The Frangipani Langkawi Resort

Welcomed from the start by Carolyn the manager, and check in all smooth, bags delivered to the room.|Staff all smiling and friendly and are an absolute asset to the property. Breakfast was great, a selection catering to all tastes from fruit to curry and everything in between. Rooms were clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Although some parts of the resort are ageing, there is an ongoing refurbishment programme but this doesn't spoil the location and the feel of the place. Bar staff were incredible and always happy. Prices were reasonable for drinks and food and of a good quality. The pool area was great with a choice of seawater or chlorine pool. Our time went too quickly as usual and we were sad to leave. I would recommend the resort for the location, the friendliness of the staff and just an around nice place to spend some time.

Our 3-night stay at Frangipani Langkawi Resort was a delightful and relaxing experience with a few minor hiccups. One of the highlights was the sea view restaurant—watching the rain while dining was a beautiful, calming experience. The buffet breakfast was tasty and fresh, though the variety was limited and could be improved.The room was cozy and comfortable, but the bathroom fittings could use an upgrade—there was some leakage from the bidet. We also had a brief power outage, but it was quickly fixed after we reported it.The overall ambience was serene and enchanting, with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and a clear commitment to eco-friendly, sustainable practices. The beach had heavy waves, making it less ideal for swimming, but the pool and jacuzzi were clean, relaxing, and enjoyable.Considering the location, peaceful setting, and unique charm, we felt it offered good value for money—perfect for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.

I had an amazing experience staying at this beachside resort during my vacation — definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to! The location is stunning, right by the beach and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation was super comfortable and all the facilities were top-notch.The staff were really friendly and always ready to help with a smile. What I loved the most was how kid-friendly the place was. The hotel organized several fun activities just for children and my kids had a blast participating in them — they were entertained and happy throughout the stay!The buffet breakfast was another highlight — so many tasty options and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start each day.A special mention to Mrs. Mary, the tour manager who was incredibly supportive. She helped coordinate all our activities in Langkawi smoothly and made our trip even more enjoyable.Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Langkawi — it’s perfect for families, couples or even solo travelers looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

The simple, slow beach life in the lap of nature. The food and hospitality are top notch, and we are definitely revisiting this place soon with family. The eco-friendly activities and initiatives are thoughtfully crafted, keeping in mind the guests who are visiting. 10/10 would recommend!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here, we loved our "little hut" was very spacious and were surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff were lovely, it is close to lots of things, such as local restaurants and shops, including walking distance, a nice little private beach and the pools are fantastic. If I had to pick 2 things to improve it would be nice to have a some more variety for breakfast, like some cheese and cold meats, or change up from Indian style food each morning. The other would be better water pressure in the shower, but loved having the outdoor style shower. I am already planning to come again later in the year and bring my husband, hopefully we can nab the same room again. Thank you for having us 🙂

They consistently went above and beyond their duties, ensuring that every little detail was taken care of. Their genuine hospitality and unwavering commitment not only made our stay seamless but also reflected their deep loyalty to the Frangipani brand. This level of service does more than just create satisfied guests—it strengthens the hotel’s reputation and showcases Malaysia’s world-class hospitality to visitors from around the globe. A special mention goes to Ms. Izaah from the front desk, whose kindness and efficiency made a lasting impression. She ensured that we get a room which was convenient for us in terms of the distance from the reception and breakfast area, as requested by me because I was travelling with a senior citizen. I really appreciated that! Additionally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at the bar and breakfast area, who made every meal a delightful experience with their attentiveness and warm service. Our experience at Frangipani Langkawi has only reinforced our faith in the brand, and we sincerely hope that the management acknowledges and appreciates the dedication of these exceptional individuals. I would agree with some of the comments on here, saying the resort takes getting used to. When we first arrived, we were shocked with how run down it appeared. The location is good, very quiet, the staff are friendly and kind - having the 2 pools is nice. the pool, the public washroom and breakfast area are all clean. our room was clean and cleaning service and new towels were provided daily. I found the breakfast very good for our 5 night stay. My complaint would be to the owners and management......the hotel really needs some updating - it would make a world of difference to hire more staff to maintain the grounds - could use a couple more ppl maintaining. Money needs to be put into some upgrades - visually blocking areas that are having work done but make a point to get these areas fixed up. I find the paths don't need to be fancy but they should be uniform @ the moment the width changes, the heights change. The rooms are dated too - most would be OK, but the bathroom and kitchen. area could use some updates. we enjoyed our stay - we were regrouping as a family.

Very good resort, good room upper level or story much bigger than the ground floor. Take near pool or see will be better. Breakfast Asian but n8ceyou can get corroasn, omlete. Nice beach near sea amenities. 5 minuets from cinnamon beach and city famous street. All are good and recommended. Ahh, take mosquito spry, use grab for transportation and food delivery also.

Absolutely loved our stay here. At first I was nervous that staying at an eco hotel meant we'd suffer in terms of amenities but I couldn't have been more wrong! The pools were amazing, although we preferred the chlorine pool bc it offered more shade options than the saltwater pool. The daily morning activities were a really nice touch, including the bunnies by the beach which was such a delight. The staff was always super friendly and kind and able to help with any questions we had. The morning breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel buffets I've ever experienced. There was so much variety and it changed a bit each day to keep it exciting! Our room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor shower was actually really fun to use, especially after the pool/beach. The location was great as well, as there were a lot of good restaurants, spas, shopping, and cafes nearby within walking distance.

My wife and I recently hosted our wedding at the resort. We have also stayed here on two separate occasions. I would say the resort is situated in the perfect location because it is distanced a bit from the main attractions of Cenang but close enough to be able to walk there. The nice thing is the beach is mostly private, since it is a bit of a walk from Cenang Beach. The resort itself has been well kept every time we are there. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to stay at this resort. The food, service, and accommodations are all great. They also have a desk in the lobby to book excursions and activities throughout Langkawi.

Super friendly staff. The front office looks a bit old but the rooms are pretty modern. The resort takes ecofriendliness pretty seriously, so the whole surrounding is clean and green. The bar is pretty decent. Breakfast was alright with a slight regional touch. Would definitely stay here again if I visit langkawi again.
