The Fry

Tried The Fry Wellesley branch recently, and it was a great experience overall! The place has a cozy, casual vibe with friendly staff who made sure everything came out fresh and hot. The Cheeseling Chicken was definitely the highlight; perfectly crispy, tender inside, and covered in that addictive cheesy coating. We also had the supreme and teokbokki on the side, both really tasty. The portions were generous, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. Great spot for Korean fried chicken lovers — I’ll definitely be back for the Cheeseling again!

The fried chicken here is one of the best, super fresh, crispy, and juicy. The combos are a great option for sharing and the portions are fairly big. The creamy onion is definitely the best flavour, but we also got green onion, original, and cheeseling. The rose tteokboki wasn’t as creamy as we expected which was slightly disappointing, and the corn cheese wasn’t the best (cheese was just a glob on top). Chicken was definitely the best item. Service was great as well, but there’s not too many tables inside for seating.

What a lifesaver that this is open so late. The food was delicious and affordable. Their packages offer great values. I was not expecting the portions to be so massive! The onion flavor was my favorite (I forgot to take a picture). Good acidity with a creamy sauce. Soy garlic is always a go-to. The scallion chicken was good, but the sauce on top was too salty.

Tried The Fry and was really impressed, our waitress Jenny was awesome and friendly. The chicken was super crispy and flavorful, not greasy at all. I got the soy garlic and spicy flavors, and both were awesome. The soy garlic had a nice sweet-savory balance, and the spicy one had a good kick without being too much.

Really impressed by how juicy and tender the inside of the fried chicken was. I got the takeout menu that's a lot cheaper than the sit-in menu (just ~$21 for medium vs. ~$28 for small). I know it's takeout because the waitress brought the food to me in a takeout box and not on a plate and took away the cutlery. But I finished the food at the restaurant without problems. Music was too loud but tolerable

Ordered takeout and was expecting better based off reviews. However, I am quite disappointed. Although the flavour is good, many pieces of chicken were just bone with barely any meat. When there were pieces with more meat on it, it has a freezer taste to it as well as tasting stale and kinda sour. For the price (over $30 after tax for a small portion), this definitely could have been better.

Came here late with co-workers since we were hungry and wanted food and drinks. There was only one server at the front and informed us there's an automatic gratuity for groups of 5+, since is fine by us. She was nice and delivered our order efficiently. I got a grape highball, which was kind of hard to drink cause all the grape syrup was condensed to the bottom, but it was fine after a while. Food itself could've been more flavourful, but it was still good.

Absolutely delicious! The fried chicken here is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—some of the best I’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing, and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend!
