A Wonderful Stay at Golden Wells Residence We had an amazing stay at Golden Wells Residence in Chiang Mai! The location is perfect — just a short walk from the city center, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and quiet. Our accommodation was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day exploring the city. One of the highlights was the breakfast — healthy, delicious, and made with fresh organic ingredients. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into everything here. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we were even greeted by their adorable dog, Harry, who made us feel right at home. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely stay again on our next visit to Chiang Mai!

We will probably be staying at this hotel every time we visit Chiang Mai. I highly recommend this place! It is located in a prime location, we walked to the old town and to the old temples and then walked around to the chiang mai gate and to the Saturday night market. Everything you need is in walking distance, as well as many tourist attractions. The room was spacious and very clean, the staff were super friendly and khun Narusa was an amazing lady. It was my husband's birthday, and she upgraded our room for us and left a special treat for us in the room too! We were there during songkran festival, and she also gave us these paper flags that you take to the temple and stick into sand castles for luck. Overall, everything was beyond our expectations! Don’t panic as you approach the small streets off the old quarter; the hotel is an oasis of calm quiet living, off the busy streets, close to the canal. |From the kind reception, the gracious advice, attentive service, clean, spacious rooms, and good bedding, our stay was a pleasure. The owners actually made box breakfasts for us because our tour pick- up was before their breakfast hours.|It’s low key but the location is great, a 2 minute walk from quality street vendors where you can pick up a meal for 2 to 4 can dollars. The night market is a short taxi ride away, perfect for your evening tuk tuk ride! Definitely recommend!

This is a very nice place to stay at. The residence is close to Chiang Mai Gate. We booked a room and there is only one entrance for our room. So, it’s quiet and private. Our room is room 1. It’s spacious and very clean. Just feel like home. The host is very nice and speaks good English.

Everything about this place is wonderful. Location is awesome. The hosts are the most kind and generous people, introduced us to a lot of places to visit when we arrive. The hotel is so beautiful, calm and peaceful. I would definitely come back again.

Lovely boutique run by Narissa and her family. My wife and I stayed at The Golden Wells residence for 6 nights during our visit to Chiang Mai, and were treated to lovely hospitality. The included breakfast was outstanding, facilities were clean, and the location was central within the Old City. I would highly recommend the Golden Wells Residence for your visit to Chiang Mai, and would love to stay here again when I am next in Chiang Mai.

When I was in Chiang Mai for a week in mid-March, I stayed in two hotels. Of the two, Golden Wells Residence was a clear favorite. The hotel is within walking distance of everything I wanted to see so I didn’t need a car. Narissa, the owner, warmly greeted me with fresh juice and thoughtful conversation, and after checking me in, she showed me to my room. It was a large apartment-style room with sleeping area, sitting area and kitchen area. The kitchen not only had a good-sized refrigerator, it had a stovetop and microwave, perfect for families whose children might need to eat as soon as they awake. In another thoughtful gesture, Narissa had made rice cakes for me to snack on. Breakfast is included and served 8:00-10:30, but can be served as early as 7:00. My choice for breakfast each morning was an egg dish, which was served with sides of potatoes, toast, fresh fruit and coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious. Throughout my stay, I had several opportunities to speak with Narissa, and she gave me good advice on what to do and see in and around Chiang Mai. If ever I come to Chiang Mai again, I will head straight to Golden Wells because it will feel like I’m coming home. One note: the entrance to the courtyard has a wooden crosspiece to keep the doors closed. The doors are not locked. You simply need to slide the wooden piece left or right until one of the doors swings open.

Fantastic location near Chiang Mai Gate, close to the morning market (at the Chiang Mai gate) and the Saturday Night Market. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. Morning breakfasts are a treat, and Narissa and the team are always ready to help with any questions—truly helpful and friendly owners with a great attitude! The rooms and overall space are clean, comfortable, and feel new, with no issues at all. Safe and quite at night with key attractions nearby - easy to walk around and it’s up market a bit but affordable - I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far, and the communication for booking and availability was smooth and efficient. Price: email the website address and ask Narrisa directly for the updated best price - I believe it’s good value for the package you get. Highly recommend! I’ll be back Narrisa.
