The Gate Hotel Tokyo by HULIC

I love this hotel! Located in Ginza with a subway entrance right outside the entrance, but also very close to all the fabulous shops and restaurants. The staff here are amazing! The bar staff were fun but professional, I’d go back just to see them again. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the deluxe king bed suites and my husband and I were lucky enough to be upgraded to a corner suite. Our room was beautiful and so huge! |I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and I can’t wait to visit again.

🌸 Review for Gate Hotel Kyoto Gate Hotel Kyoto is easily one of the best hotels we stayed at during our entire Japan trip. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Kyoto, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs, and within easy reach of all the main sightseeing spots. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The hotel has a lovely bar on the terrace, and we especially enjoyed the bonfire area where guests can relax during happy hours with complimentary beers, wines, and coffee. The highlight was getting to roast our own marshmallows — a small but memorable touch. Another unique experience was the geisha evening organized by the hotel — something we might not have had a chance to experience otherwise. It was authentic, engaging, and very well arranged. Overall, Gate Hotel Kyoto offers a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and cultural experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto — it’s a hotel that truly enhances your stay in the city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

Gorgeous corner room with floor to ceiling windows. Large with lots of storage space. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and cocktails. Lovely bars and rooftop. Fantastic location right next to Ginza station 9. Tons of shopping and food choices steps out the door. Highly recommend

We changed room and staff is do helping to move the luggage for us. Very nice and convenient hotel with modern interior design. View from outside window’s Ginza scenery is beautiful!!! The breakfast is delicious and fresh! Love everything!

Absolutely loved my stay at The Gate Hotel HULIC! The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Ginza, making it super convenient to explore the city. The open-air bar is another highlight — such a great spot to unwind in the evenings with amazing views and a relaxed atmosphere.||The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. Perfectly located, modern and luxury hotel perfectly located next to Ginza station. Breakfast was delicious with multiple options. Room was one of the largest we stayed at while in Japan. Staff is beyond polite and helpful. Highly recommended!

Location of this hotel is excellent. If coming in by train the exit from the train station is C1 and the hotel is 10 steps from there, very convenient. Lobby is on the 4th Floor, very helpful staff. Room was excellent, spacious, modern clean and very comfortable.|Bathroom was excellent, great shower and amenities. |No noise from the train station below. Atmosphere is great and good value for money . Based on this experience I would look to stay at other hotels under this brand

We stayed at The Gate hotel for 3 nights in November 2025 and 1 night in December 2025. Such an amazing hotel. The room was fantastic. So comfortable with views of skyscrapers. Breakfast was really good. The staff are so helpful. Loved this hotel

Reception desk was very friendly very attentive. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The rooms are nice sizes. The beds are very comfortable. All rooms Comes with a Nespresso coffee maker. The room service is exceptional. The views are outstanding. The hotel is in the middle of 2 train stations. Walking distance to McDonald's and 7/11.

This is for the Ryoguku location... We are impressed! Although we booked this hotel with our flight package for 8 nights, we truly only stayed here for 6 nights because we went to Kyoto and Osaka for 3 days, we still enjoyed it waaaay too much. When we were in Osaka, we were excited to get back here because we loved our hotel so much. Everything about this hotel and especially our room felt like home. It really felt like home but with housekeeping every day to refill everything. They were so attentive which made our stay even better. We really didn't need to pack toiletries. I mean, they even provided us with pajamas! I love how the hotel is along the river. We walked the river so many times, it was beautiful. The hotel itself was upscale with a beautiful rooftop terrace. It's not as bustling as most parts of Tokyo, so if you are want to relax, this hotel is the perfect choice. Ryoguku station is less than a 10 minute walk and there's a 711 right next to the station. We were frequently there and we loved it. If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would. The staff are all welcoming and professional. Our room was super comfy, super clean, spacious and we loved the shower! Everything about out stay was great. I couldn't ask for more.

Excellent hotel! The staffs are great, such a great location near stations, and also beautiful room. I stayed here for the first time with my mom to celebrate her belated birthday. They gave us her little gift. The room was amazing with lots of amenities like coffee maker, mini fridge, cups & glasses and all bath amenities. They have a balcony seating areas you can take pics and drink. My mom needed a shower cap and I called them and they brought us the shower caps right away. I'm more amazed how these staffs are well trained as well as room itself. I will recommend everyone for this hotel.
