We stayed in fox tower last night and likely will not return. It was our second time staying here this year. Upon arrival (~6pm Wednesday 4/24) there was a very long line, with about 10 reservations ahead of us. It seemed as though the attendants standing around (not checking people in) could have been helping or at least offering waters, information, interacting with guests or SOMETHING other than standing there chatting with each other.
Our "handicapped" room had a regular bathtub you had to step over the side to get into, with no bench or seat for showering. The drain for the tub was broken, so it filled with water while showering and then slowly drained hours later.
This morning I went down to ask about access to pools and recommendations for breakfast. Mary waved me to the counter and I said "good morning we are staying in fox tower, is there a pool that we can use?" She did not answer me, instead she referred me to a woman who I assume was the manager. She explained the indoor pool is owned by the spa and we would only have access to it if we purchased spa service or a pass. I asked about the other hotel pools and was told they were not for fox tower guests. So in addition to fox tower being far away from most of the casino, there is no pool accessible to guests unless it is summer? I politely thanked the manager and after I had turned around, Mary said "have a good day." I guess she didn't hear me say "you too" since she then turned to the manager(?) and laughed saying something about the gesture not being returned. Overall was not impressed with Mary's lack on knowledge of the services offered to guests, and was very put off by her blatant rudeness. I walked over to juniors to look at their breakfast menu and the hostess did not understand when I asked if they were able to make breakfast sandwiches to go. She walked me to the to go counter where a nice woman explained they could make a breakfast sandwich but it would cost about $25 after tax.
After returning to the room, we heard knocking from room service on the door. We had our do not disturb tag up, as it was only 9am and my partner was still relaxing in bed. I said no thank you we closed the door. For the next half hour or so, all we could hear was the room service attendants banging around and yelling to each other in the hallway. We decided at that point that we would just drop our keys off and leave.
I was hopeful after our last stay that things would be better this time, but I have to say, due to the inaccessible bathtub, lack of customer service, and Mary's blatant rudeness, we will not be returning. With so many other options and another casino just a few miles away, it seems as though fox tower does not care to retain customers at all.
