The Giri Residence

From the moment you arrive, The Giri wraps you in a sense of quiet luxury and soulful design. Tucked away in the peaceful north of Ibiza, this boutique hideaway feels more like a sanctuary than a hotel. The Junior Suite with pool view was spacious, serene, and beautifully curated. Think natural textures, soft linens, and thoughtful details that make you feel held. Waking up here, with the light filtering through the curtains and birdsong in the air, was nothing short of magical. Breakfasts are a dream. Organic, fresh, and full of flavour. Perfect fuel for a day of beach-hopping or doing absolutely nothing by the pool. What makes The Giri truly exceptional is the people. A special thank you to Omar, who helped me with such kindness and calm presence throughout my stay. His attention to detail and warm energy made everything flow effortlessly. And to the friendly owner, whose quiet charm and hospitality reflect the spirit of this beautiful place — thank you for making it feel like home. It’s not just a place to stay. It’s a place to return to yourself.

I stayed at The Giri Residence with two friends for four days in mid-July. The hotel and location were gorgeous. We wanted a relaxing stay for a holiday and to celebrate my 40th birthday. While the rooms and hotel were stunning, we felt that customer service was very disappointing. The staff were nice and polite but they were not very attentive. Prior to arrival, I had made hotel staff aware that three of us would be sharing our suite - despite this, they only stocked the room for two people and we had to ask for additional glasses, towels and dressing gown on more than one occasion. When we checked in we didn't receive any information about the hotel, the spa or its facilities / treatments available to us. We weren't told where breakfast would be served or even given a tour of the hotel. Before arrival, I made the hotel aware that I would be celebrating a special birthday and asked if they could recommend any fun activities we could book for the day. I was told that they would discuss suggestions when we arrive - unfortunately, this did not happen. Although at check-in they acknowledged that I would be celebrating my birthday during our stay, they did nothing to mark the occasion. Breakfast was lovely but service was often slow. While the luxury hotel matched the price we paid it wasn't reflected in the customer service. When leaving the hotel we happened to meet the owner. Thinking we were arriving rather than leaving, he enthusiastically introduced himself and offered us a free glass of wine each. The warm and chatty farewell that we received at the end of our stay was what we'd expected to receive at the beginning and throughout our stay. I would happily stay at The Giri Residence again if customer service was improved and staff were more attentive to guests.

I was looking for peace and quiet in a lovely area with a nice atmosphere. This is was I got. Lovely friendly service, tasty and healthy breakfast, lovely garden and pool. Perfect to wind down and just relax. Thanks for the great time!

So much character! Stunning rooms. Very picturesque hotel. Would highly recommend. Beds very comfortable (could do with better pillows.) The Staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! If you end up staying here, make sure you have a meal at Giri café! Fantastic food

The tranquil garden and pool area are perfect for unwinding, and the sense of privacy extends to every corner of the property, making it ideal for couples in search of a quiet, luxurious escape. Whether you’re spending lazy afternoons by the pool or exploring the beautiful design elements of the residence, every moment feels intentional, offering a deep sense of peace and rejuvenation. The Giri Residence is a place where the blend of thoughtful design, mysterious allure, and impeccable service creates an experience unlike any other. For us it was a hidden oasis, that offered an unparalleled experience of tranquility and style.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay here. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, with a lovely garden and pool, it´s a little oasis of peace and quiet - so relaxing - the only noise you'll hear are the goats in the surround countryside. Lovely to take a dip in the jacuzzi downstairs too! Our room, the Olivo suite, was really cosy and comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The food at the Giri cafe next door was really fantastic. What made it outstanding were the staff, in particular Carmen, who couldn't do enough for us. We felt so relaxed and couldn't have enjoyed it more, thanks to the amazing service we received in every moment. We hope to be back next year!

What a truly amazing place! Every corner in every single room is decorated with si much good taste. Everything little thing makes sense in this place! Congratulations to management and all staff working here, you guys made an outstanding difference to us. You must be very proud! Forget about big hotel chains, none could compare to el Giri Residence (and its cafe!). We feel honoured for having spent our holiday time with you. We will certainly come back. Let's make what should be a long story short: I fell il love with The Giri Residence 5 years ago! ||The place is beautiful, the garden is a peaceful oasis with a nice swimming pool and Balinese beds which are good options to chill out and avoid the crowds. All the rooms are wonderful, but of course the Bourgainville Suite and its private terrasse is a unique experience. ||The location is perfect for visiting the North of the island: you are close to breathtaking "calas", whereas you are in the very center of a small genuine Spanish village. ||And most important: the standard of the service is just SECOND TO NONE. This year Carmen, Pamela, Maria and Bart took care of us and made sure we had EVERYTHING we could possibly need. ||Do not hesitate, The Giri Residence is a must go.||Make sure you also visit the Giri Restaurant: the atmosphere and the food are unique! People come from all over the island to have lunch or dinner there.

Great place for lunch, afternoon smoothie or diner... The garden at the back is great, you won't want to leave! Nice interior too, modern but still warm.

Also within the Main Square of San Juan village, "Ibiza's bohemian north." Not open during the winter, but appeared foodie worthy. Emily Rose Reeder
