The Gate Garden Hotel is a cosy place to stay in Berlin. Great location, very close to main attractions and access to multiple means of public transport. The common areas and rooms are spotless. There is a small garden guest can enjoy and relax. The breakfast buffet is not very big but it’s really good and offers variety of products. The coffee is great and you can even make your own waffles! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They gave us all details before our stay to make sure everything was in order prior our late arrival. Special thank you to Tami! As not so positive there might be a bit of noise from traffic if the room faces Invalidenstraße Overall great it was a great experience, and I would recommend 100%!!

We had a lovely time celebrating my mum’s birthday at the Gate Garden! The penthouse is absolutely amazing and very spacious (includes a terrace), we didn’t spend time in the garden but it looked beautiful. Good location, close to public transport. The breakfast is delicious as well! A special thank you to the staff who welcomed us and made our stay memorable (particularly the guy with the glasses and moustache, don’t know his name sorry!). All in all, everything was excellent! Would love to stay there again if I come back to Berlin

Faultless. This really is your home from home in Berlin! We stayed six nights while I ran the Berlin marathon. We really fell on our feet choosing The Gate Garden. It's very close (two blocks) to the S Line train to Nordbahnhof station and the tram (light rail) to the main railway station runs right by the hotel. The staff are absolutely superb, we were warmly greeted every time we came in or went out and nothing was too much trouble for them. We chose a garden room and it was really quiet, you wouldn't believe that you are in a bustling capital city. The gardens themselves are really well kept and we spent a couple of afternoons there reading our books with a cup of coffee. There's a little drinks station set up where you can grab tea and coffee, plus a well stocked fridge with beer and wine for sale. Make sure you introduce yourself to Maxi the cat! If you want to go out for breakfast there's a couple of nice places on the same block as the hotel. There's a ReWe supermarket a few blocks away so you can pick up snacks and essentials for the room. If we return to Berlin there's absolutely no doubt we'd stay here. Yes, there's no elevator so be sure to let them know in the reservation that you need a room with easy access and they will look after the details for you.

Lovely place (close to the wall memorial). Wide range of rooms and check you get what you want. Garden special. Lots stairs if on upper floor. Wide range decorations some antique and many reproductions. Orginal architecture is special and also tired. Glad I stayed there but if expect all neat and tidy everywhere not your place. If want charm and character yes for sure.

It’s a 10 min tram ride from the main train station and 3 min walk from S+ U bahns also. Super well located but quiet! And with an amazing inner garden. Plus the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. A huge plus for me is the rooms are always spotless.

We had a wonderful stay. Anton and Maria made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel was very close to the station and the tram with parking nearby too. There was so very good restaurants within walking distance. The garden setting was amazing so quiet and lovely to relax in. The rooms were very comfortable we could not believe how quiet it was for the centre Berlin. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

I love love love this hotel. Yes, there is no lift, no air conditioner and the breakfast buffet is limited (it is a small hotel after all) but what you get here is rarely found in big city hotels: expansive, landscaped garden, interesting design/architecture and a charming cat called Maxi. We stayed here five days and felt so calm (which is out of character 🫤). There is a self service coffee machine and a mini bar based on an honesty system. They also provide bread rolls and croissants all day, until they run out. This is small town hospitality in a global city; incredible😃.

Gate Garden Hotel, is a hidden little gem footsteps from the once Berlin Wall. Very convenient to reach from the Main train station either a straight line walk or the tram. Tran’s are EVERYWHERE in Germany, amazing!! We travelled 5 cities in Germany and this was our favourite stay! The rooms are super cozy. The first property in years of travel around the world that prioritizes hypoallergenic for its guests. Our room was on one of the higher floors with amazing high ceilings and even a small love seat which is so hard to get in most affordable hotels almost anywhere. An adorable coffee/tea station on the main floor available 24/7. This is an added bonus given that so many properties across Germany have started to scale back on free little offerings such as this that make a significant difference in an accommodation when you don’t necessarily have time to look for these in your area and hotels charging an unnecessary price for it. Noah was kind enough to greet us though we arrived late due to the train delays. It was so nice to have Noah actively contact us to ensure we were having a good journey enroute into Berlin and provided detailed information for our arrival. Anton was a gem to check in on us each time we went out and returned. Such a lovey team! The hospitality room staff equally friendly each time they saw us. If the weather was warmer, I recommend the garden rooms on the main floor. That garden was spectacular, and those rooms provided an adorable cottage retreat feel! This hotel is not directly in the main rush of Berlin, but a very nice, clean, safe, and transportation accessible area which is why we chose it. Thank you team at Gate Garden Hotel!
