Good selection of beer, excellent staff, friendly crowd.

Chill environment outside. An adult bar with no dancefloor; The Gin is a great place to go for knowledgeable bartenders. Good music playing and sports on the TVs. I enjoy a bar where I can hear the people I'm talking to with minimal effort.

I got engaged and went here for a few drinks with my family. Krysta was amazing and made sure we all had everything we needed. Cheers to Krysta for making my special night even more magical!

A neighborhood bar. Everyone knows each other. The owner was there and very attentive for new comers. Good crowd, felt very safe and clean. Good selection of tap beer, and spirits.

Found my new neighborhood bar. It's a nice crowd, everyone mostly seems regular so everyone knows each other, which makes for a nice, relaxed vibe. The bartenders are great (with impressive memories for drinks). Love it here.

We had a birthday event last night and Krysta was amazing! We brought and set up for our event, she gave us cookies for it and offered to give us plates etc. we had everything we needed but she was so sweet and was the best bartender as well! Such a friendly and sweet personality! Definitely recommend and we will for sure be back! 🙂

This is my place to go for a drink on weekends, their draft beer options change often, so is a good place to go and try something. The bartenders are super kind. Good place if you want to have a good drink and a nice chat, but definitely not a party place with loud music or something.

Such an amazing atmosphere. So glad to find a bar like this in Montgomery. Krysta was amazing and took care of everything we needed promptly and professionally. 5/5 stars and will DEFINITELY be back again

I went to The Gin with a party of six. The old fashioned drinks I ordered were excellent! My only wish is that they offered appetizers. We stayed and enjoyed our time for about 3 hours.

We have been wanting to try the Gin for a while and finally had the chance to go for drinks. I felt that the drinks were 4-star quality and the atmosphere was a 2.5-3 star.

Modified the old fashioned (no oranges available) but still very tasty. Nice choice for a pre or post dinner

This bar is a cute little place tucked away in Eastchase! I would definitely recommend it for a date night, a drink after work, or friendly gathering. There is not much seating, lights are dim, and modern pop plays in the backgound. Bartender is very courteous and helpful. There is also outdoor seating where you can enjoy the outdoor breeze. I got the rosemary tango. This was a gin based drink with some rosemary syrup and orange bitter. Honestly I couldnt really smell or taste the rosemary and it tasted more citrusy than anything. All in all a good cocktail though! They have quite a good selection of beers from smaller breweries around the area.

This is a pretty cool place to hang out! It's chill most times but on Fridays there is a crowd quite entertaining and fun. This is my go to place to just chill and relax.

A Manhattan cocktail: 2 ounces bourbon 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth 1/2 ounce dry vermouth 2 dashes bitters Maraschino cherry It was a simple request. I asked for two manhattans for myself and a friend who had never had one. The bartender lazily poured the ingredients in a shaker hardly looking to see if it was the correct measurements. At first I thought this was reflective of his expertise but it became painfully obviously when he filled the glasses he had not been paying much attention. The glasses were both less than half full and he hadn't even split the cocktail evenly. I said, "Sir I do not want to be THAT customer, but does this look full to you?" I asked with a smile fully aware he was the only bartender there with no bar-back but instead of replying as if I was a rational understanding customer he copped an attitude. He started throwing out expletives underneath his breadth and said, "do you f$&#ing want them or not!?" I said, "no, not if I'm paying full price for half a drink." He poured one into the other which made a full glass and walked away. I understand he was all alone and very busy but that doesn't condone his disrespectful behavior. It was the worst service I've received at a bar and I've worked at three different restaurants. I would not recommend this bar to anyone. If you can't make a simple Manhattan you're not a good bartender. If you yell at your customer for calling you out on it, you're a terrible bartender.

The better half and I stopped in to have a quick cocktail before heading in from shopping. Obviously a place for locals. Bar tender seemed preoccupied with the 3 guys watching the TV behind the bar. Once I asked to close the tab.... the young lady that was playing bar keep gave me the total. Very reasonable prices..... but then I sat there for another 10 minutes. Once she finally took my card, she apologized for making us wait. Said she was eating her cheese fries. Oh! Did I mention this place serves no food. At any rate not impressed.... but I'm not in the group of 10 or so locals that is keeping this joint open. Parking lot is pretty small and not equipped to handle more than a few cars. This place needs a manager because it's got potential!

Well, they don't have a rocks pour for grey goose, a measured shot. I asked how much a double was and it was the same as 2 single shots, I guess come here and be ignored unless you're a young lady, bartender stated he would be right with me, left the bar then came back and started flirting with some girls. He did eventually make to me. For the money there are lots of places were they won't double charge for a double, add more cost for sure, but not twice as much.

The Gin is great! The bartenders are always on top of it...I am not a regular but they always remember me. Megan is awsone!!!!the music ALWAYS is better than any other bar you will go to. Talk music with the owner Greg....will be a long conversation...awesome...

We were recommended this place from someone where we had eaten dinner in the area. When we walked up to the establishment, the immediate reaction was it was going to a good choice - it's pretty. Once inside, you could definitely tell the other patrons were locals and it was their hangout spot. Not a big deal. Ordered from the bar, started a tab without issue. Bartender was nice. We sat outside. And then I needed to use the restroom. So they have two: one for men, one for women. There was a man standing in between the two doors and I did not realize they were gender specific at first. The man informed me they do not like men to use the women's restroom. I said I didn't realize (it was dark inside) it was specific. Then, from someone sitting at the end of the bar closest to the restrooms, a man started saying/slurring something. I looked over and the drunk individual was saying something I could not make out. I turned back around...he kept muttering something. I looked at him again and asked if he was talking to me. He said yes and stated, what sounded sarcastic to me, something so I got closer to him and asked again if he was talking to me. He then explained he doesn't like men to use the women's restroom. I laughed, apologized for misunderstanding what he was saying, shook his hand and then used the men's room. When I walked out, he again stated he did not like men using "his" women's restroom. I asked if he owned the place and he said sarcastically, "yes." I walked away, went to pay for my drinks, and asked the bartender if the DB at the end of the bar owned the place. She said, "he sure does." I asked her to buy him a drink and put on my tab. When I walked outside to my party and started explaining what had just happened...the "owner" came out behind me and said we needed to leave and that he could refuse service to anyone he wanted and we were no longer welcome there. We said ok, I needed to pay my tab, he said it was covered and for us to leave. I asked for my receipt, he didn't want to give one so I insisted he did. He came back with one with a zero balance. So sorry for the long post. But...I suggest you find another spot to get a drink or the belligerent, drunk, unwelcoming owner may throw you out for any reason he wants. One star for the bartender, one star for how the place looks. Low stars for a poorly managed establishment. I don't see this place staying in business much longer.

Great place for craft cocktails! Nice atmosphere and will definitely be back next time we're in town!
