well with each other. I'm a sweet and savory type of person so I really like this dish. NY strip (5/5) omg this steak had soooo much flavor. It did not disappoint. A lot of places cook steak wrong and this place didn't! COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. You don't even need A1 steak sauce. That's how you know it's a good steak. My BF asked for it to be cooked medium and THEY DELIVERED. I am not a steak person. But I'll come back to eat their steak. Service (5/5) our waitress was awesome! Gave us everything we need and was attentive towards us.

On vacation in the area with my husband, kept hearing great things about The Foundry. Got there before the dinner rush. Seated at a nice spot outside, the ambiance sitting right by the pond was beautiful. That was where our good experience ended. A couple who was behind us at the hostess stand got seated next to us a few minutes after we sat down. They were greeted by the waitress right away, drinks orders were taken, and then brought, and all the while no one came over to us once. Multiple waitresses waited on tables surrounding ours and still nothing. After about 20 mins my husband and I walked to the hostess stand to let her know about our experience and that we were leaving. She did not seem to care in the least bit, no apology, no explanation, just, "ok. Bye" For a restaurant as seemingly high end as this, I was insulted. We thought about asking to speak to a manager but we decided not to waste anymore time than we already had on this disappointing place. My husband and I ended up at iPie Pizzeria, we had a great time, the food was delicious and The Foundry could take some lessons from them on how to have good customer service.

So happy to have found this place not too far from Rutland where you can actually have good food. The arugula salad , the beet and burrata and the burgers were delicious. Expensive though!!! The staff was nice, a tad overwhelmed with being so short staffed but patient and helpful. The place is located across the ski slopes. It's a tad too dark for my taste but as mentioned above the food is good and that's what matters.

Over price food sucks but all Chris Carrs restaurants suck he doesn't have any good chefs in any of them

We sat at the bar for 40 mins and the bar tender talked to us 1 time. Got a drink and an app and then got ignored. Had to make a scene to get our check.

We couldn't have picked a more perfect, romantic, beautiful spot for our wedding anniversary (17!) dinner! First, let me say, the cod dish (photo below) was the absolute MOST delicious fish dish I have EVER had- the flavors were out of this world! Food was so fresh!! My husband loved his Filet Mignon- worth every cent! The drinks were great, service was awesome and friendly (and they put the Red Sox game on for us as we were seated in the bar area.) What a delightful first dinner in Killington. Upon looking at our options for meals during our stay here, the Foundry looked to have the most potential. Not to toot my own horn, but I think I know how to pick 'em. The Foundry has a little bit of everything and does it all well. A diverse food menu with some serious standout items, a solid draft list and some decent cocktails if that's your thing, plus some terrific live music featured near the bar area. The staff is so wonderfully kind (always a bit jarring to experience small town charm after spending many years in NYC) and seem to genuinely enjoy working here. It's easy to tell when staff just tolerates customers in big tourist spots like Killington, but I felt the good vibes here. Great for families and couples alike, I'd highly recommend the Foundry for dinner and sounds like it's a solid brunch options here too. We came here at around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. The Foundry has two different rooms with two very different vibes: the front is a traditional dining room, lots of white tablecloths and small children, whereas the back has more of a relaxed, adults-only chill sesh thing going on. We were first seated in the front space, but I heard some music wandering out from further back and decided to take a gander. They had a cover band playing that was surprisingly good -- both vocalists were super talented -- so we asked to be moved back there and got to enjoy our dinner with a show. We'll start with drinks, because after a long day of travel and the physical and emotional pain that comes with extreme sciatica at 28 years old, drinks are what we were after first. We started with cocktails, which were decent but nothing too exciting. The bf got a dark & stormy, while I opted for a gin/luxardo drink. Both were just okay. But I'm coming from the snobbiness of Manhattan speakeasy culture so I'm both spoiled and biased. Still, I think the beer/cider menu here is far more impressive. I'm gluten-free so stuck with cider, and was pleased to learn that two of my favorite cider brands are actually local here! Downeast (Boston) and Citizen Cider (Burlington) are both featured on the menu here, and the Foundry had a few types I hadn't yet tried. I always appreciate when bars offer more than one cider option (especially if it's an upgrade from Angry Orchard) and I got to try two new tasty ones here. Our waitress recommended trying one with a shot of whiskey added (her personal favorite) and while I considered it, ordering a cider for me means *not* ordering a strong drink, so I passed. There's always next time! Food-wise, we attempted to sample the entire menu but the list of dishes is vast and the portions big, so we only skimmed the surface. Still, the surface was pretty darn tasty, so I'd say it's probably representative of the rest of the menu. I'd recommend doing what we did and ordering a good selection of plates from their "tapas" section, but I'm sure their mains are delightful too. We got a mix of proteins and veggies, a well-balanced meal I'd say. Eats, below: Tuna Tartare w/ wasabi soy vinaigrette, cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds, scallion, fried wontons: A- Solid preparation, very safe but not looking for adventurous takes on classics here, so it fit the bill. Fish was fresh, nice texture added by the seeds and fried wontons. Lamb Lollipops w/ arugula salad, grapefruit supreme, Citizen Cider glazed lamb: A+ These were the star of the night. Perfectly cooked and juicy, very flavorful, very decadent. The arugula and grapefruit added some nice bitterness and citrus to balance out the protein, very well-executed. Grilled Octopus w/ fried wakame, black garlic: A- Just so-so on the cook of the protein (though I'm very picky when it comes to octopus), too soft but not tender really. That said, the fried wakame and black garlic did a lot as far as texture and flavor were concerned, so still an enjoyable dish. Roasted Brussels Sprouts w/ blistered grapes, 8-year-aged balsamic: A I like my brussels a little crispier than these but they were still seasoned nicely and the grapes were a nice touch. Warming and seasonal, the balsamic adding some extra earthiness to the palette. Roasted Baby Carrots: A- Nothing special in terms of preparation but cooked well and gave us some extra veggies for the night. Vermont Cheese Board: A Okay just keep in mind they give you a lot of cheese here. I mean, certainly more bang for your buck but it's larger than many cheese plates you'll receive elsewhere. A nice sampling of local milks, everything delicious. One last shoutout to the music and our waitress. We felt taken care of there and snuggling up to good food, comfy seating and a couple of powerhouse vocalists was the perfect way to arrive in Killington.

Not great. Mediocre food, bad music, small portions. Salmon overcooked, Brussels sprouts undercooked, small portions of both. Slow service.

High quality items prepared at a very underwhelming level. Incredibly under seasoned. Duck skin grilled too aggressively, causing the bites with skin to taste like carbon - black is not brown. Not enough sauce in either plate. Sides under seasoned. The Lamb didn't even enter the same room as salt. Oysters had fragments of shells in them, indicating they were cleaned improperly. Knives were especially dull, making the act of cutting the meal far more difficult than myself or my date expected. Luckily, the music was great. Over priced and under executed. Would not come back any time soon. 3/10

The food quality is amazing. The portion size is absolutely lacking and so is the service. Walked in to celebrate my wife's birthday and our honeymoon and we're excited to try this spot out. From entering the two hostess were too bothered to greet us, but we were seated quickly. Our server was ok and nice throughout the meal. Ordered an appetizer that was smaller than a side dish. Cocktails were warm with gnats flying around them. Our entrees took over a half hour to come out to us, which is surprising since it was scallops and a steak. Steak was over cooked, we did not send it back as my wife was hungry. Food tasted amazing though. Overall, it was a cute place to eat at once.

This upscale rustic and chic eatery nestled in the heart of the Mount killington area is warm and exquisite restaurant with delicious food and drinks with a modern vibe. Their appetizers are eclectic with items like charcuterie board, oysters, burrata, and many salads. Their entrees span from pasta dishes, roast chicken, pork tenderloin, fish, filet mignon, Ny strip, and ribeyes amongst others. My fiancé filet mignon and my ribeye were juicy, rich, and mouth watering cooked to perfection. Sides include Mac and cheese, grilled asparagus, garlic mash potatoes (which are yummy), and grilled Brussels sprouts etc... Their desert was heavenly... we had a flourless chocolate ganache cake and a warm apple crisp, each bite made us give thanks for the opportunity to dine here the other evening... otherwise the drink menu was broad and offered something for everyone. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our dinner was next level. The perfect spot for an upscale dinner!

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was friendly and accommodating even in a season that isn't considered the best time to visit Vermont. Would def recommend this place to anyone looking for a breathtaking view and some tasty food with a live band.

We were a party of 12. My family said some things were great, others average. We all think it's above average. The waitress was very slow and she was below average.

I had such a great experience here a few weeks ago at The Foundry. It's a really pretty classic lodge restaurant with a view of a pond.. there was a live band there and our food was great. I have a gluten allergy and am vegan, and our server Tim couldn't have been better at helping to accommodate me. My friend and I are complicated eaters but he was so sweet and did an amazing job in general. The chef was really nice for making me some special vegan risotto and dessert! Will definitely come back during ski season!

Ate brunch here during our vacation to Killington. The restaurant is set on a pond and recreates a grist mill. We sat in the outdoor deck over the pond during a beautiful summer day. I ordered the split pea soup for an app and the chop salad with the addition of wild caught broiled salmon. The soup was okay, but the salad and salmon was really very, very tasty and fresh. We had also orders mussels which was great but we had to remind the waiter that it came with bread. Once the bread arrived, we used it to soak up the garlic flavored juices. Overall our waiter was very good, friendly, and talkative.
