Burgers were so good! Dirty Fries were so good... You might want to share as portion was BIG! Friendly, quick service. Great atmosphere. FULLY recommend!!

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for a roast after hearing a good recommendation from my friend who lives locally. The inside was colourful with a unique decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was that we ordered and it took a lengthy time for the food to arrive. However, the food was worth the wait as the generous portions were all delicious and cooked beautifully. The roast beef was one of the best I've ever had!

Came here as it listed as one of the 11 best roast dinners in Bristol according to the Best of Bristol list and I have to say everything except the beef was amazing. I like my roast beef a bit pink but this was pretty much rare which was hard to cut and chew. The cauliflower cheese was amazing and all the veg, needed more potatoes though ! Quirky decor like everything I've been in that area and very friendly staff. Marking down one star because of the beef and it is very pricey but definitely worth a try.

Great events, music is always groovy! First time having the Sunday roast today; a HEARTY portion. Expensive but delivers. Slow roasted Lamb was excellent. Gravy, full of oomph. Staff were lovely. My company thought the service was slow which was probably why the vegetables (red cabbage, two carrots and three peas) and potatoes weren’t singing songs of flavour. The potatoes lacked the fluffiness I’m after in the perfect ‘Tater. A cauliflower cheese is our litmus test for a good roast and so far, the best we’ve had in Bristol. Would go again

The roast dinner experience was not satisfactory. The pork belly served was a small slice, and the roast lamb was presented as shredded meat rather than the expected slices. This may indicate a focus on cost-cutting in food preparation. It's important to note that the food is provided by a pop-up caterer. On a positive note, the service from the Gallimaufry staff was commendable. Based on this experience, it may be wise to reconsider choosing this venue for a roast dinner.

A very rude encounter with the staff - after being at the Galli for hours and spending over £100 on drinks, a staff member literally shushed us as there was a ‘quiet’ gig happening downstairs. We found this incredibly rude - we were not informed of the gig occurring and the way the staff member addressed us made us feel like naughty school children; “if you don’t like it you can leave”. Such a shame as this was my favourite pub, but this has definitely made me not want to return.

The staff were friendly and it’s a beautiful pub but the food was very disappointing we ordered a Korean hot dog which only had about 3cm of hot dog in it and was covered in sugar. We then ordered the kimchi which came warm and flavourless along with that the Korean fried chicken was closer to sugar fried chicken as it was chicken in a sugar sauce.

Great roasts for a 60th birthday meal. Everyone loved their meals. Gluten and dairy allergy requirements were handled really well. Members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice coffee too.

Yelp
Been here twice now for drinks, food and music. It's such a great bar. The menu is really mixed with great veggie and vegan options. Some of the best food I've had in Bristol! And they generally have amazing choice of love music on.

Yelp
Wow! This place does fabulous tapas. It's not really tapas but more like a selection of modern European tasting menu items. Each dish came presented as if it were a miniature main course. I apologise for my unflattering flash photos! There were four of us and we each ordered one of each a vegetarian, fish and meat dish. This is definitely a place to bring friends to sample all the dishes! All the food was perfectly cooked and came out when each dish was ready (like tapas). The fish dishes were particularly good! The mushrooms with tomato, parsley and garlic, lamb breast and the inflect steak came out top! My only complaint is that they weren't piping hot. The restaurant is nestled on a mezzanine level above the bar so it didn't get a little bit noisy but there was a great atmosphere. I would suggest booking early!

Yelp
Gallimaufry means: a confused jumble or medley of things. And that's exactly what you'll find here, but in a good way! The Gallimaufry is one of the better places to eat and drink on Gloucester Road. During the day you'll find a lovely brunch menu with sandwiches, soups and few eggy dishes. But the best thing on the menu is the 'Galli hangover cure': mackerel, chorizo, potato, peppers, bread & baked egg - which does exactly what it says on the tin! What I love about 'The Galli' is the quirky decor. Without it wouldn't live up to it's name, but they've done it really well. Behind the bar they have some REALLY odd clocks made from old baby dolls! They're quite scary, but pretty cool! During the evening, particular in the summer, the outside seating on the promenade is an awesome place to be. Lots of people, a really good buzz and nice seating to be able to watch the world go by. I love it! The Galli has a lot of competition, but they do well, and it's easy to see why - It's great!

Yelp
Great for a beer and even better for the music! Sit inside or out on a Thursday night and be blown away by the epic jazz skills of James Morton. There's heat lamps for the winter, ample space inside and out - yes it gets busy but that's all part of the atmosphere!! Definitely give it a go, even if you're more Clifton it really doesn't matter. Just don't turn up in a suit...

Yelp
Delicious food, very good service in a very relaxed environment. We had the three Galli plates for £12, including rainbow chard, polenta, yoghurt & avocado plate, the heritage carrot, feta, honey & oats plate and the pork belly, celeriac, apple & sage plate. The best plate we had was the parmesan gnocchi, violet artichokes & wild garlic. Definitely be back!
