Picked up an orchid as a gift for a real estate colleague. Mary made it look fabulous, I forgot to take a photo :( I did however choose a couple orchids to bring home! Beautiful store, lovely collection, I believe I’m addicted!!

This shop is just precious! Great selection of gifts, plants and pots! There is also a beautiful courtyard that you must check out while there. They also have fresh, locally-grown flowers for sale sometimes (based on seasonality). It is conveniently located near Biltmore in charming Biltmore Village.

I was planning my sons Rehearsal dinner in Asheville we are in Atlanta, GA. Libby the owner of The Gardener's Cottage was referred to me by Kara with TickTock Concierge. Libby made my vision a reality with the floral arrangements and table scapes. I spoke several times with Libby leading up to the event but never had a face to face meeting. I arrived to the venue sight unseen and was blown away with every single piece Libby and her team created for my daughter in-law and sons special evening. It was beyond a pleasure working with Libby she listened and heard what I was looking for and executed it flawlessly. Her creativity and designs are impeccable...Thank you so much for elevating the ambiance for the evening into the magical night it was.

Arrived home this afternoon to find an elegant and stunning bouquet of fresh white flowers and greenery at my door from The Gardener's Cottage! They are a birthday gift from my in-laws. It is the second time I've received flowers from this business; both times, the arrangements have been subtly unique and timelessly beautiful. So pleased!

Completely thrilled with the creativity, service, professionalism and caring from Kate and Caitlin at The Gardener's Cottage. You will not get your generic arrangement---but something really special. I selected this shop from my home in California and found their attentiveness as easy as dealing with someone down the street. If you are looking for a small business that aims to please you have found your florist at The Gardener's Cottage---you needn't look elsewhere.

I visit this store each time we have the opportunity to visit Asheville. This is one of my favorite spots to find unique souvenirs and gifts. It always smells amazing from their candles, it’s beautifully decorated on the outside with the flowers, plants and garden, and the staff is always so pleasant and helpful. They package my fragile items so carefully for the drive home. This is a must see when in or near Asheville.

Yes, sometimes this shop is busy - because it is a rare find! I feel lucky to have found this store shortly after I moved to AVL. TGC has some of the most beautiful gardening items and gifts. I've purchased their pottery mostly. It is exceptional! As for prices, I think they are fair. If you want cheap, throw-away items, no you won't find them here. But if you seek quality that lasts - combined with unparalleled beauty, you will be happy in this store.

BUYER BEWARE. $107 for THIS. Response to my dissatisfaction: "If you are not happy then we are not a good fit for your flower needs." Oh...and the enclosure card had wrong name.

Stopped in for some flowers for a gift. I had an excellent experience. I picked up a beautiful orchid and some candles. This is such a wonderful little shop with all kinds of amazing plants and gift ideas. Seasonal decore and so much more. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed and that my business was valued. Highly recommend.

I wanted to send an expensive ($200 not including the $15 delivery fee) orchid gift to my sister. I expected at least three or four orchids for this price and got two with denuded stem as an extra. Very disappointed to say the least. Caitlyn Represented herself as a creative and accomplished designer and I would NEVER have trusted her had I known she would take advantage of me in this way.

I worked with Kate and Caitlin on my order---calling them from Pacific Palisades, California. Oh, what service and personalized attention!!! I am a gardener and was very particular about what I wanted---mainly not some generic looking arrangement. Kate went to the trouble of sending me photos of containers and flowers and paid real attention to what would please me. They could not have been kinder, more professional, or more creative. If you are looking for a caring and unique florist you have found a great one in The Gardener's Cottage. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Beautiful quaint cottage filled with absolute delight. We splurged on new plant friends and we're served well at this establishment. Will definitely be back.

This place has beautiful things I frequent every time I'm in Asheville. The owner is a doll, she is so sweet knowledgeable helpful and is always dressed so cute (added bonus) She has beautiful plants. Delicate orchids, really nice planters and containers (flower pots) Pretty flowers for gifts or for your home. The store carries glassware, Juliska, she carries Lafco candles, nice books and garden accents for outside! I love this little place, I've been coming in for years and always leave with a treat to cozy up the house. Libby went over care instructions for my new plants today. Hopefully I can keep these 5 alive! She's great, the store is great, and the location is so convenient. She has a little parking lot out front and she's across from the grand bohemian right outside the entrance gate to the biltmore property. Stop in. You won't be disappointed. Sensory over load (in such a good way) the colors and textures and materials she has plants in. It's all displayed so beautifully. It's the nicest little garden store I've been in.

If you are in Asheville and you love plants and beautiful home decor then this is a must visit destination! The beautiful little shop is just overflowing with gorgeous ferns, greenery, high quality, handcrafted pots and various other things carefully selected with the plant lover in mind. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and attentive. The Gardener's Cottage has a wonderful cozy atmosphere and I will definitely be returning! Bonus points for being conveniently located almost right next door to the Biltmore entrance.

Precious but serious garden glamour! A treat for all of your senses whether you are a gardener or just enjoy the sensory part of nature. Just stop by, go out back, go inside and make chit chat with the staff. You will leave smiling.

I'm amazed this is only the second review.....we first visited this shop the first time we came to see the Biltmore and I was couldn't wait to visit again! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. (I also wouldn't mind moving in!) The people are so nice and helpful, gorgeous plants, floral arrangements, gifts,......I'd love to bring home everything. They are shipping several things back to CA for me :) I wish I could bring home the healthy, beautiful plants and flowers too! There's even outside garden garden items like bird baths, pots, etc. It's not huge but it's a real gem!
