This was my first stay and i enjoyed every moment. This place gives you instantly good vibes, the back ground music is trendy, the bar and restaurant very classy. Rooms are decorated with subtle objects. I will come back next year !

This is the second time at The George, the first time in 2023. Both times I stayed 4-5 nights. The hotel is modern, comfortable beds, convenient location to groceries, bus, trains, and restaurants. Room service was timely. The restaurant is superb. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Anytime I travel overseas to Hamburg, I will stay at The George!

I had a good time here on a business trip. The room was cozy, the breakfast was decent. I did lose an hour one evening when they forgot to turn on the sauna after I asked and paid for it at the reception. No big deal, but how can that even happen.

This is a wonderful hotel but the staff is what sets them above others ( I am a lifetime titanium member). My stay lasted 5 weeks and it was an extremely difficult time in my life. The staff constantly showed kindness and interest over the entire stay. I cannot thank them enough. I cannot thank them all, but special thanks to the Front desk Mgr. Baris, and the entire front desk staff. Also Petra, DaCaio restaurant and Fardin.05 DaCaio bar. Thank you very much!!!!!

Modern and new(?) hotel. Location at the quiet edge of the busy St. George. Parking under the hotel. But far from U-bahn, but busses stop closeby. Rooms look good. Beds good, but for me a bit too hard. Temperature in the room too warm at night, we could not figure out of and how the airco should be working. Size of room just Oke. Wifi good but without password. Interior of the hotel is hip/yup, but very dark. Nice fancy bar, but was smelling badly (i think might be the truffle carpaccio sauce that you good smell everywhere). 2nd night there was some party going on with loud music and guests not from the hotel. Both nights no comfy chairs. Parking is expensive (27 euro for the night). Breakfast is expensive (26 euro). Cocktails bay from 10 to 98 !!! Euro. All kind of fancy drinks for the rich and famous. I guess Hamburg is getting expensive, including this hotel. Did not go to top floor terrace, nor Spa, not sure if they were open or existing at all? Must be more expensive anyway. Value for money: no

Its beyond what our initial expression and thoughts.|I wish we could have known few facts in advance.|Spend your evening with them specially after 8PM onwards.||location: Day time its very rough and not appealing. Good 30 min. walk from centre and neighborhood look sad ( only day time) this turned into great place in evening and we were blown away.||Reception: 9/10 missing Marriott standards by 1 point. The hotel is very nice. We loved the decoration. The rooms are not big but sufficient, the breakfast is not cheap but definitely worth the value. The breakfast staff is super friendly and serving you quick you get fresh coffee and eggs, omelette included in the price. The location is good there is a bus stop very close which takes you to the centre. On the other side of the hotel there is the river and a river restaurant. The bar has a very big offering and it has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed having a beer there.||The two negative things for us over that the hotel actually didn’t have any summer blankets in June we got very thick winter blankets. And even if we asked for change, they said they do not have any. It was very warm like that. The other thing is rather minor but it could be an easy fix: the hairdryer was full of dirt and therefore it couldn’t take any fresh air so it switched off after 1 minute then you have to wait again until it cools down. this should be definitely replaced.

Very nice hotel, about 15-20 minutes walk from the central train station and the old town. Design is nice and artsy and there is a nice library room on the ground level as well as a spa with a sauna on the 6th floor. Rooms are small but comfortable.

So the food is good, expensive for Hamburg, but well presented and a carefully selected menu. Great tiger prawns. The bewildering thing is that whilst the waiters, maitre d' and the menu all seem Italian, the food seems remarkably French - lots of jus and reduction, not so much of the fresh flavour. If someone knows the chef, say bonjour from me. Very stylish, and seems to hit it off with the well-heeled of Eppendorf. Really good wine list, including a great Sardinian white (can't remember the name). To go to the toilet you have to voyage far into the centre of the earth, and may well miss coffee navigating back. I'd go back.
