My boyfriend and I stayed at The George while exploring St. Julian’s, and we couldn’t have picked a better location. Everything was within walking distance, just 10 minutes to the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. The room was clean, well-organized, and super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we loved relaxing at the rooftop pool with cocktails. We also made great use of the indoor pool and highly recommend the steam room for a bit of extra relaxation. A perfect stay overall!

We were on a family vacation with our three children – everything was excellent! The rooms were clean and tidy, and the breakfast was great. The rooftop pool is also fantastic. The staff were very kind, with special thanks to Anna and Raj at the reception. You are wonderful!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Despite the ongoing construction in the area, the hotel experience was smooth and hassle-free. It’s in a great location and close to everything we needed. Huge thanks to Anna at the front desk for being so attentive and helpful. She gave us excellent recommendations and always followed up, even when things got busy. We’re already looking forward to staying here again

I stayed at The George for several nights while visiting Malta solo, and overall it was a good base — modern-looking hotel with clean interiors and a great location in St Julian’s, close to beaches, cafes, and transport links. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite, though not overly warm or engaging. Breakfast was basic but fine — I stuck with the ham and cheese omelettes most mornings. The rooftop pool is decent if you want a quick dip, but the view shown in photos is a bit misleading — tall new buildings have sprung up all around it, so it’s now quite enclosed and not the open skyline view you might expect. The strawberry Mohitos from the pool bar are delish. One thing worth mentioning: a building on the same street had recently collapsed (Tania Flats), and while this happened before my arrival, the debris was still there — a stark reminder of how serious the incident was. What stood out, though, was how the local authorities evacuated residents ahead of time and prevented any injuries. I found it reassuring to see how it was handled, even if the visual impact is still very fresh in the area. Overall, The George is a solid hotel if you want a stylish base in a buzzy part of town. Just don’t expect luxury-level service or amenities, and be aware that the surrounding neighbourhood is changing fast.

Generally a good hotel with a clean and stylish atmosphere. Our double deluxe room was spacious and comfortable, overall very pleasant, although there were some signs of wear. The hotel offers two pools, one rooftop pool and one in the basement. Additionally, there is a jacuzzi and a sauna. The breakfast was delicious, but the scrambled eggs were kind of wet, making them disgusting. There is even a free water refill station in the lobby and the service and staff were great. The location is in close proximity to the party area saint julian, so be warned to hear drunk teenagers shouting at night. I can recommend using earplugs from the bottom of my heart. Moreover there is also a construction nearby, so it was loud. But this is just a coincidence, so it’s nobody’s fault. Two negative aspects: -there is no gym -the fire alarm randomly started at one afternoon Overall a solid hotel and for the relatively cheap price a valid pick. 4 Stars

I fell in love with Malta once again, The George hotel had a lot to do with it, played in the Malta Poker Festival with this being a recommended property, very good option. From the check in to check out everything was great. Great A/C comfortable bed, great property close to everything. One negative is the shower, the water pressure not very good and the shower head to close to the wall. Other then that highly Recommended

Pros: The staff was quite polite and the pool area was nice. Overall the room size was ok. Cons: The room was not very clean and it seemed like it needed a renovation. Breakfast was also quite repetitive every day. Overall this did not feel like a 4* hotel

The hotel itself is modern and clean. The exterior of the hotel itself reflects this, but due to the construction in the street one would be forgiven for feeling like the boys from the “Inbetweeners” movie when approaching the hotel! But…don’t be put off - it’s not ‘that’ bad, really.|The rooms are bright, spacious and airy - plenty of room to swing whatever you so desire… our room was cleaned every day and the shower was great too. Milton Brown toiletries are also a nice touch. The “fridge” however was pathetic - located in a cupboard under the desk and tv, the heat it produced was incredible, and it didn’t really chill our drinks!|The view across from our balcony tot ur construction site was a low point but can’t be helped and didn’t affect our stay.|The swimming pool on the roof terrace was great, always free loungers and the water was lovely too and never felt busy.|The drinks selection (beers in particular) was lacklustre at best - Stella or some IPA nonsense and that was it!||The hotel location is fairly central in St Julian’s and close to plenty bars and restaurants, although I’d say the locale itself is more suited to the younger folks amount us, which apparently I am no longer part of being over 40 now! It’s about €12/13 in taxi from the airport too which is also a plus.||Breakfast was great too and had a good selection of all the usual things, and possibly a first time I’ve encountered a hotel outwith the UK offering sausages that were actually edible!|Staff were good and very polite and helpful too.
