The George, College Station (College Station, Texas) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The 60-acre mixed-use Century Square development, adjacent to the Texas A&M campus, is home to a multitude of shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as two boutique hotels. The George is the more luxurious of the two, and marries sleek urban-style design with hardy materials like richly figured wood and leather. King and Double rooms are swanky enough, while the Executive Suites spread out to 800 square feet. Downstairs, the 1791 Whiskey Bar is a sensible place to begin and/or end the evening, and Century Square’s restaurants begin right outside with Porters, an upscale chophouse and bar." - Tablet Hotels

My stay at The George Hotel in College Station was outstanding from start to finish. The overall quality and value of the hotel were excellent — it’s clear that a lot of thought and care go into maintaining both the atmosphere and the guest experience. The bar was a highlight of my visit, offering an impressive cocktail menu and a relaxed, stylish vibe. I highly recommend trying the Oaxaca Old Fashioned — it’s perfectly balanced and one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a hotel bar. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out effortless. Their professionalism and warmth really set the tone for the entire stay. One of the most memorable touches was the artificial sheep scattered throughout the hotel — they move occasionally and add a quirky, lighthearted charm that makes The George stand out in the best way. There were some minor renovation noises during my stay, but it was a small inconvenience that didn’t detract from the overall experience. The staff handled everything with grace, and it certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. Overall, The George delivers a fantastic blend of style, comfort, and hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting College Station.

Alexia and staff were excellent in helping with top notch concierge services to arrangements for a mid-week get away for my wife and myself. I opted for a romance package with valet service and champagne/strawberries. The Valencia group's packages at the George gave us some nice options to customize the trip and make it more memorable. Overall, we had a relaxing time at the George and Century Square during an off peak time of the week which make the visit all the better. A bottle of cold champagne and fresh dipped chocolate strawberries were in our room when we arrived. The room was a fabulous suite with separate living, bed room, and large bath areas. We had room service late at night and the food arrived quickly. It was hot and fresh. The attendant, I can't remember her name, was friendly and attentive. The valet service always had our car ready in a short time. We will be back!

The George is such a beautiful hotel—stylish, comfortable, and in a great location. The rooms are spotless, the atmosphere feels both upscale and welcoming, and every detail has a unique charm that makes it stand out.||On top of that, the service was outstanding. Daisy and her trainee Kaylee were so kind and helpful—Daisy was incredibly professional and warm, and Kaylee did a fantastic job jumping in with a friendly attitude. Hugo was also a huge help, making sure everything was taken care of quickly and smoothly. Together, they made the whole experience feel effortless and personal.||Between the gorgeous hotel itself and the amazing service from Daisy, Kaylee, and Hugo, my stay was unforgettable. I’d recommend The George to anyone visiting College Station!

Great location just off campus. We loved our room and the great service that started from the moment we pulled up to the hotel, even with it being a hectic game weekend. Decor was on point.|My son and I really enjoyed the pool. Food and drinks were delicious. He loved the sneaky sheep! Thanks y'all! Whoop!

Highly recommend this hotel. Plenty of shops and restaurants near by. There is sheep that you can move around the hotel. As you see in my photo some was having fun with the concept. The rooms are comfortable. One very small thing that i notice is the hotel is decorated with beautiful dark warm colors with dim lighting which made it harder to see. Would stay again.

We called ahead to ask on how to book a handicap room. They did ask what day we would be staying and it shouldn’t be a problem just add it to the notes. I book more than two weeks in advance. We showed up and could not get a handicap room because there were fireman men in town. Was the reason we were told. Asked we could provide a shower chair she said yes never got one. I asked later if she planed on doing she said yes she forgot and apologized we said it’s ok it’s late anyways after we made a purchase from the gift area. We walked into the room the design and décor is very impressive. However the smell is musty and the room was warm to hot and had to lower the A.C to get it to a decent temp. The location of the hotel is great around so many restaurants and shops all with in walking distance to please different appetites. Pretty cool feature is they have sheep that gust can put anywhere. They company might want to consider moving kitchen stuff outside window views. For a luxury upscale hotel it was an ok stay nothing to impressive other than location. One thing I forgot to mention, there was also what looked to be burn stains on the sheets.

Good location, pretty lobby, but the room fell short. Upon walking in, the room had a musty smell. The humidity level in the room was so high, that everything felt damp. I called front desk and the solution was to just make sure the air conditioner was turned on(it was). The humidity issue never really resolved and furniture/ carpet always felt damp, with the smell persisting. We live in a humid area and are accustomed to humidity, but not inside like this. Upon reading other reviews, this seems to be a common issue with the rooms and a/c system. The beds were actually really small for two adults, so just a heads up that they are smaller than the normal hotel experience. We’ve stayed at other Valencia hotels and had better experiences. For the price, it was just not a comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day.

A perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and Texas charm. The George offers an experience unlike anything I've had in a hotel. The mixed-use real estate around the hotel makes it a perfect location for an easy stay. There is no reason to leave the immediate vicinity of the hotel -- everything you could need for food or shopping is within a few footsteps. The George has a shuttle service for A&M home games. The bar is spacious with a great selection of top shelf spirits and bartenders who know how to mix your favorite cocktails. The hotel room showers are spacious and fit for a King.
