We had a beautiful evening at The Gallery last night! The thought, care, and love that had clearly gone into the evening were evident throughout. Hearing the stories behind the dishes - from their histories to personal anecdotes from Chris and the Chef - felt so generous, and I took so much away from everything I heard. The food was absolutely incredible - a feast for the senses! We felt very lucky to experience it and enjoy the Chef’s talents. I particularly loved how much the evening celebrated Thai food, culture, and history, while also highlighting the importance of protecting, treasuring, and nurturing regional delicacies, traditions, and ways of living. If you have the chance to go to The Gallery, you must! Huge thanks to Chris, the Chef, and the whole family 🩷

We felt like we came to visit someone’s home. The owners Chris and his wife (who was also the chef) welcomed us with open arms and impressive presentation skills that made our experience very special. The background behind every product used in every dish was the cherry on top that I always miss in restaurants like this. It’s not just the explosion of flavours you feel in your mouth, it’s also the meaning behind all of them you get to discover while having the 10-course dinner. Wonderful way to get to know authentic Thai cuisine! I am only taking one star away because the music was a bit too loud and too Ibiza-lounge vibes for a place like this. I was aware that music is curated thoughtfully by the owner and am writing this with respect and understanding. But as they say in my language - you don’t argue about music tastes. We did enjoy the Thai song during the desert though. When we’re back at Koh Tao, I’d love to visit the Gallery again. P.S. you have the most charming dog!

The "Journey through Thailand" concept is a fantastic touch to the evening. The stories provided about the ingredients and their historical origins are truly amazing and add significant depth to the dining experience. Chef Bu’s food is unquestionably high-quality—refined, traditional, and the clear highlight of the night. However, for a premium price range, the venue itself is quite disappointing. The atmosphere felt very uninspiring and had a flat vibe that didn't match the mastery shown in the kitchen. Instead of the "gallery" setting, which felt a bit disconnected, an authentic Thai atmosphere with natural furniture and a more organic, traditional feel would have much better complemented the quality of the cooking. A note for those who like authentic heat: the food was not spicy at all. While the flavors are great, it felt like the spice was toned down significantly, which might disappoint those looking for that true Southern Thai kick. Summary: Go for the culinary education and Chef Bu's skill, but the environment and vibe don't quite justify the cost for those seeking a truly immersive atmosphere.

We had a lovely time coming here with Chris as the curator of the evening and his wife as chef for the 10-course dinner ‘Trust the Chef’. The desert was enjoyed in a very cosy setting after a power outage took out the full Koh Tao island. Service goes above and beyond and their son was kind enough to order us a taxi to go back to our resort after a wonderful evening. Only come here if you have read all their instructions and be aware of the hefty but defensible price !

Highly recommended and one of the best dinners we have ever had. The Gallery is located in the mountains of Koh Tao with a breathtaking view of the sea and the sunset. We were there on Christmas Eve for the 10-course menu and every single course was simply heavenly. Inspired by the different regions of Thailand, Chris' explanations teach you a lot about Thai cuisine. The service is excellent and everything is thoughtfully planned down to the smallest detail from start to finish. At the end, the chef talks to each guest and answers questions. We had the best time and would like to thank the whole team for this unforgettable evening.
