Very welcoming ambiance—peaceful, cozy, and with a touch of class. The breakfast was average, which is fairly typical for such hotels in the U.S., but the coffee stood out and was truly excellent. Service was top-notch; the staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. That said, I might not choose to eat here again mainly due to the limited menu and the overall taste of the food.

Stopped in for lunch. The atmosphere and staff were what you would expect from the four seasons, top notch. The food on the other hand was, I'll say slightly above average, and that's me being polite. I'm likely biased as a result of frequenting Ravello's restaurant in the Four Seasons Orlando. If you haven't eaten there, you need to fly into Orlando immediately and do so. Seriously. In New York We sampled a Winter Salad, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Polpette della Nonna, and Fussili alla Bolognese. To be fair the Polpette della Nonna was quite good. As a side note the non-alcoholic Opzione Zero Spritz was amazing.

It’s pricey here but we really enjoyed our breakfast and a bit of calm from the city for an hour. Staff we so good, really attentive and friendly. We weren’t staying at the hotel so had a bit of imposter syndrome however we weren’t staying treated really well.

Google
It’s a nice hotel lobby restaurant with good service. We ordered pastas for a brunch and they were both delicious (tomato basil and seafood). But I would say the pre-meal bread was too cold and dry, I hope they improve it.

As a new resident, finding The Garden was a highlight. The food quality and dining atmosphere were excellent. Their personnel were receptive to changes and delivered quality attention. Their food options were presented directly. I'm eager to try more from their menu.

Absolutely top notch service! The staff is incredibly attentive and the food was outstanding.

Gratuity added for a party of three, a comment about a lemonade refill being “on the house,” and a suspiciously high lunch bill. Our experience at The Garden could have ruined one of the few days my family had together in NYC this spring. We had planned to run a quick errand in the area, but an unexpected delay led us to look for a place to have lunch. After reviewing menus, we decided on The Garden. The experience was the worst we have had in the city. Our server was condescending and unkind - when my daughter declined a lemonade refill, he said, “Are you sure? It’s on the house,” before informing us that gratuity had been added to our bill. We ordered about $100 worth of food, two iced teas, and a lemonade, yet our bill came out to over $200. My husband chose not to bring it up with management, not wanting to make our teenage daughter feel uncomfortable. I rarely write reviews, but after seeing that another party recently had a similar experience, I felt compelled to share. Overall, the food was good but nothing special, the service was abysmal, and the charges on my credit card were questionable. You can find a better place to eat on Park Avenue.

Google
The food at The Garden was excellent—well-prepared and flavorful. However, the overall experience was marred by an issue with the bill. Our party of five was surprised to see a gratuity already added to the check, which is typically reserved for larger groups. When I questioned this, the server initially denied the added gratuity, claiming it was only applied to parties of 6 or more. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the guest count on the check was marked as 10, even though we were clearly just five people. The server then admitted this was a mistake made by their colleague. This situation felt dishonest, leaving me with the impression that we were being taken advantage of and the servers were trying to get double tipped. While I understand mistakes happen, transparency and trust are crucial when dining out—especially at such an expensive restaurant. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth despite the quality of the food. Management did not offer an apology. And the fire department was testing the alarm system during our dining. I feel we should have been notified of that before sitting down. A constant loud piercing sound every few minutes.

Yelp
This local spot serves dishes that rival downtown places. There was enough food to divide satisfyingly. Though not spacious, this spot remains in demand. Employees showed notable customer care. This spot delivered an excellent experience.

Yelp
I want to like this place for special occasions but it's really just ok. I find it a bit dark inside even with the big windows on one end. Service is really nice though. The main issue is the food. It's well prepared and all but just very standard. Like, normal, pretty good food, served in a fancy way, in small portions at exorbitant prices. Case in point, our last visit on Easter. Spent a cool grand for a family of four, which included one child price (and tip). The food was fine and the experience was kinda fun. Dessert buffet had some good, not great, things. Easter egg hunt was cute. The ambiance was muted the whole time with the restaurant never being full so it didn't feel that festive. It always feels that way there. Just a little bit... lame.

Yelp
This is the breakfast area and restaurant for the Four Seasons hotel on 5th Ave in downtown Manhattan. It's a neat concept and I like the decor and style - the large fake lighted trees and classy casual seating and tables are nice. We had breakfast here all three days we stayed at this hotel. The menu is good and has a range of items. The first day I chose the Chèvre cream stuffed french toast stack with fresh berries and it's decadent and delicious. Very large size for breakfast, beautifully plated, and very filling. The next day I chose the egg white omelette with asparagus, spinach and broccoli. It's plain and devoid of flavor. The side of breakfast potatoes was perfectly cooked and delicious. My friend that day chose the Benedict with Canadian bacon and the taste of that I had was amazing. Poor choice that day for me. The final day I wanted to try the muesli from the menu I saw in the room and they easily accommodated that request. A large bowl and portion with a ton of blueberries but rather disappointing. I compare it to muesli I had at the FS in Maui and nothing will ever likely compare to that stuff. Prices are astronomical here. It's Four Seasons so to be expected. But a coffee, hot tea, latte and a small glass of milk cost $49 and none of that included any food. I understand high prices at fancy places but that type of gouging on prices left a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. Service was mostly good, but a bit more pretentious than I usually find at FS properties. Our final day the server was very friendly and even gave us complementary danishes. I mean, really I bought tons of them but that was something at least. Fun for a splurge or Sunday brunch - but be prepared on the drink costs and it wasn't even alcohol!

Yelp
This restaurant is truly a gorgeous garden. I'm bias to restaurants with a nature vibe but I mean they're so beautiful right!! I had the wagyu beef for lunch and WOW! Amazing quality, so soft /easy to cut and paired with the sauce.. It was a dream come true.

Yelp
I had lunch w/ a client in the Four Seasons before heading to JFK. I would have liked to have gone elsewhere, but we wrapped up a larger group mtg, and I didn't want to bring my luggage w/ me. The Garden offers all day dining as well as tea & coffee between meals. I ordered the octopus ($28), while my client ordered the nicoise salad ($44). He also ordered an iced tea ($12). We both received complimentary, warm onion focaccia bread while we waited. First of all, the bread was excellent. It was warm and contained a lot of onions. I would have had more, but I didn't want to be a pig in front of my client: 5 Stars. Secondarily, my octopus was very good. It was tender and not overcooked like Water Grill in SC Plaza. The only downside was the price: 4 Stars. Likewise, my client enjoyed his salad. Although the portion looks small, there was a lot of high-end cannned tuna in the salad. The waiter informed us that an original nicoise uses high-end canned tuna, that in this case costs $52/can. American recipes call for grilled ahi, thus giving most of us an Americanized version. My client actually became full on the salad. Again the only downside was the really high price: 4 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, its your basic casual dining restaurant in a hotel: 3 Stars. However, what sets the Garden apart is the overall "Four Seasons" excellent service. For example, the hostess checked my luggage so we could have more room. In addition, Milton our waiter was super nice & attentive. We struck up a convo about Hawai'i, and how much he enjoys Maui. Lastly, the Mgr was very polite, and allowed me to pass as we met in an aisle: Imagine that, giving a client the right of way!: 5 Stars. Yes, the Garden is pricey. Nonetheless, I would have no qualms about having a power coffee mtg as others were, or having a power lunch if I didn't want to cart my luggage around Manhattan. The excellent service more than makes up for the high prices.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast! Inside the Four Seasons Hotel- The Garden is a quiet and elegant little escape with great food as service. Ambiance: True to its name "The Garden" - welcomes you to an indoor garden(ish) vibe in middle of a busy city. Comfortable seating and peaceful decor. It's an elegant place where business men/ ladies meet for lunch. { FYI dress accordingly} Food: On Point! We kept it simple for breakfast: * Belgian Waffles with fresh berries and a delicious home made whip cream, high quality WARMED maple syrup! * Parfait with home made granola and fresh berries * Soft boiled egg (5min) Perfect! * Coffeeee fantastic! Smooth, decadent blend! Side note: (they even give you warm milk for the coffee which is the PROPER way to serve coffee! Why other restaurants don't get the fact that cold creamer or milk ends up making your coffee cold- I don't understand- common sense people!) Service: 5 stars! Pleasant, elegant, attentive.

Yelp
The Garden is a lobby dining area in the Four Seasons hotel in Manhattan. The design resembles much of an outdoor garden, but all the decorations and furniture around us seemed dusty and old. It was a bit weird to have lunch while viewing guest checking-in and people loitering at the hotel. The food was mediocre and a bit disappointing for a Four Seasons restaurant. The waitress was nice, but had trouble processing our payment at that moment so she took down our credit card information on a piece of notepaper. We realized that our credit card information was stolen a few days after this incident. We didn't even use the credit card anywhere else after that day, so we had a reason to believe that the waitress may have stolen our card info.

Yelp
The Four Seasons is first class and The Garden is no different. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast every morning during our weekend stay. Ask for MILTON on your next visit. He gave us a ton of helpful advice about NYC.

Yelp
You wouldn't think that a hotel lobby restaurant could be almost Zen-like or feel like an oasis of tranquility in busy midtown. But, that's exactly what what you experience when dining at the Garden Restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel. Overlooking a lobby that looks like a grand Hollywood movie set, you sit under towering African Acacia trees as the sun streams in through huge south-facing windows. Even if you don't come here to eat, it's worth coming just to see it. Other reasons to come here: 1. Service is consistently professional 2. The cocktails are delicious 3. The food is delicious as well, and beautifully presented 4. You're never rushed

Yelp
Came here for brunch. Delicious food but ambiance is more touristy. Unlimited coffee. Chicken and waffles: get this; it's delicious Burrata: very good especially with the raisins

Yelp
Very elegant ambience and nice decor with the indoor trees. I love that they serve La Colombe draft latte coffee. However, the food was average. Nothing special and for $160 for only two people at brunch is ridiculous. I want my palate blown away at that price. Instead I found myself not even finishing my Benedict. The burger came rare... think the heart was still beating. Nothing to rush back for.

Yelp
I'll begin by saying that this resto is on the pricey side. It is located in the Four Seasons after all. BUT what you get in service and food quality makes it worth it in my opinion. The restaurant is beautiful -- a mini oasis in Manhattan. And they take brunch resos!! Their Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are a must (have them with a mimosa). I'm not a huge egg fan but my friend LOVED the Lobster Hash (Soft Egg, Choron Sauce). If you're a fan of tartare, order the Organic Salmon Tartare - it will not disappoint. It's a perfectly balanced dish in both flavour and texture. The salmon is exquisite and elevated by a light avocado mousse. The ginger apples and roe provide a nice crunch. Room for dessert? Get the Grapefruit Panna Cotta. Topped pistachios and a thin disc of white chocolate, it's light, refreshing and not-to-sweet.

Yelp
The "restaurant" here at the Four Seasons Hotel is actually called the Garden. This is not to be confused with the Four Seasons Restaurant on 52nd Street! The only downside I can think of here is the price-- and it's exorbitant-- for example, brunch for two can run over $130 all told. The upside is nearly everything is daggone good. The everyman's (and restaurant's) dish of eggs benedict was split for us to allow for Canadian bacon and smoked salmon, and contained eggs that were the picture of perfection-- just the right degree of doneness. The spicy pumpkin soup (which does contain cream) was divine and cut through the chill of the first day of December. The French toast stuffed with smashed blueberries and topped with "nutella butter" that contained fragments of hazelnuts served as the ultimate dessert. An expense account will minimize your gut wrenching at the prices of a mimosa ($23) and a freshly squeezed OJ ($15), but in our case coffee was complimentary. The only misstep was oranges used in or age of the OJ, as I can make better with oranges from plain old Key Foods at home. The international staff provided attentiveness and with a smile. The atmosphere is just cozy enough to not feel sterile. The real tree-trunks that spring up from the floor are just interesting enough to distract you from the fake leaves that dot them. Come here for a treat, on someone else's dime, or don't come at all!

Yelp
This place is beautiful its in the four seasons hotel and no you do not have to be a guest to dine. Ambiance was very quiet and laid back. Of course it's pricey but keep in mind the location would not expect less. All of the staff works together we must have been greeted or catered to by every staff member we saw when we walked in. I must note they were not pushy or annoying. The food was delicious I had the stuffed French toast it may look sweet but trust me it's not. its drizzled with fruit sauce not chocolate as it may look like chocolate in the picture. I don't eat eggs but we're told the eggs benedict was delicious. The Bloody Mary was very tasty as well. I would definitely return to this place.

Yelp
Milton is an absolute gem! He elevates a great experience to perfection. The park avenue breakfast is great for the health conscious guest. I saw some beautiful French toast being served which I will try next time.

Yelp
The service was (almost too) good here, our waiter stayed right by us and stared until we moved like we needed help. I enjoyed my food as well although It was very pricey, even for NYC. I would probably not eat here again because of It but It was a good experience!
google avatar

Morgan B.

Yelp
Came here for a work lunch and it was a really exceptional experience. The restaurant has a quiet demeanor, but is a buzz with movers, shakers and old school New Yorkers enjoying a break from the hustle and bustle outside. The environment is relaxed and really beautiful. Service was on point. The tuna Nicoise salad was delicious with garden fresh vegetables - divine! Also, the chocolate panna cotta was a yummy treat. Pricey - but as to be expected. Would return!

Yelp
Despite having eaten in some of the finest culinary establishments in New York, I had yet to come across $30 breakfast options. And ones that contained absolutely no unicorn meat. My colleagues ordered a bread basket and I got an oatmeal. Some people had coffee. Breakfast was $115. I'm fine with overcharging for luxury, but the service wasn't good, let alone Four Seasons good. Our waiter, Hervé Villechaize, completely ignored us, and we had to ask for water four times. My oatmeal was alright and I'm sure the food here has potential, but fine dining prices for bad service don't cut it. On the plus side, the bathrooms are quite lovely.

Danielle F.

Yelp
Amazing service, great vibes. Ask for Luis and he gotchu! Definitely 10 out of 10 recommendation :)
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
Really cute spot, friendly and professional servers, good food. However, I do not believe it the quality of the food to match the price.
google avatar

Oksana P.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch places. The kitchen closes early, I try to go around 1:30 to avoid "noon brunch rush" that way if there are two of you, you can ask for bigger table. Very nice atmosphere and prices are reasonable. I think many people go to places like that and expect to pay chipotle price but it's not how it works on this planet :) Ask to split eggs Benedict to half bacon half salmon, when you are not sure ( that's my favorite meal on their menu). I ate here probably at least 10 times, never had to wait even a minute. The waitress with short dark hair is awesome (I'm bad with names ) . Not a fan of their lobster omelette but if you are at 4 seasons in Boston definitely get it. Great place to take your friend for birthday brunch; we got this huge piece of cake when I took my friend for her bday.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
Just a word of caution to those thinking of dining here on a holiday, check the prices before making a reservation. The food is great but the only thing worse than paying $140 per person for crab Benedict is paying $65 for your child to have chicken fingers. Oh, and they don't even give you a complimentary mimosa for that $140. All that said, the food was really good but the prices were offensive.

Richard Z.

Yelp
I recently took a friend to lunch at The Garden, and had such a terrible experience. I never write negative reviews, but felt everyone should be made aware of this restaurant. Here's the email i sent them and received no response... Be forewarned! I am a regular at Fred's, I decided to give you a try since I work a half a block away, so I took one of my friends to lunch. As you can see by the bill, the iced tea was $13 per glass for a total of $26 and $13 per single shot of espresso for an additional $26....so my iced tea and coffee cost $52!! That is completely unacceptable. At Fred's, they are both $5, and iced tea refills are free. Your cobb salad is also $14 more than Fred's. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but you have really taken your prices to an unprecedented level. I won't be coming back, and feel completely taken advantage of.
google avatar

Yasaman S.

Yelp
My best friend and I came here for brunch. It was a nice experience and very classy (obviously) but nothing on the menu was special. My friend had the ricotta pancake and I had a fruit salad. I wish there more special items on the menu as its the Four Seasons Hotel, and not so ordinary items. Our server was kind but the food took a but long to come. The only thing I really enjoyed was feeling like I was sitting in a garden. Would I come here? maybe maybe not.
google avatar

D K.

Yelp
Since we are staying at the hotel, for convince, we went down for breakfast. OMG, juice is $13, coffee which wasn't that good for $13, I decided to get $54 of park avenue breakfast so that those two drinks are included. Nothing special about two eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes. Spinach side salad was wilted. I have been to lot of hotel breakfast and with this price I was expecting breakfast buffet with big spread with lots of choices. My BF ordered soft boiled eggs and came out hard boiled. I'm going to different breakfast tomorrow for sure. They should either decreased the price or increase the quality.
google avatar

Kleber M.

Yelp
Good space, reminiscent in some sort of an African garden. Feels outdated that's 1 star off, plus nothing special in the menu nor justified for the price and that's the 2nd star off. Good place to relax if you're in the area, it's usually calm and good for all ages and parties. I'd definitely say it's pricey for what's on the menu and for the taste of things or presentation, maybe the location is to blame. It is at the ground level lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel. Staff are nice.

Aldana A.

Yelp
I came with my sister to try the brunch, we ordered beet salad and waffle with chicken and fries. Beet salad was dull and tasteless. The chicken waffle was not good at all. The waffle i would say tasted better than the chicken but after a few bites u really start to smell the eggs in the waffle. The plates all smelled like eggs. We could not finish the chicken and waffle we barely ate a bite. The fries was the saver of the meal. It was think and crisp and delicious. The place is ok, not impressive, i would not call it a garden. Its an open area in a hotel lobby with some trees.
google avatar

Karim A.

Yelp
Had a late breakfast there. French toast a glass of juice and a cappuccino. The service was great and the food was even better. The only problem was the price. My breakfast totaled to 65$. Not what one would expect to pay for breakfast. But all in all a pleasant experience.

Michael K.

Yelp
Overpriced and the staff pushes food/drinks on you "here have some OJ and pour it before you can say something". Staff aren't the most friendly, little too rigid Avoid, a million better options in NYC. But the lobby is nice. Poke your head in and look around.
google avatar

Erner L.

Yelp
Seriously every review I have read here is very wrong. I went to "The Garden" with my wife, the service was perfect, the food was amazing, and the decor was impeccable. We went for a small steak dinner and everything was perfect. Sure it's pricey, BUT YOU'RE IN NEW YORK CITY. If you want to splurge a little bit this place is perfect. I bought a steak and my wife got a salmon and everything came out to about $120. The service was so perfect and the food was amazing. Everyone was so polite and professional, the dinner was very quiet and very romantic. I wore a suit and my wife wore a beautiful dress and we had an amazing night.
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
One of the only places in NY where you can go for a business breakfast/lunch and actually hear each other talk, stay long enough to talk and have a nice conversation. Sort of pricey but a good place for power lunch.

hannah s.

Yelp
I had an outstanding celebration brunch here, and thought it was perfect to celebrate something special. If you go, ask for Milton to be your waiter. He was phenomenal and made everything feel celebratory and great :) Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great for quiet breakfast or drinks. One of the earliest reservations in midtown (6.30 am) Solid food, great ambience.

Yelp
Comfortable ambience , good service! Chicken waffle is very good actually! A great place for a quiet brunch or meal.

Yelp
I like this place for lunch. Plan ahead and use OpenTable to make a reservation - they are always busy. A beautiful setting. The service is attentive, professional and without the least amount of pretension. The food is good - some dependable salads, staples and plenty of other options that switch out regularly to cater to a variety of tastes. Had the Gotham Burger recently. Great concept, wonderful flavors, but impossible to eat as a burger. It's just stacked so high that the first "bite" becomes a literal explosion of ingredients all over the plate, rendering the "burger" useless and forcing you to continue your attack armed with knife, fork and plenty of napkins. Oh well...I still like this place for lunch.

Clare H.

Yelp
Had brunch there; food was pretty average. The most annoying part was making the reservation. Even though there is supposedly a dining reservation line, it appears that nobody was there to answer the phone no matter what time of the day I tried. Ended up having to call the concierge and ask them to get the dining reservation person. Also, they don't call you to confirm your reservation the day before like what other restaurants do, so I had to call the concierge again and request that they ask the dining reservation person to call me back to confirm. Don't know if I just happened to call during a bad week, or if they really don't want to bother with calls for reservations - if that's the case, they should just get rid of the dining reservation line, instruct everyone to use opentable, and be explicit that they don't want to take calls.

Annie M.

Yelp
It's nice. But not worth the high cost. We went for weekend brunch. Ordered alot of things to taste many menu items. Food was good but we were not wow'd. Service and ambience both as nice as expected at a Four Seasons property.
