The Frangipani Langkawi Resort

Stay there from 2-5 Jan'26, its a nice place, with many options of rooms, we took the garden villa. While its not getting direct seaview, we can see the beach from our little villa. For breakfast, it has a good spread and quite tasty. Slightly old place, but otherwise, well maintain. Located by the beach, but bit far from Cenang(where all the malls and main shops located), so if you're looking for place to relax, this is wonderful place to choose, far from all crowd. It has Restaurant on site with reasonably priced menu and you can find shops, spa, massage place and food places nearby, walking distance- just outside the resort.

This is a truly beautiful place to be in Langkawi. It’s right on the beach with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Rooms are spacious and clean though you can hear the neighbours next to you. Perhaps adding a door between bedroom and wardrobe/bathroom area will provide privacy. Aircon and fan in the room work great. Room was cleaned daily. Staff are really good, helpful,polite, and always smiling. My husband and I are having a great time here. Even though the place needs renovation, everything is functional and nice.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Frangipani Resort. The staff were friendly, helpful and very responsive to emails during the booking process, making it easy to organise things for our group of eight people. We found the resort pleasingly quiet (Dec 2025) for the number of rooms available, and very friendly for kids. The direct access to the beach is wonderful, and the views are extraordinary. The grounds are fastidiously maintained, and the whole place has a focus on sustainability and environmental education.

I had an amazing experience at this resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The villa was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect — close to main attractions yet quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the facilities were well-maintained. I especially appreciated the small touches that made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back! Also they have private beach 🏖️

The hotel is old and needs to be maintained better. The service is slow and not really up to the mark. Very limited menu in the restaurant and not many options for vegetarians. The view is fabulous and sea is quickly accessible from the property. And that is the best part about the hotel.

Great location and a pleasant property. Breakfast buffet had ample options and was quite good. However, hospitality needs improvement. Room was not provided on time, cleanliness was below expectations, and there were no food options suitable for a baby, which was inconvenient for families.

Amazing beach front location, great common facilities (except for unhygienic public washroom). Layout and walkway has a classic and old school charm. However, I am very disappointed with the room shower area. Water pressure is very low, and the tiles has not been scrubbed properly, there are spider webs too when I lift my head a bit to look around. Stained floor mat and bed sheet provided, I just have to close one eye…… not worth the price if you ask me.

Frangipani is fabulous!  Great location, perfect setting right on the beach, lovely villas surrounded by greenery rather than being in a tall apartment block, beautiful pools and a restaurant and bar overlooking the beach and sunset. Service was very prompt and friendly. The holistic approach to sustainability and zero waste was a real highlight (do the farm tour!) and a very welcome surprise. Definitely recommend staying there.

Absolutely loved our stay here. At first I was nervous that staying at an eco hotel meant we'd suffer in terms of amenities but I couldn't have been more wrong! The pools were amazing, although we preferred the chlorine pool bc it offered more shade options than the saltwater pool. The daily morning activities were a really nice touch, including the bunnies by the beach which was such a delight. The staff was always super friendly and kind and able to help with any questions we had. The morning breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel buffets I've ever experienced. There was so much variety and it changed a bit each day to keep it exciting! Our room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor shower was actually really fun to use, especially after the pool/beach. The location was great as well, as there were a lot of good restaurants, spas, shopping, and cafes nearby within walking distance.

My wife and I recently hosted our wedding at the resort. We have also stayed here on two separate occasions. I would say the resort is situated in the perfect location because it is distanced a bit from the main attractions of Cenang but close enough to be able to walk there. The nice thing is the beach is mostly private, since it is a bit of a walk from Cenang Beach. The resort itself has been well kept every time we are there. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to stay at this resort. The food, service, and accommodations are all great. They also have a desk in the lobby to book excursions and activities throughout Langkawi.

Super friendly staff. The front office looks a bit old but the rooms are pretty modern. The resort takes ecofriendliness pretty seriously, so the whole surrounding is clean and green. The bar is pretty decent. Breakfast was alright with a slight regional touch. Would definitely stay here again if I visit langkawi again.
