Fabulous food with a new menu with a slightly Mauritian influence. Charle, who is just back from a gig designing a new menu for a Sofitel, is talented and creative. The owners and staff work incredibly hard to deliver perfection in this amazing gem of a restaurant. Delightful and slightly funky ambiance. Unmissable. Vaut bien le détour.

We had the most wonderful evening here, and the food, wine, and service was exceptional. After dining at most of the best restaurants in Melbourne, this was such a big surprise to experience fine French dining in Yamba. We couldn’t choose between entrees, so we had all four of them, and they were individually excellent. The “finest rosé in the world” was pretty close to its claim and we had a wonderful Burgundy with our pork main. All round, highly recommended!!

Simple and delish food which was served promptly. Atmosphere slightly rushed. Only downside was waitstaff experience perhaps. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant just rushed and slightly unattentive once orders were placed. May have been an off night. We wanted wine with our main but found it difficult to get staff attention and empty plates were whisked away before we could order a glass in between main and dessert. I noticed a lot of empty glasses at other tables...lost opportunity of revenue? Just felt very rushed and they were flustered when paying. We where there an hour for main & dessert. Could have been that they did not have enough staff for busy night.

Great find for really good food. They accommodated a garlic allergy readily and with style. Not cheap but worth the money. The snapper was superb , moist inside crispy outside. The bouillabaise innovative, fresh and delicious. The creme brulee (deconstructed) was delightful and delicious. Can't wait until they extend the dessert menu. Waitstaff efficient and helpful. We wish them well.

Superb!!!! As always! This beautiful little gem in Yamba has never disappointed. Charly is a very talented chef and his food surprises and delights the senses... The food is nothing short of exquisite and the service warm and friendly. We are so lucky to have such a passionate young couple bringing such elegant and refined food to Yamba.

We have just had a stunning meal at The French Pan a Tree. Service friendly and attentive. All courses were just delicious. The shoulder of piglet a standout as was the confit of duck too. Chocolate mousse with crumb, purée and ice cream, to die for! $50 for 3 delicious courses excellent value..or $40 for two. We’ll definitely be back on our return to Yamba.

French cuisine finally hits the north coast. The boy can cook and the waitress can move around tables like an elegant dancer loving her craft. Two artisans splashing their skills in Yamba. We are very very lucky to have them in our midst. A new reason to visit this countries sunniest and most lovable beachside town.
