The Globe Inn Marsh Rye

A lovely, cosy, pleasant, venue with a fantastic choice of food superbly cooked and delivered - a supreme, delicious burger and triple-cooked chips !!! The atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is modern and trendy, and the service is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The beer garden is not huge, but looks a great stop-off on warmer days. Keep it up !!!!!!

Great unique place. Lovely to sit inside or out, the decor is great. If you like fish/seafood definitely recommend. Good location, parking not great so best to walk especially if staying in Rye.

Best roast I've ever had! Love the touch of serving the whole roast chicken for two (very filling, we shared what was left with the table) and they offered to do an extra half chicken as 3 in our party were considering it initially. Nice to be flexible Lovely staff, quick service, the atmosphere was friendly and warm with nice decor. Everyone at pur table enjoyed their food and experience Thanks!!

Lovely pub but you can't book a table so have to take your chances. Food was delicious. Burger was very tasty and chips were very nice. All the food was well presented. Waitress was very attentive. The only down side to our experience was a discrepancy on the bill where we were overcharged for one item on the bill. However once this was pointed out it was rectified very quickly with many apologies. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Visited during the Rye Scallop Week and only got seafood plates with goat cheese salad. We went with Mussels as main, small platter squid, scallops and prawns.

We went to The Globe in Rye for lunch and I ordered first a glass of house red wine—only to be served something that was totally off and tasted like vinegar. When I asked the staff to replace it, they initially agreed, but then the owner stormed over, insisted there was “nothing wrong” with it, and even had the nerve to ask what I expected from a house wine!!! To make it worse, instead of offering a solution, he arrogantly told me that if I wanted good wine, he had plenty to choose from! Refused to replace it, showed zero customer care, and left us paying for something completely undrinkable. Absolutely shocking attitude. Never going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects even the slightest bit of respect or decent service.

Great find! Passed on the way back to our hotel and decided to stop as it looked good and was busy, always a good sign. Lovely table outside, with a great vibe. The seafood platter was fabulous and was also served up quite quickly. The staff friendly and responsive. The beers we tried were great, too. Will visit again before we leave.

On the way to the restaurant from town, pleasant to enjoy the scenary. Very unique place with christmas theme which is entertaining. It made me and my cute demure friends feel happier. Staff were friendly, joyful and attentive. The parsnip with gravy, fish catch on the day was seabass which is outstanding and sensational. Loved being there. Hope the restaurant experiend I had is the same to you as well. Enjoy it!
