"Don’t let the pint-sized interior of the Frog Pond fool you! Its menu features a whopping twenty kinds of omelets and seven variations on Eggs Benedict. Extra hungry – and a little brave? Try the Pond Plate, with three kinds of meat, mac salad, onions, fries, house-made hot sauce – all topped with a pair of frog legs. Mmm. Yummy." - Leah Garlock

Went here for breakfast a few days ago while in town. I got the vegetarian eggs Benedict and my friend got Berry French toast. His was great. Mine was pretty good except…when I broke the yolk and tried—the eggs were cold. Maybe the dish had been made in advance and warmed up? Nonetheless it was a really friendly really cool spot. I would definitely go back though not get the eggs Benedict.

Today was me and my boyfriend’s first time trying breakfast here and it did not disappoint at all. It was amazing and we will be back!

Breakfast food around noon on a beautiful Sunday. Waited about 20min for table then sat outside. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. This was my first time there, although I knew my kids already enjoyed the food, and WOW, they are correct. We shared the banana oatmeal, strawberry pancakes, and egg/home fries platter. I recommend all the above. We already have plans to go back for the oatmeal again! Coffee was also good and i don't even like coffee. If you know the area you know parking is a beast; street only.

I visited this place on my lonesome for a leisurely Memorial Day Brunch and didn't know the amazing experience I was about to have. In my opinion, this place has the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had. Also, I had their seasonal pancake that came with a fruit compote as well as shortbread cookie pieces and it was a delectable treat I will not soon forget. I have recommended this place to any and all looking for a good breakfast in the Rochester area.

I came in on a Wednesday morning, our server was very friendly and the service was fast. The food was delicious and very filling. Good prices for what you get. Coffee tasted fresh! I got the berry French toast and the mascarpone cream was sooo good. My boyfriend got the eggs your way plate and sampled his home fries and they were crispy and well seasoned!

I’ve been looking forward to “hopping over” to the Frog Pond after hearing a lot of the advertisements on WHAM 1180 radio. I was not disappointed. I went there for breakfast around 10 AM and ordered their $7.99 special which they honor if you mentioned the radio ad. It consisted of two eggs any style, your choice of meat, toast, and home fries or fruit. The over medium eggs were cooked to perfection. Their Frog Pond bacon is amazing; it is marinated and coated with a brown sugar glaze… So yummy! I also tried a side of their corned beef hash, which was just OK. (My favorite hash in all of Greater Rochester is at Great American Finer in Fairport). Their menu also offers a good variety of other breakfast options, but today I just stuck to the basics. I will definitely go back to try out some of their other menu items.

What a great place for breakfast! We finally had a day off when this place was open and had to try it! It did not disappoint at all, food was great with big portions. Service was quick and food came out at a good pace. Everything tasted homemade. Definitely will be returning.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Frog Pond. My pancakes were so delicious with the homemade strawberry jam. My friend had the cinnamon French toast with fresh strawberries and honey. It was absolutely delightful! And...we loved the soft 80's music. My only suggestion is for our server, please don't wear perfume around customers. It was very strong! You don't need it. You are beautiful enough!! 😘❤️😘

Yelp
Perfect place for brunch--all of the classics done exceptionally well. Since it was fall, I had to order the apple french toast, and it was so yummy! The dollops of mascarpone cream elevated the dish, and the whole thing felt like a warm, cozy hug. I added a side of corned beef hash and together, they made for a perfect meal. We came during brunch hours on a Sunday without reservation and were able to get a table for two without a wait. Service was friendly and attentive. It's a small place with a good amount of seating, so it does get on the louder side, but nothing overwhelming. Overall, great place for a comforting meal!

Yelp
My third time at The Frog Pond on Park, and one thing holds true: their food, ambiance, service, and experience are exactly what I expect every time. The hostess, Sam, got us seated in one of their corner window booths quickly considering the Sunday brunch rush, and our server Dawn kept our coffee full and was friendly and welcoming. I'd ordered their Monte Cristo sandwich in the past, and this time talked my mom into trying it as she was teetering between sweet and savory. The portions here are sizable--you won't leave hungry--and something like the Monte Cristo could easily be split between two people. I tried their Korean fried chicken sandwich, which came topped with spicy-sweet pickled veggies and was perfectly crispy and juicy. The French onion soup was also quite good--think the platonic ideal of French onion soups, and you're just about there. My dad had the build your own omelette, which comes at a flat price of $10 plus a little for whatever fillings you choose to add from their broad variety. It was a pretty standard diner-style omelette, and he added Gouda, prosciutto, and heirloom cherry tomatoes to fill the eggs. He wasn't blown away by the omelette, but says the filling options were a nice addition and he cleaned his plate. I continue to recommend The Frog Pond to anyone looking for a tasty, homey brunch in Park Avenue, but be aware the space is small and can get a little loud with everyone holding conversations.

Yelp
The menu and the options here were great and catered to everybody in the party. We came on a Wednesday morning after the holidays and it was pretty busy, but not too crazy. It's very cute and cozy inside; you can see the kitchen and everything is frog-themed. The food was good- I got the berry french toast- but the service was a little off. I felt like I was making the waitress upset by asking for silverware, water refills, etc. That said, I know that the holiday season can be a busy time for a lot of restaurants and it's probably not a fun time to work. I'll definitely come back again!

Yelp
Had lunch here (thank God myself) and the environment is relaxing and they have tables outside which is good for the summer time (this is the only positive). The staff seemed busy eventhough there was not a lot of people. They also don't check on you. Takes forever to PAY!. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people with a low sodium diet as they don't cook with any salt or seasoning at all! I ordered steak/eggs and home fries with toast. Where do I start? 1) the home fries, burned 2) the eggs were not completely cooked (you could see the running whites which is disgusting to me) 3) the steak was cold and had no flavor (didn'teven taste like steak). I can only imagine that they took it from the freezer and threw it in the grill. 4l) the toast, soft due to the amount of butter they added. I think they may have submerged the toast on liquid butter 5) this place is overpriced given that the food/service is horrible. I frankly don't understand how they are still in business. Don't waste your money here, there are better places in the area.

Yelp
We stopped by for some breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food that awaited us. While the service was a bit slower, it was also a Monday morning, so we'll have to go it another go. Meanwhile, the food was great, portions were huge, and everything was yummy. Great price for what you're getting. The inside has been renovated and offers plenty of seating and light, making it a perfect brunch or lunch stop with a small group of friends.

Yelp
Thought I had written a review before.. alas not This new itteration was purchased by a new group if I am correct. The inside has been updated. They have some counter seating, a few booths, tables and a long table going town and aisle when you open the door. Now they have two doors to get in but if it's cold out you feel it and not my idea of a great thing. Service is efficient and effective as only two people are serving on a busy Saturday. Food is fairly solid diner fare. If you want a soft drink it's not on tap just an FYI. Coffee is mild and not bad tasting. Yes you can get a mimosa and I still think Bloody Mary's too. People who don't really want to wait at Jines come here but it's not a big spot and gets busy fast. I had a Monte Cristo it was hot and the fries were too and my husband had the French Onion Soup he said it could have been hotter. It's 3 outta 5 it's a solid breakfast/brunch but nothing earth shattering. Parking street or shared lot you gotta pay for.

Yelp
The place was a cool little diner style cafe.. the food was solid and the waitress was amazing . Very good descriptions of everything and timely.. the vibe inside is amazing .. 90's tunes coming out of speakers and decor awesome ..

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was 8 years old, the place has gone through a few ownership changes since then but 12 years later it remains one of the greatest places for breakfast in rochester. The chef Jake makes an amazing french toast, the frog pond recipe that uses cinnamon swirl bread as a base is a classic, and a must try.

Mark B.

Yelp
I had been going to the previous version of The Frog Pond for 10 years. The new ownership tried to capitalize on the name while simultaneously removing everything that made the previous restaurant special. They removed the artwork and replaced it with chintzy frog wallpaper and completely changed the menu. The food is edible, but nothing I would go out of my way for or that I couldn't get in any other run of the mill diner.

Rummi B.

Yelp
Really disgusting food. I got the French toast and it was soggy. The corned beef hash was mushy although at least the meat was well cooked. Typical fare for a "greasy spoon" diner. I would not come back again, and I wasted 32 dollars.

Richard J.

Yelp
They have liquor license but they do not serve wine. I ordered the house made corn beef hash with pouched eggs and hollandaise sauce. Well their house made hash was large fried potatoes mixed with minuet pieces of canned corn beef with no onions and it was very Spicy. The eggs were barely runny(over done) and the sauce was broken,

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast/lunch/brunch menu, except food, pancakes are amazing, be sure to ask for the fresh jam, and they get their bread fresh daily from a local bakery down the street. We just love this spot and go as often as we can.

Annie S.

Yelp
Great brunch option. Kombucha comes by the bottle and has tasty unique flavors. Lots of mirrors which makes the place feel a bit bigger. Also a pretty young crowd :)

Wendy B.

Yelp
I love this place. We had the special sourdough with bacon, avocado, tomato with poached eggs and potatoes. Generous portion. Friendly atmosphere. I would go again.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Large portions and food is excellent! Nice vibe inside. I definitely would go back and it would be a fun place to take people from out of town .

Yelp
Breakfast foods looked delicious. Lunch, however, was overpriced and we weren't impressed. Waiter was very nice.

Patty S.

Yelp
Enjoyed The Frog egg dish, yum! Service was welcoming & super friendly. Nice ambiance.

Yelp
Good food. Lovely and chill vibe. Will be there very soon. Must try brunch in Rochester.

Yelp
Great meal and great service! Our server, Nina, was so sweet! We ordered pancakes, poached egg special, and a chicken wrap. Everything arrived hot and fresh. I might add the condiment bottles were clean. I much appreciate a ketchup bottle that isn't caked with crust. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
