The Golden Frog Inn

We started our travels in Panama at the golden frog after a traffic filled drive from Panama City and it felt like an oasis when we arrived. Our room near the pool was spacious and had an unexpected kitchenette. The room had a split unit which we appreciated and a nice outdoor seating area. The bathroom and bathroom door were a little tight but otherwise fine. The pool was clean and with a modern filter system. The in house restaurant was good and had the best tamales I have had. I use a wheelchair and travel with a strong husband and open mind. We knew we would have some steps to roll up and down and picked our room location to make it as easy as possible. Overall nice clean place with lush landscaping and nice rooms.

This inn was fantastic! My entire family enjoyed it very much, and my very picky parents were extremely impressed. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. The rooms are clean, there's hot water, soft towels, and great water pressure. They did have a few rooms that have king beds and great views, so if you need a little bit more space, that was a really good fit for my older parents who were traveling along with us. We also absolutely loved the restaurant on site, and it was a real treat to have something with such delicious food. Only steps away from our lodging. We have already recommended this inn to friends who will be coming to Panama in a month. I cannot recommend enough to stay here. I wish we had been able to enjoy for longer!

This was a perfect relaxing finish to our Panama trip. The hotel is really nice and has a restaurant with extremely reasonable pricing and a varied menu. You don’t need to leave if you don’t want to. The service was great and the grounds were beautiful. The pictures added are views from our room and from the hike we took on El Pasteur which has a trail head within steps of the hotel. The Golden Frog is a great home base for activities in the area and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the uniqueness and beauty of El Valle.

The hotel is beautiful and cozy. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a balcony/terrace with sitting area facing the gardens. The surrounding mountain view is breathtaking. ||The in-house restaurant was OK, but not spectacular. We had dinner there on our first evening, and breakfast was included, which was tasty with various options. However, we opted to have the rest of our meals in various restaurants in the town center.

Very clean, friendly staff who speaks English. They helped us set up tours and a massage and facial. Very cute pool and restaurant on-site. The breakfast is buffet and has many options. Dog friendly and very quiet and lovely area in general, I would come back!

We stayed for a few nights. Hotel is very beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very kind and helpful. We mainly hiked in the area which is beautiful. If you are looking for a place to stay while doing the same I highly recommend to stay here. The restaurant has a good selection of food options as well.

We had a wonderful stay here for 3 nights. The room was spacious with a beautiful outdoor space and the property is stunning. It is easy to get to hikes in the area and the restaurant is the best food we had in Anton. If you are looking for somewhere to stay The Golden spot is a wonderful spot.

Lovely hotel! The service was great from all the staff, the drinks and food were tasty and the rooms are large, comfortable and modern. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!
