The food here was just okay. Portions were huge, but the flavor was mediocre at best. Our server was wonderful and very accommodating, so was the waiter that sat us when we first arrived.
The issue I had was with either the shift leader, or the manager....
We were greeted when we came in by a friendly male employee. There were maybe 2-4 other tables of people eating the time we arrived, so the restaurant had a plethora of available tables (no reserved signs up to mark otherwise). The waiter tried sitting us in a table far off in the back corner. We asked for a booth near the window of their establishment. He happily obliged our request... that is when a woman interjected herself (I am assuming was the manager). She approached us with a scowl on her face. She only addressed the employee, and told him to sit us at the table in the back corner. She never acknowledged us, said hello, smiled, made eye contact, nor made any attempt at all to share a positive encounter. He explained that we requested a booth and walked us over to where we asked to sit. She again told him to sit us at a table. He in return sat us where we asked to sit and went in the back where the kitchen possibly was. I saw the woman following behind him as if she was upset he didn't listen to her and she was going to reprimand him.
This is extremely rude and unprofessional. People are watching every little thing when they come in for an experience in your restaurant. Be personable, it would have been a split second and would have really gone a long way as far at first impressions. If there was an issue, that can be addressed discreetly, later on. The man was just doing his job, a lot better than she was to be quite frank. Especially when the restaurant was practically empty.
