I had a great time at the Gold Pan Saloon in Breckenridge! The atmosphere was lively, and the food was incredible. Brittany, our server, was fantastic—super friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended the Lamb Dip with garlic fries and a special sauce, and it did *not* disappoint. The flavors were amazing, and the fries were perfectly crispy! I paired it with a local Colorado beer on draft, which was a perfect match. To top it off, we finished the meal with their Crème Brûlée, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet ending. The only downside was the live music—it was a bit too loud for comfort. It was hard to have a conversation without raising our voices, which I think detracted from the overall experience. If they could turn the volume down just a little, it would make the atmosphere perfect. Despite that, I’ll definitely be back for the great food and the wonderful service from Brittany!

Not a great experience at this establishment. It started out just fine with our appetizer coming out in a timely manner and tasted good. We placed our dinner order and asked for no mayonnaise on the salmon. Entrees took a while to come out but understandable since they were getting busy. When the salmon blt came out it was covered in the spicy mayonnaise. We tried to wipe it off but the salmon was still too spicy to eat. They only had 1 server in the dining room so it took a long time to get his attention. He took the salmon back where I assumed they would make a new sandwich. Their solution to this problem was to place the sandwich on a new plate and send it back out assuming we wouldn’t notice. But since we are not stupid we did notice. Considering it only took two minutes to get the sandwich back and there was mayonnaise on the tomato it didn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure this mystery out. You need to do better. This is very unprofessional for your kitchen staff to do. If you have a chef he should be embarrassed their kitchen would do this. I recommend you skip this place and try a better establishment in town. There are to many in this town to waste your money here.

This place is so cool! I’m a history/haunted places enthusiast, so when I saw this was one of the oldest bars west of the Mississippi…I was in. This has the old west feel, with friendly staff, cold drinks, & delicious food. The bar is stunning & ornately designed. We went during lunch, but there is a smaller area for bands, & live music to play during busier evening hours. Would definitely recommend stopping in after visiting & touring the real mine—Country Boy Mine just up the hill, 8 minutes drive from The Gold Pan.

What a find!!! If you love over-priced, trendy, tourist-traps in Breck, then this is NOT the place for you. This is, however, a fantastic place for everyday people who like to eat hearty portions and not go broke doing it. The atmosphere is relaxed and cowboy-casual. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pancakes were great, the huevos rancheros were great, but my GOD, the garlic aioli on the burger was out of this world. 🤤 Bonus: the coffee (black) was good! It was strong and came with an adorable cream carafe. We did not order the breakfast burrito, but we saw several tables that did and it was massive. I'd easily consider this to be the best place in Breck to grab lunch at. It is perfect if you're passing through and want to sit, eat, and unwind a little.

Was not informed that there would be a $4 charge for ice in a single Jack Daniel’s, bringing the total cost to $15 per drink. So for 4 drinks between the two of us, yep, $60, before tax and tip. A bartender in Salida confirmed my suspicion: this is theft. Posting not to keep folks from visiting this very cool bar, but to urge whoever approved this pricing policy to end this deceptive practice. (After owner response below) Sorry I don’t know how to post a photo of the receipt, but I can assure you it was a line item. Also, I didn’t realize the theft until I was back in my room, or I would have told a manager. As the owner’s response indicates, denying what actually happened, buyer beware. And from where I stand, telling the truth, providing feedback, is not nasty.

Looks like this place has been here for a very long time, but this is what gives it character. Food was very good. Our waiter started out doing very good but towards the end kinda forgot about us. On the way out the bartender was over heard saying inappropriate jokes that were offensive.

Google
Sat outside for happy hour. Most disappointing happy hour experience with so many other great options. But, we chose here for just a super casual experience. We were hoping for a good glass of wine at happy hour prices, unfortunately none of the wine was priced on the menu, just stating $2 off/glass. Our glass was good, but was hh priced at $15, higher than the food we ordered! Our food, probably just a bad decision, was mediocre to poor in quality and portion. We had the hh side salad arrived with old tomatoes and wilted lettuce greens and a small taco, nothing special.

The waitress confronted me about not leaving a tip on my card. I've been a waitress, I much prefer cash. She said I split the check and you had excellent service, why did you not leave a tip? She also went across the table to get closer to me to say "Thank you", so sarcastically, in a very rude way. Made me extremely uncomfortable. I said you forgot my drink twice despite being asked and didn't bring another side even though that was asked for as well a couple times. She was extremely rude at the end of our time there, rolling eyes and talking about us in front of us, to other employees. Taking shots and talking to employees Totally recommend the food and drinks! But the service was far below average.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were in search for a place to eat dinner and came across the saloon. Upon entry you're able to seat yourself and a waiter will come greet you with menus once you're seated. The staff was fast and friendly! I ordered the mango mojito and the salmon BLT. My fiancé ordered a beer and the Gold Pan Chicken Sandwich. Prices were little higher than I expected but it was overall good! Welcoming atmosphere with a large bar and tvs around. The noise level is louder but nothing crazy. Would come back here!

Yelp
Fun Dive Bar just steps away from the slopes in Breckenridge. We had a great girls night out at the Gold Pan Saloon! Came in around 6pm on a Saturday after finishing a wine tasting next door. We heard there would be "live music". Apparently that means one guys with a guitar. The chips and queso were good and the drinks were strong so we stayed a while. Around 8pm, the musician put away his guitar and played his saxophone. We're not big Kenny G fans, so we left soon after. We had so much fun while we were there though.

Julia B.

Yelp
My friends & I had so much fun at this bar!! The atmosphere is perfect for apres ski. There is great beer on tap, football on the TVs, quick service, and awesome music. It can get a little crowded, but we were still able to snag a couple of bar seats while we ordered & a table for after. I would definitely go back if I find myself in Breck again! Food: N/A Drinks: B+ Service: B+ Ambiance: B+

Yelp
Beware of the "restaurant impact fee" that shows up with no explanation and no-one except the owner, who isn't there, can explain. Food was pretty good and service was good...except for not being able to explain the extra fee.

Nicolas L.

Yelp
This is a really cool spot. Really cozy and warm. Very cool historical decor and a very casual but comforting place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The servers were incredibly nice and very attentive. I had an issue with the cook on my burger and they quickly replaced it. The food was quite good. Very simple and classic food but done really well. The menu fit perfectly with the atmosphere being classic and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to sit back by a wood fire and hang out. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Ava S.

Yelp
Insanely good bar food. The honey mustard is absurdly good! The bartenders were lovely and loved the live music. Great spot!

Janet T.

Yelp
Planned on eating dinner here tonight. Giving them a second chance for those brussels sprouts. Walked into obnoxiously loud music. Like you would not be able to hear the person you were eating dinner with talking! We walked right out.

Emily B.

Yelp
Great spot! Loved the vibe of this place. A little dive bar-y, full of character, good service, realllly good food, and fair prices. What more could you want? We tried and liked: -Garlic Herb Fries - liked 'em so much we ordered 'em twice -Spanish Lemonade - Vodka, Wine, and lemonade. As Miley Cyrus (or was it Hannah Montana) once said, "You get the beeeeest of both worlds." -HOOSIER PASS CHICKEN SANDWICH - BIG YUM -Gold Pan Burger - Double Yum All in all, a 10/10 place in Breck.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Feb 11, 2023 Came in for a few beers, ciders, mimosa ciders, cocktails. We got the agave margarita and the pickle infused vodka garlic bloody Mary; so good Bought cheese curds and other apps I can't remember. Coming back tonight for live music and dancing

dr. L.

Yelp
This bar is pretty awesome. You can immediately feel the old mining town saloon vibe when you walk in the door. Elevated bar food and a wide variety of drinks, plus lots of live music in the afternoons and evenings. Super fun place to spend an afternoon after skiing the mountain!

Katie N.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick lunch in breck! Servers were very attentive and quick. Food came out under 10 min. Definitely would swing back!

Daniel Z.

Yelp
All I can say is make it for breakfast so you can try the green chili chorizo breakfast burrito. The burrito is huge and delicious. One of the better breakfast burritos I've had and I've eaten my body weight in breakfast burritos many times over. Place was packed and service was good for how busy they were.

Diane B.

Yelp
Cute little place on main street. Service was good. Beer was good. Truffle fries were good. Music was good.

Rich G.

Yelp
Live music is always a plus. Limited menu but the pub style food was good. Very casual. Fast and friendly service. Live music sold it for us.

Curtis S.

Yelp
Good beer list and fun vibes. Prices were good and folks inside were friendly. Great place to stop by for a quick drink or a later night. I didn't eat, so can't comment on the food.

Scott F.

Yelp
Great food - pork & chicken enchiladas w egg Pancakes Ribs, chicken tenders Great food, good prices and friendly prompt service

Shuné D.

Yelp
Shortly after our arrival in Breckenridge, Colorado, we were on the hunt for lunch and found this place. It was pretty crowded in there. You have to see yourself. We were lucky enough to find seating close to the entrance. Despite how busy it was in here, the staff was friendly and the service was not as slow as I thought it would be. The hoosier pass chicken sandwich (refer to menu) was amazing! I loved all the ingredients in there. The garlic herb fries are to die for! I don't think I've ever had garlic fries that good. I honestly thought the food here would be average, but they proved me wrong. This is based only on what I had and not from continual experience though. I'm sure every experience is different for different people based on what they order. We had a decent time here before heading off to explore the rest of the town.

Steve S.

Yelp
Great pub/restaurant! Great food! Staff was awesome! Highly recommend this establishment!

Dominica N.

Yelp
The service was literally quite the show. And the coffee cocktails are exactly what you need for apres. Probably my favorite bartender in town good old Saint Nick... and server Jacob.

Hayden B.

Yelp
Waitress was rude and service was slow food was so so definitively better places to visit in Breckenridge

Rachel S.

Yelp
Food was great. Good choices, good flavors. Service was fine, prompt, kind. Ambience: we went for lunch at noon. Music was so loud we had to yell at each other across the table to have a conversation. I get that it's a bar. But it's noon...

Tim O.

Yelp
An average ski resort nightlife venue with pretty good music. Hot inside and coats stacked 5 deep on the hooks. Most of the bar stools were occupied by belligerently drunk old men. I ordered ten shots when we walked in, then attempted to repeat the order 30 minutes later by holding up ten fingers and shouting "vodka," since the bar was then blocked by the drunk old men, but the bartender feigned confusion, walked away, and then ignored me for the rest of the night.

Christine B.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere! Great vibe. Food was ok depending on what you ordered. Burgers looked the best. Play the ring game while you are there and win a shot.

Sara N.

Yelp
Not a bad place but not really worthy of 5 stars either. The building is small but it's also 140 years old. The bathrooms are small and there aren't a ton of tables. They seemed to have quite a bit of options on the beer menu and the food menu was limited. Less choices means turning tables faster so no, I'm not opposed to it either. The food was good. Rainier beer is terrible. I only got it because I'm a Longmire fan and figured what the hell. It's similar in taste to Budweiser if you've never had it. We didn't stay for the live music either.

Joli B.

Yelp
Just had the best experience with Andrea! The music was what brought is in and we continued to jam! The food was awesome, service was impeccable, drinks were yummy, and atmosphere was amazing! My 65 year old dad and 7 month old baby had a blast rockin out to Korn love this place! Highly recommend!

Charles H.

Yelp
OLDEST LIQUOR LICENSE WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI - liquor just tastes better with history - grungy, dark, loud, perfect place to unwind - or, as in the past, have a gunfight.

Yelp
upon recommendation of our tour guide, my family went to dine for lunch today. We, however left after we were told pets were out on the patio. I told him, "the pet" he was referring to was a service dog. He then said, those go out there as well. So, after being discrimated against, we promptly left and ate elsewhere, where they were legally conforming and didn't hesitate to seat us. So dear sir, learn the laws that protect both me and my service animal before you are sued one day. We will never regret not eating here as i well NEVER take the time to explain to your ignorance how the law works and risk bad service or more. Touche Gold Pan Saloon and i highly recommend the Breckenridge Tap House just two doors down. Colorado Service Animal Laws Under federal law, service animals are protected under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Yelp
Nick is by far the Best Bartender in Breckenridge, he works Days and absolutely Loves his Job, he keeps the Clientele Laughing and enjoying there Cocktails and Food. He is easy to recognize, his Hawaiian Shirts will always make you laugh on any given day. Thanks Nick for all the good times.

Jorge G.

Yelp
Best hamburgers in Breckinridge. Great customer service and a piece of western history.

Addison C.

Yelp
In a word, it was adequate. The food was mostly adequate, the service was adequate, the location was loud without being overly so. The only thing that came close to competently made were their tacos, with everything else being mid tier. Given the location and the nearby competition, I would recommend eating at any of the nearby restaurants in Breckinridge instead.

eli M.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I got the cheddar cheese burger amazing great flavor and fries are amazing. Another member in my party got the Cobb salad with chicken which was amazing. The service was super friendly and amazing. The vibe is super relaxing and the outdoor seating is amazing. Recommend to anyone who comes to Breckinridge.

Dick T.

Yelp
Went in for lunch on a Saturday. Food was good. Service was good. I did not like the hidden fees. There is a 3.9% "Restaurant Impact Fee" that is on the bottom of the menu in the tiniest print possible. There is no way anyone will, and possibly could see it. I asked the manager about it when we got the bill. He insultingly said, " we have readers at the bar if you need them." Sorry, dude, any pricing should be at least the same print size as the rest of the menu. Then the when the bill was presented with the convenient tip percentage already calculated, those calculations were incorrect. Tips should be based on the food and drink amount, not including the tax and "Restaurant Impact Fee." We enjoyed a couple of other eateries in Breck, and they did not have the fee, plus they calculated the tip correctly. I suggest you take your business to someplace not so devious.

Kim D.

Yelp
Delicious food, quick and friendly service, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Everything we had was delicious, but my favorite were the sliders. We were able to choose a combo of three meats; goat, pork and chicken. The fries and burrata were also wonderful. We will definitely go back!

Stina L.

Yelp
Good environment, good food, the Hoosier grilled chicken sandwich is great. A little small but it's good if you go on the weekday.

Chandan K.

Yelp
It's a sort of historic place which still has bullet marks from the days of mining. The food and drinks are great and they have options for vegans as well.

Kelli U.

Yelp
Service poor, waitress was having a bad night. Beer was good, food was okay- really typical bar food. Atmosphere was okay, seems like the local hangout. Wasn't bad just wanted something different during our visit.

Maranda W.

Yelp
We called in for a takeout order on our way into Breckinridge and they were great and said it would be quick. We got there and I went in to pick it up, the bar was pretty packed and there were tons of people in there. The hostess brought me to the side of the bar to pay since I saw our food but I waited probably 20 minutes before the bartender even gave me the check to pay. I will say it was extremely awkward for me because they put me in a slot where the bartender was handing off drinks to the servers. I felt completely in the way and didn't really know where to go. The food was pretty good, we had a pulled pork sandwich and a burger. I honestly am not sure if I thought it was so good because I was also very hungry.

Erik N.

Yelp
Awesome. Drinks and apps were really good. Service was excellent and the music kicked ass!!!!

Robert M.

Yelp
Had the Lamb French dip, which was very good, and the Telluride Stout. Very good food. Kind of a sport bar. Connected to a wine bar next door called Carboy (yes that's the correct spelling).

Amy A.

Yelp
Our first visit to this spot and honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. My husband and I had an awesome spot outside on the patio, and our server was outstanding! The prices were very reasonable, especially for Breck. Can't wait to come back during snow season.

Alex J.

Yelp
Always a good place to stop and have a drink. Service is always good and the bartenders know their drinks. Good vibe in a historic bar.

Barry T.

Yelp
Nick. I'd give him 6 stars if I could. Best bartender in the 9600 ft. Club...... bloody Mary's are good

Dave O.

Yelp
Really nice wait staff. Didn't eat there but menue looked gastro. We will be back tomorrow.

Stephen H J.

Yelp
Great restaurant! We have eaten at all of the best places per recommendations for the last 10 days (of note Rootstalk, Tin pan, and Radicato), and this was one of our favorites. Awesome staff, great ingredients, and a great chef preparing food that way out punches their weight class. Great work Golden Pan, keep it up! Raul was especially awesome! He knows everything and has such an appreciation for how they do things.

Michael H.

Yelp
I like this little joint right on the strip in Breckenridge.. also one of the oldest bars in the area if that's what your trying to find! Small old bar and dining room pretty much sum it up.. the bartenders are great; college kids. Definitely good for a few beers and shot but the food can be hit or miss? I like going here at off times to avoid the "Bro Crowd" that happens at night. BYE!

Danielle P.

Yelp
So good we came 2 days in a row. 1st for breakfast for their enchiladas and huevos rancheros. Pickled vodka bloody Mary was on point. 2nd was for lunch and had their lamb French dip with garlic fries. Everything delicious but what I'd be back for is their garlic fries. Best fires I've ever had.

Lihi M.

Yelp
Went to the gold pan saloon and had a blast. No long wait, great service and awesome food!! Got the pan burger and French dip, was unbelievable. Got cider on the other hand.... Not so much :)

Mike G.

Yelp
Honestly, not sure what the hype is about this place. Prices seemed high for what you got in return. The stuffed jalapeño app gives you five bites, each maybe half of a small jalapeño. Decent flavor, I guess, but $9 for 2.5 jalapeños that aren't even stuffed with meat seemed high. My daughter had a cup of the French onion soup...good, but again, not worth $8. The happy hour special for the side Caesar salad was $5, and the size was decent, but it didn't really taste like Caesar dressing, and there was an overwhelming flavor in the croutons that was either paprika and other spices, or maybe bacon. We were all enthralled by the lamb dip sandwich. My wife said hers didn't taste like lamb. One daughter thought the lamb (instead of beef) didn't add anything to the sandwich. The other daughter thought hers was fatty, and mine was a bit dry but not terrible. For $16, not counting extra doe cheese on the sandwich and garlic on the fries, we weren't impressed. The hit of the dinner was the garlic fries. They were amazing. I only wish I had room to eat more of them. It was a really expensive meal, especially considering we didn't have any alcohol, and it really wasn't worth it.

Andres R.

Yelp
I've patronized this joint several times before, particularly during lunch time, and I had been pleased, so I brought my sister for dinner after attending a concert at the arts center. We were appalled by what we saw and the poor staff behavior. There was a rowdy customer, obviously inebriated, and disrupting other customers. He and his buddy decided to play a game of swinging a metal ring trying to snag a nail on a beam over the table were a couple was sitting, disregarding their safety, and they kept doing this until the couple moved away to another table. Neither the bartender or the waitstaff tried to control the situation, and allowed the disruptive behavior to continue. The couple that had changed tables soon left and another customer who had been seating close to the table in question also moved and was visibly upset. The bartender allowed the rowdy customer to go behind the bar, and I saw him serving another drink to this customer, who I surmised was his crony. I also observed our waitress socializing with the rowdy customer. I had ordered my $16 pulled goat burger well done and instead it was served medium. I left the raw areas behind but our waitress (named Colleen) didn't even noticed it, instead she was presenting me with a tab without giving me a copy of the bill. When I asked for the bill she showed me an electronic version, and I noticed she had self- selected a 22% tip after such poor service and such poor management of a rowdy and obviously drunk customer who essentially ruined the evening for us and other customers . I modified the tip to reflect my disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner after this experience.

Heather K.

Yelp
The fam and I swing through Breckinridge for the day. After some shopping we just kinda picked a place to eat since there's a lot of variety on that main street through town. This was a "guess this will do" option not knowing that once we made the short trek to that back patio and sat down at a nice little 4 top with an umbrella, that we would have some icy cold beers served from a super nice waitress. I went with the Gold Pan Burger and lord almighty was that literally the best burger I've had in years! All I could muster up with that first bite was an eye closed, shaking my head, and smacking my lips with the flavor coming out of that burger. Do yourself a favor next time you're in that part of CO, take a load off, sit out back and enjoy the beautiful skies of CO, drink a cold beer and enjoy every mouthful of that burger.
