This is a very esthetically pleasing hotel - the interior is sheik and well-thought-out, with loads of attention to detail. There are several sitting rooms around the property, with fine leather chairs and other dark wooden furniture - think "1970's Playboy cigar lounge."
The bar/restaurant "Dacaio" is fun and kitschy, but can be quite loud in the evenings. The craft cocktails are tasty, if a bit pricy.
Unfortunately, despite being part of the Marriott family of hotels, many of the amenities one might expect from a Renaissance or JW simply aren't present here. There's no gym, and the sauna is "Pay to play." The climate control in the rooms is an odd ambient system which (according to the staff) doesn't cool like regular air-conditioning. (My room was quite warm, and I had to leave my window open for cooling.)
All-in-all, it's a nice looking boutique establishment, but there are better Marriott options in the area.
