The Galileo Open Air Cinema, Kirstenbosch (Weekdays)

I had an amazing time at the Galileo Open air cinema. It was really lovely and vibrant. You get discounts if you’re a student/if it’s your birthday as well. They sell all sorts of snacks/food as well as all sorts of drink. You’re given a backseat as a well a blanket included in your ticket. Great place for a date. I really enjoyed this and I will definitely do it again.

Highly recommend anyone to experience watching a movie outside. The crew is absolutely helpfully and friendly. The food stalls are don’t overprice their products and I believe they are reasonable prices. The Talladega Grill food was pretty decent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The seats were comfortable and the space between each group was great. I didn’t feel like I was sitting on top of anyone. Even though it was fully sold out on Christmas eve. The weather was perfect and we didn’t need the blankets the entire time. You definitely should arrive early if you want a decent seat. I cannot wait to go again.

We watched a movie yesterday to the Galileo Open Air Cinema, Kirstenbosch, atmosphere was fantastic and the blankets n chairs, popcorn 🍿 n soft drinks for the vips were adding to the convenience. We were lucky wasn’t windy, but in general you need to dress warm. The movie 🎥 weren’t the best though, n probably that’s why it wasn’t that crowded. Recommend it!

We enjoyed our free birthday tickets with a wonderful and fun experience at the Galileo Open Air Theatre in Kirstenbosch Gardens. Good food, good movie and the best company - see you again soon!

It was absolutely beautiful! The staff were super friendly, there was a good variety of food and snacks to choose from and the movie overall was just great!

This was my first experience at the open air cinema. Kirstenbosch is such a beautiful setting. The "Men in Black" aka the Crew were amazing. Such a friendly, helpful team who really made everyone feel so welcome. Great job guys! Definitely recommend the experience to everyone.

Movies under the stars with a beautiful backdrop of the cape mountains.. well organized with the most friendliest staff. Would recommend getting the tickets with a backrest, and you get a free ticket if it’s your birthday month ☺️

A wonderful experience. I enjoyed being surrounded by nature whilst watching a movie on a giant screen. The sound quality was phenomenal. I loved the feeling of connected-ness that came from everyone reacting and laughing together at the different scenes in the movie. :)
