Stayed one night. Such a lovely peaceful place. Our room was a good size bright and had everything required for our stay. Loved the ceiling fan which kept us cool on one of the hottest days of the year.located in a nice street a short walk from the town centre. The hotel had a lovely outside space and a very good English breakfast amongst other choices. TOP Tip: breakfast is best ordered the night before parking to rear of hotel as street spaces are limited

Great little b&b, room was ideal, massive bed with lovely clean white linen, tea & coffee facilities including oat milk and some fresh milk in a fridge upstairs if you required it. Large bathroom with walk in shower and toiletries. Breakfast is pre ordered, not a problem, we had scrambled egg on toast and a large full English breakfast, both were delicious. Fruit, cereals and yogurt also on offer. The coffee came in a pot so it kept hot. There’s parking on the road outside and also round the back. |Jennifer is a lovely host and you can tell she’s passionate about her business, would definitely stay again.

We stayed one night on our way north. The owners were very friendly and keen to make sure we were comfortable. We had a room overlooking the cobbled Frenchgate street, and it was lovely to hear the church clock chiming although it stopped from 2200 to 0800. Very quiet, no through traffic.||Bed was a super king size. Everything was very clean, bathroom was spotless. ||Breakfast was relaxed in the downstairs dining room, and with a full and generous menu. I had smoked salmon with scrambled egg. There was a choice of croissants, fruit juices, cereal and muesli too as well as full cooked breakfast, including vegetarian.||Parking in their private car park behind Frenchgate.||An easy walk into the town and along the river to the Station where we had pizzas for the price of two for one.

Although we arrived early, Jennifer gave us our keys so we could let ourselves in later. She kindly gave us a few recommendations for lunch. Great local knowledge. The B&B was in a great location, only a short walk from the town centre. Room was very nice with a full beverage tray along with chilled water and milk available in a chill box on the landing. Excellent breakfast as well... Definitely well worth booking when in the area.

We really enjoyed our two night midweek break. A very warm welcome from our host, lovely room (with a ceiling fan which was a blessing), nice garden at the rear and although there is no bar, glasses are left out for your use so you can buy your own. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The location is very close to everything. It also has its own carpark which in itself a rarity in Richmond.

Beautiful, attractive old stone built property. Large warm, room with huge comfortable bed and freestanding bath in corner. Overlooking the cobbled road outside. Large bathroom with excellent walk in shower. High quality fittings. Free parking with no restrictions. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by our host and shown to our room, everything clearly explained. Extensive breakfast menue, perfectly prepared. In the evening we had tapas at 29 Frenchgate, just a 5 minute stroll down the hill towards the market square. A small perfectly run establishment. Some of the best tapas ever. Plenty of interesting walks in and around the town. Good bus service from the market square.

We stayed two nights at the Frenchgate B&B as we were going to a wedding nearby. The service was excellent and smooth. We were sent directions for parking in advance, we were given a iron and ironing board and when we missed breakfast after the wedding we were offered a packed lunch and coffee. The breakfast was generous and delicious and the room was a very good size. Location is also fantastic and Richmond is a lovely town to spend some time in.
