The Foundry Suites Athens (Athens, Greece) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Mid-century style runs deep at the Foundry, a hip boutique hotel in Athens’s historic Psirri district — the building, constructed in 1930, originally served as a type foundry, and later as a printing house and a cultural center. Today, it’s home to a collection of industrial-chic suites with wood or terrazzo floors, high ceilings, large steel-framed windows, exposed stone walls, and a mix of vintage and modern furnishings. No two are the same, but all are apartment-like with open floor plans and features like fully equipped kitchens, built-in workspaces, and marble-lined bathrooms. Ground-floor units open onto private garden areas, while loft suites have two levels of living space connected by a floating staircase. Up on the lushly planted rooftop terrace, gourmet pizzas and Greek wines are served with a striking view of the Acropolis." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful four night stay at The Foundry Suites. The location is excellent with bars, shops and restaurants just a few minutes walk away - even the Acropolis is within walking distance. We stayed in D1 on the first floor - it was well appointed with plenty of space for 2 people and super stylish. The rooftop garden is great with fantastic views of the Acropolis. We popped up for some pre-dinner drinks and appreciated the complimentary welcome drink (a perk of booking direct.) The thing we probably loved most about our stay were the wonderful reception staff - they were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend!

We just spent four nights in this incredible hotel. Feels more like a flat , H1 suite. The design is unbelievable, authentic, made with love. We were welcomed by a wonderful staff, everyone with a warm smile and excellent suggestions. They were helpful and available anytime. The room was clean, the breakfast delicious and served on the top roof with an unmissable Acropolis view. We will be back.

I read about The Foundry in a UK newspaper city guide. What a fantastic find and base for our four night stay post cruise. We stayed in K2 which is perfect of you need two separate bedrooms, and kitchen facilities. We opted for the breakfast baskets daily at booking, and these were amazing, and with generous portions. I'll post some breakfast basket photos. The apartment photos on their website are an exact representation of our experience. The reception staff were friendly, and helped arrange transfers from the port and to the airport for us. Katerina was amazing.

The Foundry Suites are excellent. If you value a small boutique hotel experience then look no further. The rooms are spacious and very comfortably appointed. The location is ideal - a short walk to the action but not stuck in the middle of it. Countless nearby restaurants to choose from. The Foundry team are very welcoming and professional, always with a ready smile. We totally enjoyed our few nights at The Foundry and happily recommend it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️across the board! Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The service is fantastic, everyone is incredibly happy. The hotel is in walking distance to so many restaurants and bars in psyri, is close to monstiraki square. Rooftop garden has view of acropolis. Highly recommend staying here. It’s a boutique hotel with 20 or so rooms, we stayed in j2 room I think. It’s very modern and had everything we needed like a fridge. Even Warmed up our breakfast one morning on the cooktop which is delivered in a cute little basket. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem right in the heart of Athens. We only spent two nights here and would loved to have stayed longer. The rooftop garden offers spectacular views of the Acropolis. Breakfast is brought to either your room or to the rooftop garden in a loveky basket. The wonderful reception staff were so attentive and did everything possible to make our stay a pleasurable one. An added bonus was the vinyl record player in our room - never seen thst before!

This place is quite a delight. The room is appointed with everything you would need to stay for a month. Staff were overly helpful. The picnic breakfast was such a joy (make sure you enjoy on the roof garden if weather permits). Easy walk yo acropolis and the local area with eating options galore. On weekends they open the roof bar and the cocktails are to die for, and pizzas are pretty good.

Unfortunately, this property has disappointed us in several important ways. Although the onsite staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful, the management does not uphold the same level of integrity.|The property was advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but the so-called second bedroom had a ceiling height of only 1.35 metres (53 inches). It was impossible for any adult to stand upright, forcing us to move around bent over; uncomfortable at best, and potentially dangerous, especially at night.|Breakfast was also a disappointment. It is not prepared onsite but delivered from elsewhere, and by the time it reached our apartment it was cold. The coffee was lukewarm, and the cooked food was barely warm enough to eat.|I requested a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill and fair compensation, but this was refused.|In summary, good location, but its description is seriously misleading.
