We have stayed at The Globe countless times and it is our favourite place to stay in Aberdeen. The rooms are gorgeous, large, cosy and have everything you could need. You’re 5 minutes from the city centre on foot and food well if you want great food you just need to go downstairs to the pub/restaurant. The food is delicious and if you fancy something different there are countless other eateries nearby. But I think they have something for everyone here. The staff have always gone above and beyond. They are cheerful, helpful and if you aren’t used to the area they are full of great advice and tips. I will be honest on Friday and Saturday nights keep in mind you’re above a very popular pub and you will hear noises and music. But it’s never bothered us. I’m sitting here at 6 at night on a Sunday and it’s dead silent. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here it’s been our go to place for around 8 years and we recommend it to everyone. We will always book to stay here if there is room it’s our happy get away in Aberdeen.

Really nice and cozy place with extremely friendly staff. We stayed one night on our whisky tour. The pub is super nice with great food, beer and a neat whisky collection. Had a great Haggis there as well. Rooms have everything you can ask for incl complimentary coffee, tv and the like. We went for the full breakfast the next morning and were anything else than disappointed. Delicious and huge portions. Location if the place is also great with easy walking access to all places in Aberdeen.

Up in Aberdeen for two nights (for a wedding) The Globe offered the perfect location just a few minutes walk from the centre. The pub was vibrant and busy each evening..and you got the sense that those staying here were pretty regular guests. Specifically those from Norway. Really nice to see. Our room (top-floor room 7) was larger than most I think- but with a few very annoying disappointments. I couldn't (for the life of me) get the room TV to work...despite reporting this issue three times (I used to be Senior Marketing Manager for a Japanese Consumer Electronics Company with a U.K. based TV manufacturing plant) - I found myself standing on the coffee table to make sure that their TV connections were correct. In addition, in-room door furniture was either missing or falling off and disguarded on the floor. The hairdryer blew within 60 seconds of my wife using it. To save time and hassle (and probable lack of staff intervention/in-action) I simply swapped it out from room 5 downstairs which was recently cleaned and vacant. When you have no faith in the staff...you're pretty much forced to get things done yourself. That's exactly how it felt here. You're essentially your own! Just the way I like it. Subsequently, room 5 now has a faulty hairdryer! 😀 Thank you for the iron and board! It was a lifesaver! We only ate food here at breakfast time but it was superb and the staff are extremely friendly! The establishment was absolutely alright...but if I'd have stayed here any longer than two nights - it wouldn't driven me absolutely bonkers! I'd have been having some serious words. This place could do so much better.

Nipped in while attending the music hall which was a 3 min walk. Beer was great with friendly staff. Will be eating next time as it looked good. Live sports played as well. Returned for food this time, nachos for sharing were great ! staff were still great ! Forgot to say, it's also dog friendly.

Great place to stay in Aberdeen. Easy to reach the public transport services, and you can walk to most parts of the city. We were very happy with the quite spacious room, and ate downstairs in the pub every day in the morning and at night.

Tucked away in the little back streets of Aberdeen. Given instructions on free packing on arrival. Rooms clean and tidy. Good choice of breakfast items. Evening meal choices good to.

Nice, traditional pub located in the centre of Aberdeen. Good selection of drinks, served by friendly staff. Food is good, mainly pub grub with big portions.

Yelp
Had a great meal here! Wife had a great stir fry and I had Scampi and chips - but the best was the Sticky Toffee Pudding! We were glad we didn't share it!!
