"If you row your boat gently down the River Thames to Marlow, merriment comes in the form of boutique bolthole The George & Dragon. The town’s rowing heritage is rich, but you can also dip your toe into high-street mooches, hikes in the Chiltern Hills and river-path rambles. And with its mod-country interiors, refined seasonal dining and courtyard terrace, life is but a dream at this ravishing pub with rooms." - Mr & Mrs Smith
The best Sunday roast ever!! We are regulars here and come often either in the week or die Sunday roast. Today again we came and the best roast ever!! I had beef and it was just so tender, great quality and delicious (and we all know beef is hard to get right!!) husband had chicken and both were fabulous. MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO ELLE who served us - she was excellent!! Thanks chefs and ELLE! AMAZING LUNCH - back soon (Deb, Kev & Jasper the dog!!🐕

Celebrated a 90th birthday lunch here, the service was helpful, friendly and without drama, nothing, was too much trouble. We had five adults, one in a wheelchair and two cockapoos for lunch and we were accommodated extremely well in an area of the restaurant for dog owners. Every course was tasty and well presented with a good choice on the menu for all. Many thanks.

Booked for an overnight stay, dinner and breakfast the following morning. Overall great experience with stunning Rome which was only a snug but perfect for us. The standard of the accommodation, bar and restaurant was of a very high quality and small touch’s like petite-four on the room much appreciated. |Dinner was very nice and service was smooth. Typical Raymond Blanc menu but very nice al the same. |Great night sleep and wonderful shower. ||Breakfast where it all went wrong ! Wife ask for scrambled egg and for poached, my full English consisted of cold mushrooms, uncooked black pudding, the bacon was so burnt is was boarding on Carcinogenic and the Bake beans were also cold. Due not seeing any staff following the service of the food we could not complain. No offer of orange juice, toast or a top up of coffee were an option due to no member of staff. Were returned to are room and left about half and later at which point out breakfast table still had not been cleared. ||The whole experience was good just breakfast left us feeling at little flat.

Received a warm and relaxed welcome on arrival.
Visited mid week, restaurant wasn't overly busy, bar was busier. Service was attentive and quick.
Food was fresh, well presented, well cooked and delicious.
Crab bits, trout tartare, Atlantic cod and pheasant were out choice of dishes.
Good location, large public car park a few minutes walk away. Free to park after 7pm.
Would definitely return.

Very comfortable stay. The room was beautifully appointed and the bed extremely comfortable. Be aware there is some traffic and patron noise. However, complimentary earplugs are available and it’s to be expected in such a central location. Food excellent.

Came here for my one year anniversary and was thoroughly impressed!
The staff were all friendly and attentive and the service was top notch.
The room was lovely, clean and nicely decorated.
The bed was really comfortable!
The food in the pub is also very high quality and delicious! (also very reasonably priced)
Thank you so much to the team at the George and Dragon inn for making our stay so special.

Great stay once again! We have been here three times now and always loved it. Really clean and tidy, a great bar downstairs, you have side access to get in and out without going through the bar itself. Team are always really friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Diabolical... Booked in for Christmas dinner , they had clearly overbooked . Told on arrival hour and a half wait for a table . We left along with quite a few other people, still waiting for refund . Not one apology from staff for ruining our Christmas. Avoid at all costs

Yelp
Poor food and even worse service makes the restaurant portion of this establishment a weak dining choice.

Yelp
Good service, many choices of beers and ales. Average pub with outside seating, although on the main road. Nice place to sit down and view the church with that deserved pint.

Yelp
I feared the worse when I saw the generic looking menus but it was unfounded. I had a very nice seafood linguine (a bit of rocket on top was a nice touch) and the gammon steak. Very well priced as well.

Yelp
The George and Dragon in Marlow has been refurbished and re-opened last summer. It is now attached to the new Premier Inn. I have been there on two occasions for Lunch and each time I have had a fairly well priced meal. First time a had the roast chicken and my friend had a curry. And the second time we all had the burgers (which were about £6.95 I think and came with 2 toppings from a choice of things like cheese, mushrooms, guacamole). The quality probably isn't amazing, but it is really quite good value for money. The staff were friendly and polite.
