Google
We go at least once a year. I try a new ice cream and it's always amazing. This time I had the dairy free cookie dough and loved it

Victoria V

Google
I really like how there is a variety of ice cream and sweets, especially the fudge. Would definitely recommend to visit.

Google

What can I say? Well the manager with the glasses Dan is an absolute zero! My wife and I walked in before closing and one of the young kids ran out of chocolate ice cream. He started scraping out the melted leftovers from the old tub. When I told him that I didn't want the old melted stuff, they brought out a tub that couldn't even be scooped because it was too hard. They looked at me as if to say "oh well" Then "Dan" came over with an attitude, charged us for my wife's ice cream and said Carvel is around the block. We walked out and they immediately shut off the lights. For a place that charges $12 for two scoops, the owner needs to invest in a manager that gives a hoot about their customers. Thank you to Carvel around the corner for the amazing ice cream and very nice staff. Update.... After reading your response to my review, you know exactly the situation I was referring to. And you nor your staff were willing to do anything, matter of fact like I stated you just starred at us as if you wanted us to just leave because you were closing up. No curses were made, that's your way of making up an excuse for poor customer service and treatment. By the way, we weren't the only ones to notice. The only reason why I posted a review at all was because the ladies behind us stated how rood you were outside. But its ok, because after losing us as a customer in the future, I'm sure the other ladies who were there won't be coming in again.

Google
The peanut butter chocolate fudge is my go to. I love that they hire young kids to get some work experience behind the counter.

Google
Their fudge is $28.00 a pound!! I've had rare cheeses with black truffle that cost less! Give me a break. I bought a half pound of the vanilla fudge and it was pretty bad -- really, really bad if you think about how much you just spent. It tasted like melted white chocolate chips. I should have sampled it first, but I've never had a bad vanilla fudge...until now. The clerk said they never sell any vanilla fudge and now I know why. We sampled the chocolate, as we were told this is their best seller, and that wasn't great either. It was just ok. Tasted closer to a tootsie roll or a ganache, not a classic chocolate fudge. I have made better fudge from the recipe on the side of a can of carnation condensed milk. It's getting 2 stars because the staff was very nice and helpful. Save your money and go to the fudge place in Montauk, or better yet, a Delaware beach.

Google
If fudge is your thing (I find it too sweet) then you will love this place. They have all kind of classics (chocolate, walnut, etc.) and some others more original (Oreo, peanut butter, cheesecake). You’ll also find plenty of candies and frozen yogurt on the back. The owner is very friendly and will answer every question you may have. Yes, it’s quite expensive but nothing seems to be cheap in the Hamptons.

Google
Great little ice cream and fudge shop. Where you can get 2 scoops for $11.00 🥺 or Great multiple flavors of fudge a decent price..🤔 seems upside down or could it be gouging..hhmm

Yelp
An absolute Southampton classic & a must for not only delicious ice cream but for their fabulous candy selection !!

Larissa P.

Yelp
Very delicious and flavorful ice cream, consistent over the years. The Fudge Company is my choice all year long for ice cream, real milk shakes, candy and fudge.

Yelp
Ice cream is quality is standard. Flavors are fun. Portions are huge but though so a single scoop is massive and quite the bargain here I'd say. They also have fudge if you're a time traveler from the 1800s that you may enjoy as well. Plus chocolate covered pretzels for the middle aged women in your life.

Yelp
The Fudge Company has been a Hamptons institution since 1973. I remember when there was one in East Hampton, and two in Southampton. Now only the one on 67 Main in Southampton remains. It used to be more of a unique type of place. Premium ice cream, homemade fudge, chocolates, penny candy, and gummies all under one roof! Now one can find these types of places all over. In Florida, just find any Kilwins to get your sweet tooth fix. Although I would pick Kilwins over the Fudge Company any day, it is still a great place to stop for dessert in Southampton. A multitude of ice cream flavors, including soft serve is available. On our visit they had one of my go to flavors, Chocolate Peanut Butte, but only in frozen yogurt, not ice cream. The consistency was lighter than ice cream but it still had a deep chocolate flavor and plenty of peanut butter. My husband and kids enjoyed their ice cream and chocolate treats. The servers are kids....no great social skills but they got the job done and kept the line moving. The place is not cheap but I find similar prices at any premium ice cream shop, even in Florida. It is a small place so I can see it getting crowded on summer nights. Have patience and appreciate the simple things in life like an expensive ice cream cone on a hot summer night on Main street in Southampton.

Yelp
Yummy ice cream right in the center of town. They also carry my favorite jelly rings.

Yelp
Came in here the other day. The sweetest man was working. He gave my boyfriend and I some history on the location. They have been open for such a long time and all their fudge and candy is fresh! He gave us a little sample of the fudge and it was so sweet and creamy! We bought some sour strips which were out of this world. Also they had some salt water taffy in packages which I had to buy as well. They have parking in the front of the location on the Main Street.

Yelp
Truly a shame. The place is a mess and dirty all the time. Consistently stocked out on candy items. Sky high insulting prices for ice cream. The staff is lazy and disengaged regularly. It's the only name in town other than Carvel. If a friendly operator who ran a good alternative were to arrive, this place would be flushed. It's what it deserves. The fudge and ice cream are good quality, that's it.

Yelp
This is a pretty nondescript ice cream and chocolate shop, however, it draws crowds. I decided to come here after dinner and I tried the cookies and cream ice cream in a cup. The ice cream was solid but nothing spectacular. They had a nice assortment of chocolates (e.g., truffles, chocolate dipped pretzels), though I did not try them. I'd say this is a solid place for desserts, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Yelp
Good fudge and ice cream. Friendly staff. Open late. Perfect stop after dinner or strolling through town.

Yelp
I don't necessarily seek out ice cream shops because I'm more of a candy person than a dessert person, but after dinner one night out in the area during the summer, we decided to pop in. They had a great selection of candy on the wall so I was planning on grabbing a couple of those and then also getting ice cream. 2 things give 0 stars for me - (1) my husband has celiac and when he asked what flavors were gluten free, the person behind the counter had no idea and said she had to check the label because they don't have a list (she lifted the container out of the freezer to read the ingredients - so clearly they don't make their ice cream in house and they don't care about allergies enough) and (2) they don't let you taste samples - when I asked if this was because of Covid the person said no and said it was a store policy, when I asked if there was a manager we could talk to, she said he wasn't working that night, and when I asked if there was anyone else that would help us she said no -- talk about RUDE. Also has anyone been to an ice cream shop that doesn't allow samples before? Because I haven't and that's the whole point of samples so I know what flavor I will like. Will never return and urge you to avoid as well

Romina R.

Yelp
The ice cream here just is not good at all. We got three flavors and they were all so bland and almost frost bitten really didn't taste like anything. The cone also had no flavor. To top it off it is overpriced. If you want ice cream look elsewhere there are other better places nearby ... this place should step up its game!
google avatar

Jenny K.

Yelp
Fudge Good - Service Bad. If you don't like being behind a counter move on and do something else, as you risk customers not returning I didn't mind the price but I won't pay for verbal abuse
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
Dan is always super helpful. I've never had a bad experience. Good ice cream, good candies, and fudge. I have been going for years and will continue to go.
google avatar

Madeleine B.

Yelp
Good service but overpriced for average or below par ice cream. I spent 9.95 on a cone with 2 scoops which I think is insane.
google avatar

Brooke G.

Yelp
What is it with dessert? Every time I come out here it's another catastrophe. This time it's Stale Pretzels!! Wow! Now I know why this place only gets 2.5 stars. In town the Memorial Day weekend trying to enjoy my dessert. Not gonna happen stuck eating stale pretzels. Now it makes sense because last time I was there I saw them taking the chocolate covered marshmallows straight out of a store bought box!!

Reed L.

Yelp
The Fudge Co is a very popular spot in town. We tried the Chocolate Brownie Batter ice cream -- it was rich and delicious!

Yelp
The guy in here was so obnoxious to me when I asked about the fudge and when it was last made... and after eating it I can assume why.... he must be close to going out of business due to the poor quality of the fudge. He said he'd been around for 30 years, but I'm scratching my head as to how. The fudge was so bad we had to immediately throw it out after the first bite - how can you sell this? I know good fudge (again, being a true new englander I've grown up with impeccable tasting fudge). So so horrible. If they can't do good fudge, they shouldn't sell it at all. Such a huge letdown.

Yelp
I was looking for saltwater taffy all around the South Fork with very little success. I got here and was able to get some for about $10. Many of the reviews here say that the place is too expensive, but they do have to meet their rent somehow. The $10 I paid for the taffy was also about $7 cheaper than what I had paid in the Boston area last year (surprising). I also got some Fudge and Sugar Daddies, mostly because I am having trouble letting go of my youth. They were pretty good, but I do think that the chocolate was a bit expensive. For those thinking this is your only option for candy in the Downtown area, there's actually a candy store around the corner (that I have not seen on Yelp), which sells mostly the same stuff.

Yelp
A small tiny place selling sweets in the ritzy South Hamptons. No wonder their prices are a bit pinching! Usually crowded with people, this place has a range of fudges, ice creams, chocolates and yogurts. I had a small scoop of Choco chip salted frozen yogurt which came at a whopping price of $6.
google avatar

Dale M.

Yelp
Stopped in for some ice cream. We had a grand total 6 scoops, 1 waffle cone, and a bottle of water. It was $38, which surprised me. They rang it up correctly - I guess I should have paid more attention! Anyways, the ice cream was fine but not unbelievable given the unbelievable price.

Yelp
Great except 1 thing. I love white chocolate breakup. Ita basically bricked white chocolate which is sold by the pound and they said they had it.. But only had remelted cheap white chocolate riddled with almonds. No other choice.they have milk and dark chocolate breakup i asked if they would order white for me as i would go for 1/2 -1 lb a week for me my gf and family but they woulsnt even consider carrying it for me. #never #going #back except if grandma wants a white frozen yogart pretzel or a small soft serve frozen yogart. #anything #for #grandma

Hannah C.

Yelp
TERRIBLE service and all the guys working knew it was bad too. Below average ice cream that is pretty overpriced.

Olivia J.

Yelp
This store has great candy, fudge, ice cream, cookies and chocolate. The employees are always very helpful.
google avatar

Diane P.

Yelp
If $6 seems fair for a single scoop of average ice-cream, this is the place for you. We were the only customers at 10 PM and STILL had to wait for the third teenager behind the counter to acknowledge us. And they had the gall to put out a tip jar.

Yelp
I'm going to go ahead and give this place 5 stars. The negative comments below are BS. I love coming to this place every time I'm in town. I love their candy selection as well as their ice cream. :-)

Beck S.

Yelp
this place is incredible! the staff are (for the most part) friendly and welcoming! the ice cream is pricey but you get what you pay for! i love this place and will definitely come back!

Yelp
DO NOT EAT FROZEN YOGURT HERE. AVOID HONEY HILLS FARMS. My mom and I were taken advantage of by the shop owner. We asked the owner for the ingredients of the frozen yogurt as we are very sensitive and health-conscious to corn syrup, GMOs, etc. He replied there's nothing bad in it; we buy it from Honey Hills Farms. We believed his authenticity as why would he lie ?? So we bought vanilla and chocolate swirl and left. Little did we know our gut instinct told us something was fishy so we googled the company. Not only does this frozen yogurt have corn syrup, carrageenan, but it has polysorbate 80!! We immediately threw out the yogurt only to regret that decision moments later as we should have brought it back in and got our $6 back! Yes $6 for a small yogurt!!!!! The shop is a rip off too! And one more thing to mention, the vanilla tasted like the peanut butter flavor but the owner blamed us for eating something PB prior which we didn't!!! If there frozen yogurt has horrible ingredients, I wonder what their ice cream and candy has in it....

H T.

Yelp
Below average and overpriced. The line is always out the door bc people want sweets and there is no where else to go. I did feel my fudge was not fresh. also 2 dollars for sweet tarts ? over priced.

Alexa B.

Yelp
Amazing homemade fudge, chocolate covered, well, most things and well priced for what you get, if you are a fan of fudge, chocolate or homemade type candies this is where you need to go! The service is great and they are open late as we went in at almost 10:00pm and it finished off the day perfectly! YUM!!!
