Lovely little pub, with great food, and friendly staff.
Dropped in for a late lunch while visiting Middleham and Richmond castles. 2 of us had pies which were amazing and I had a vegan burger which was delicious. All freshly cooked, great value for money.
Good selection of ales, including no/low alcohol, and they do coffee in a little french press for one 😍
Staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend paying it a visit.

Wow. Hopefully the photo does the Sunday Lunch justice as it was absolutely beautiful and a bargain for the quality. Only down side is we were only passing through and won't be able to return anytime soon

Absolutely fabulous, from the welcome through the beers to the excellent pies, cheese and onion for me, rabbit for my partner. Great value and really great service. I don't review often but this was really worth a mention.

Great Real Ale pub. We cycled 11 miles from a campsite in Leyburn especially to visit this great pub again. 8 cask beers on including several excellent Yorkshire bitters. Lamb pie was very good and the barman very welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly and nice views from the beer garden.

The food was lovely, reasonable priced and the staff were really nice as well. Dog friendly. Well sign posted if you are walking through the woods and they sell books of walks in the area

What a great find. Booked a table for 7 of us as a birthday celebration, it was a burger weekend, but wow what a burger, it tasted amazing, different varieties were tried and loved by all of our party. Compliments to the chef. The service was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble.
The scenery is outstanding and the atmosphere is great, basically if u haven't been and ur in the area it's worth a visit.
We live over an hour away but will definitely go back if we travel that way.
Thankyou to all the front and back of house staff to make our visit a memorable one.

Excellent pub. Lovely walk from Richmond on a sunny day. Was not expecting a vegan option but they had a great vegan curry on the menu so we stayed for lunch. Staff were very knowledgable and gave recommendations on the beer. Could have sat in the beer garden all day. Cheers.
