The location is a bit secluded n not easily accessible but within reasonable distance thru cab ride or hotel shuttle from Ocean Park. It is a pretty site and good get away spot from the bustling part of town. Positive - the hotel room has good sea view and has a quite serene setting. The inroom facilities are reasonably up to standard, but nothing too special (prob fitting to make 5 star, but not a higher end 5 star), certainly less well attended than the Fullerton Singapore which I used to visit from time to time for my business travels. The hotel facility and service, though under a 5 star brand, does fall short...Examples, 1. the gym is not open 24 hours - even without on duty staff, they only open from around 7 or 730 am in the morning .... this is frankly quite below par for a 5 star hotel/resort, 2. the swimming pool likewise close between 11 am - 12 pm for cleaning; that's quite unheard of ... it is not an onsen establishment or something uniquely special that they can not do cleaning after pool close up time. 3. services at the restaurants are average to weak, perhaps a reflection of deteriorating service quality in Hong Kong hotels. The captain and staff at the Jade Restaurant, very poltie etc, were not too up to speed - and we had to ask for tea/hot water refills multiple times throughout a 2 hour dinner. 4. the offerings at the buffet breakfast was also quite narrow - comparing against a recent visit to the W Macau, the offering at Fullerton paled in comparison. 5. the pricing of the breakfast buffet was also puzzling, our room included bkfast for 2 and we purchased at checkin a child bkfast for our 6 year old for $179. (a) at the W Macau and other 5 star level Marriott Group hotels, 6 year and under are free. (b) more puzzling matter is my friends (we have 4 rooms booked separately) who purchased their adult bkfast also was charged the same cost - meaning that they charged a 6 year old the same as an adult for the bkfast buffet - which I think is quite a rip off.
