"One stop shop for great retail, one of Sydney's best food courts including boutique Sydney based clothing such as Incu and Alphaville along with some global giants Muji and Wagamamas. Google
I really love The Galeries, and it is a place I visit often. It has so many great tasting restaurants and eateries as well as a range of different shops. I find it not only a great place to meet friends but also to explore on my own. Despite how busy it can be, the centre is very clean and well managed.

Fantastic foodie destination with a great selection in the food courts. Gram and Dulcet are worth a mention. The centre has at least one lift for those with mobility issues.

Google
The Galeries is a cozy shopping mall in the heart of Sydney CBD with some great brands. Also, it offers a great variety of cafes, chocolate shops, and decent restaurants. I love the layout of the mall and the internal design. Definitely a nice mall to visit close to Queen Victoria Building and quite cool to explore around.

I love here because of the book store “Book Kinokuniya”! It is amazing! Also the small cafe shop beside the checkout is awesome. Highly recommend to book lovers.

For the GRAM!!!! We had a group of 15 pax and we wanted the japanese pancake experience. But it was quickly killed by one of the staff member who looked like she really didn’t want to be there. She dropped our coffee with a bang on the table and stormed off. Orders were just dropped off and were all over the place. Staff faces where upside down. They looked so miserable in their jobs. We been to Japan and we had a wonderful family experience. But I suppose this is not Japan so expectations should be lowered. This left a bad taste in our mouths and hope thos doesn’t happen to anyone else. Specially people who have travelled a long way just to get this certain experience. Really bad. Rant over

Google
This mall is a great spot, especially for fans of Japanese culture. It features a variety of Japanese eateries, offering delicious options, and even has a Japanese bookstore for those looking to browse unique titles. In addition to the specialized stores, there are other retailers, making it a nice place to shop and spend time. Overall, it's a pleasant and diverse shopping experience.

Google
A very smart, stylish shopping destination which is always a cultural experience too. Over four levels of high quality international and local retailers. Also a range of services including cafes, restaurants, hairdressing, a dental clinic and optometry. The Galeries also has frequent art installations supporting cool emerging artists. Easy access to the Galeries from George Street, Pitt Street and well as underneath access into Town Hall Station.

Yelp
I was staying at a nearby hotel and came here after checking out of my room. I wanted to grab something to eat for lunch before heading out to the airport. Ultimately, I decided to eat at Yayoi, a Japanese restaurant up on floor 1. Since they didn't open until 11:30 am for lunch, I took the time to check out each floor to see what stores and restaurants were available. This was a modern looking shopping mall. There were a good variety of stores on each floor. There was a Fitness First gym and Kinokuniya bookstore up on floor 2. There was a nice food gallery with several different choices down in the lower ground level as well as an underground passage over to the Queen Victoria Building. This was a nice place to do a little window shopping, eat some food, or just to hang out with your friends.

Yelp
I went to The Galeries for Hotto Motto Bento box restaurant, Yayoi Japanese Restaurant, Ichibanboshi Japanese Restaurant, Muji, Kinokuniya and...... This place is so cool and so many nice shops are there. I cannot finish looking around all shops because of so many. That means I should keep coming to check it out! I like this shopping complex very much. However, I didn't see any map or information for the tenants. If there is a map or floor information, it must be very helpful and makes us much much easier to find new business. Good: very new, clean and noise level is not interrupted Room for improvement: floor information (I had little idea where I can find what)

Yelp
If you're heading to the city for shopping, stop by The Galeries. Linking up to the Queen Victoria Building, it's got an awesome range of shops including Incu, Nu + Nan and JB HiFi. Whether you're after skincare and make-up (The Body Shop, Mecca), food (Ichiban Boshi, Arthouse Hotel), clothes (Alphaville, Mooks), books (Kinokuniya) or knick-knacks (Via Alley), The Galeries delivers. It often has some great exhibitions on too, such as the recent Where & What photography exhibition and Curvy live art battles.

Yelp
So I'm from Minnesota living in Sydney for a year with my boyfriend (who works for a software company.) We frequent the Carhartt in Darlinghurst and love the service and have bought multiple pairs of jeans for him from there (he loves the Klondike!) Today we went to the Town Hall and the associates there barely noticed us walk in (maybe two other customers shopping) and until I ASKED for service he barely helped with color and style selection and after the jeans that the sales associate recommended didn't fit he said 'well have a good day' and walked away. WE CAME TO SPEND MONEY. So we will go to Darlignhurst from here on out.

Yelp
The Galeries is located across George Street from another of Sydney's impressive shopping area, the Queen Victoria Buildings. Luckily, these two shopping centres are chalk and cheese - The Galeries is most definitely the cooler cousin of The Queen Victoria Building. An open-air set up gives you the sense that you're not actually in a shopping centre, which I love - for me, going to the mall is its own special kind of hell. There's also a range of cool and quirky shops there that are geared to provide the twenty-something set with a bangin' outfit for the weekend. In fact, anyone who doesn't identify with that demographic will probably have a hard time finding a shop that they'd enjoy perusing at TGV - Superdry and Kookai just aren't for the same set that shops across the road at Burberry.. Having said that, the wonderful Mecca Cosmetics provides high-quality makeup for most everyone.. There is also a great coffee shop, a cool bookstore and basically anything that anyone who's ever even slightly identified with the hipster movement could ever dream of. If that's you, then run, don't walk, to The Galeries
