My husband & I just had our first stay here -- a 3-night retreat-getaway -- and it was truly a magical experience. The grounds are beautiful, a hidden oasis with a variety of lush trees, flowers and grassy lawn along with a myriad of song birds. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, our room was clean and nice, and the lunch prepared by Van was delicious! The water is hot (94 degrees in the big pool, 104 degrees in the small one) and healing -- we could feel the stress dissolving away. We spent most of our time in the pools, but also went for a nearby hike and met a friend in Palm Springs for dinner. After three days in this hidden paradise we feel relaxed, renewed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The Good House is an oasis! The landscaping is impressive. The trees provide a wonderful canopy from the sun and privacy from the street while the beautiful plants attract wonderful birds, making you forget that you’re in the desert. The grounds are amazingly serene with various places to lounge and relax, not to mention the natural hot springs pool is magnificent.||The staff is terrific. Van and Emily are very friendly, helpful, attentive, and accommodating. Van cooks tasty and healthful food, making it so convenient not having to leave and eat elsewhere. ||The rooms are on point. They’re clean, tastefully and minimally decorated, complete with a small toaster oven and mini fridge (with a freezer!), and quiet. We LOVED that the room is tiled, not carpeted, especially since we brought our dog.||We highly recommend The Good House will definitely return and make it our regular destination!

Just 10 miles east of downtown Palm Springs, “The Good House” is a hidden gem in Desert Hot Springs, CA. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway for the day, weekend or week this is your spot. This boutique hotel has so much to offer from the clean and comfortable rooms, to the lush beautiful landscape that includes a dry sauna, fire pit, pergola, outdoor covered patio with farm table, and my favorite the magical mineral healing hot springs pool and hot tub!|The Good House also offers spa amenities like massages, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, skincare treatments, reiki, and laughter yoga.|The staff at The Good House is friendly and helpful with any needs you might have. And what sets the The Good House apart from all the other hot springs hotels in the area is that they have a full kitchen with chef Van Stevens creating his seasonal farm fresh menus that are healthy and absolutely delicious! Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free modifications are available. Also, as a special touch, free fresh baked cookies are put out every day at 5pm. You can also order a variety of drinks including specialized coffees, smoothies, pressed juices, hand crafted cocktails and cocktails along with beer, wine and soft drinks.|If you need a break from your stressful life then The Good House is the place to go! You will leave feeling relaxed and recharged. And if you’re like me you won’t want to leave.

This place is an absolute gem! The hot spring pools in the shade of 70 year old trees are super cozy and the rooms are freshly renovated and comfortable. But what makes this place really stand out is the hospitality of the manager Van! He was super accommodating, a great chef and anticipated all our needs. 100% recommended and I hope we will be able to come back!

Loved my stay here over a weekend in April, a charming oasis in the desert. Van is a great host, morning coffee is great, the grounds are beautiful. I felt completely relaxed. I met a few other guests but it was overall quiet enough to listen to all the beautiful sounds of nature. I would love to come back.

Came for my sisters birthday just the two of us. There was an issue with the filters for the hot spring water which caused the water to be cooler than usual, & they upgraded us to the villa! A lot of room for just two girls and so wonderful. We spent most of our time outdoors which was so nice. We were very impressed with hospitality and happy with our stay(:

Easter Plans tossed by hotel............Incredibly disappointed to be treated so poorly after already TWO hotel stays in less than two years. We loved it, We told everyone about it. We couldn't wait to get back so when The Goodhouse themselves sent ME a CYBER monday sale email, I booked immediately for April since the offer was good through May 2025. I still have the email. But only two weeks before our APRIL trip, they just refunded my money I had already paid, and did NOT call me! I had to call and find out what happened. They said they DOUBLE BOOKED! How can that be when I booked back in DEC 2024! Way in advance! All they could say and do was offer us another gross hotel that did NOT compare and did NOT take dogs.... another reason we loved this location so much, my dog loved it and chilled with us and the staff loved him. We never did receive a valid reason but of course we figured out it was most likely due to COACHELLA events and some big rich daddy o walked in and the owner TOOK THE CASH over his clients. It's NOT a good look in the slightest since this is a fairly new black owned hotel. They literally kicked out 7 rooms with at least 2 people each.. so they kicked out 14 paying clients for some singer and her entourage most likely. I hope they use the dirty cash to fix all the issues this hotel has such as a bad door on the sauna, the firepit needs maintenance, ALL the cheap teak wood chairs are falling apart... the back patios all need refurbishing....BUT probably NOT. The only GOOD thing now I can say about this place is the staff. Emily is awesome.. the ladies who clean are so nice. The "chef" is very nice but the food is NOT as good as everyone says... Long story short.... They don't care about your reservation and will kick you out if some money is thrown at them. I'll be at the spa up the street from now on. They want my money!

Google
The Good House is a special place that I’m so lucky to have stumbled upon during my search for event spaces. The Good House is a secluded tropical oasis tucked away in Desert Hot Springs. This is a perfect place to connect with self, nature and healing waters. The culinary experience here is the cherry on top to an already amazing spa! Chef Ban served up some of the best food I’ve had in the area. He is a master of his craft. Each drink, plate and treat was creative and thoughtfully crafted. My partner and I are avid spa goers and this has become one of our favorites, we can not wait to return. I highly recommend booking a stay here. This is a magical place that will feel like home!

Yelp
Celebrated my husband's birthday by doing a couples massage and day pass at the Good House. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. We were greeted by Van who by the way had a welcoming smile the entire time we were there and went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our day. He is the definition of incredible customer service and the Good House needs to give him a raise! :-) The property is quaint, quiet, and relaxing. It was also not packed, there were three other parties with 2-3 people while we were there, possibly because it was a weekday too. Next time, we plan to do an overnight stay. For food, we ordered the pancakes, guacamole with chips & salsa, and the potatoes with Parmesan and truffle sauce. Pancakes were fluffy on the inside and had the most delicious buttery crispy exterior. Plus they were served with a side of ice cream!! If you are going to get anything from the menu, definitely do the pancakes. The Good House was a 10/10 experience and we feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Looking forward to visiting again.

Yelp
What a beautiful sanctuary and so peaceful. Happy to be soaking in the mineral spring water and it's such a great treat for only $60 all day long. Fresh food from Van who is a great chef and so hospitable. My friend and I needed this getaway to reset. I highly recommend. Book it goes quickly because it's a total gem of a place.

Yelp
The best place in Desert Hot Springs to spend a day or a week! Clean, friendly, great food and fantastic water!

Yelp
I booked a day pass to spend the day here while on a trip nearby. I was looking for a quiet and relaxing spa day and it was perfect. There are a limited amount of day passes that they allow so the property never feels too full and the pool is large with plenty of space. I came on a Wednesday and I didn't share the pool with more than 10 people at one time. The larger mineral pool is at a perfect temperature. It was in the low 90s and wasn't too warm and very pleasant. The mineral hot tub was very warm and felt great as well. I had the best massage I've ever had from Yessica. I get massages regularly but I was blown away by how great she was. I didn't need to direct her or even ask her to adjust her pressure. She knew exactly how much to work my muscles and where they were ailing. I highly suggest booking a massage with her if possible. Also ordered a delicious breakfast. The pancakes were just as good as everyone else has said and totally worth the calories! The property is beautiful and just a perfect way to spend a serene afternoon to just relax and pamper yourself.

Yelp
Alright, so you've heard of The Good Place, but now you gotta go to The Good House. It's a literal oasis in a hot desert. So whether you go with a day pass or spend a night or two, it's well worth the time. So for starters, this is a hot springs/spa house thingy. You have a 97ish degree hot springs pool and a 104+ hot springs tub, you feel real nice and refreshed after soaking in it regardless of the weather. If you want to spend extra, there's spas, massages, saunas available too. But frankly, I enjoyed the day pass and just soaking in the hot springs as is. Day pass is $60ish from 11-5pm. Alright, but lemme talk about the food. It's surprisingly really good. The good good plate is a classic breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, but heightened quality. The pancakes are crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside, it's heavenly. It's rate to find pancakes made like that so you gotta get a piece of that action. The shakshuka with a grilled cheese addon is a must too. It's just comfort on comfort. And man, I cannot get enough of the richness in the flavor here. I kept eating and eating even though I was full but whew it was worth it. So after bloating myself on food and soaking myself in hot springs I left about net even cause whatever weight I gained from food, I sweated off too. Either way, this is worth stopping by whether you're coming locally or from far.

Yelp
What a cute little paradise in Desert Hot Springs, my college/work friend and I came here literally on a whim just for day pass, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2-3 hour stay! You wouldn't expect to find such lush greenery with little cozy sections of natural hot spring water pools inside. My friend especially loved the big pool with floaties, she just laid there in the water under the sun the whole time, relaxing and enjoying herself. We also tried the small sauna, sweating in there and taking in breath of fresh air afterwards was so refreshing. For about $60 per person, we got lunch platters, a couple hours with full usage of the grounds, shower afterwards, and warm welcome from the staff members. How perfectly quiet and peaceful the whole experience was, I would love to come back some time again!

Yelp
The place is small but mighty. The workers are incredibly kind and make sure you are happy. The grounds were clean, the ambiance was pure bliss, zen serene. I did order the pancakes and it was 10/10. I did a day pass via resort pass and there were no issues.

Yelp
Came here for a short getaway vacation with my significant other. We had a couple of hiccups with our room but the owner was very helpful to make our stay enjoyable. She upgraded our room to the suite along with some additional accommodations. The sauna and hot tub with the mineral water was very relaxing. The breakfast here was delicious, especially the pancakes! I would recommend room 6 :)

Yelp
Had such a wonderful day there last year. Day pass was so worth it on a Monday- it was empty. Had delicious food, the frosé they offered was definitely more of a smoothie haha but it was good. Pancakes are the thing to get! Lovely service, great pools, gardens are peaceful. This is small boutique hotel and the property is nice but small. Definitely try to come on weekdays to feel less crowded. When I went, the sauna had a door you could barely get open to enter/exit because a tree was growing too close to it. I hope they can install a sliding door there instead for safety- we burned ourselves squeezing in against the hot door haha.

Yelp
This place is an oasis! Everything was absolutely beautiful; from the lounging areas to the pool. Their food is also delicious and they are very vegan friendly. We asked about substituting the eggs for one of the dishes and we were informed that the chef left the premises to buy vegan eggs for us! Everyone was literally so nice and welcoming, I would 100% come here again and try their spa services too.

Yelp
This was our second time staying at The Good House. Can confirm that our second experience was as good as our first. The entire space is well designed, serene, and welcoming. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have all the things you need. The pool & hot tub are so lovely and comfortable. While all of the staff is lovely and accommodating, Chef Van is such a delightful presence and fantastic chef. We checked out this morning and already can't wait to come back. Word of advice: order all of the food, everything is great.

Yelp
This spot blew me away with happy staff, who truly love what they do. Best deep tissue I've had in Palm Springs - and Emily at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate me - one of the best customer service at a spa I've ever experienced. Loved how dog friendly they were - was great to bring my little furry friend to lounge. Best pancakes of my life. Hands down. The Good House should be called THE GREAT HOUSE!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in Desert hot Springs. I'm here on a girls trip. There was about 20 of us. We rented the villa which has four bedrooms three Bathrooms and there's also seven bungalows. I can't say enough about the ambience the beautiful pools with the hot spring water. But the best part is the service. It's impeccable. There's a man named Van who does everything. He is a gourmet chef so the food was unbelievable. He made a special dinner for my girlfriend 60th birthday. The breakfast and the pancakes OMG! Trust me you have not tasted betterpancakes their homemade. It's farm to table so everything is fresh. But wait, my massage today was unbelievable. A nice small room. The bed was comfortable. The Massage Therapist was very very good. Highly trained and I just thoroughly enjoyed myself here and I'm definitely going to come back so if you're looking for a retreat day Spa please come to The Good house

Yelp
I like to wait a little before writing a review and then write what I remember the most from an honest POV; this review is based on my experience from July 30th, 2022 (yes, long due). The Good House is a wonderful place to restore, celebrate, spend quality time with friends -and make new friends. What I remember the most is the staff; Vanessa's smile and flexibility made our celebration that more special. I booked a day pass for me and three of my friends to celebrate my long awaited divorce; and celebrate we did! The property grounds are lush and well kept and designed to make you feel like you are away in your own oasis; Vanessa gave us a tour of the property and made us feel at home; we were treated to a delicious platter of sweets by the pool -compliments of the house Chef to complement our champagne, the food was delicious with a touch of elegance and good taste, and the service was excellent. Overall, The Good House is a small boutique hotel (only 7 rooms) with a natural hot springs pool in the city of Desert Springs, California (near Palm Springs) with an exceptional staff ready to make your stay a memorable one.

Yelp
Love it here, small and intimate so it gives you peace and quiet to relax by the pool. They have food and drink menu to allow for a full day by the pool.

Yelp
This is such a relaxing spot, even during the summer. The pool is amazing after an hours couple massage. Didn't try the food but the menu looked amazing and we did have Froze. People are also very friendly, I would make this a regular spot :) We also did not spend the night, just had a massage and used facilities!

Yelp
Spent the afternoon at The Good House and already planning a return visit. Less than a 30 minute drive from Palm Springs, the property is beautiful, private, and tranquil--almost feels like you're visiting someone's amazing desert home. We started our visit with some spa services (had a spectacular massage from Yessica) and then spent the day dipping in the spring-fed pool and hot tub. The waters are the perfect temperature and high in magnesium, which makes your skin feel so nice and really helps get you fully relaxed. Enjoyed a fantastic poolside lunch (delicious burger, fresh salads, smoothies, and too many homemade cookies to count). Katrina was a warm and gracious host who invited us to treat the place as our own for the day--and we did! Stayed for a beautiful sunset and then forced ourself to head back home, feeling totally blissed out and grateful. We'll be back very soon!

Yelp
Wonderful boutique hotel getaway for adults that are looking for a quiet, relaxing, and serene environment. Food and drinks were great, and service was phenomenal. Shoutout to Van, the chef for the great hospitality. Will definitely be back to enjoy this hidden gem.

Yelp
Loved everything about this spa! The atmosphere, decorations and staff were perfect for our relaxing girls weekend.

Yelp
I stayed here for a 2 night stay for my anniversary. This was the most amazing experience!!!!! The property itself is beautiful and just what we wanted. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We got to bring the pup and that was a must for our travels. The mineral pool was incredible. Also the chef the first night of our stay was so nice and the food was unreal!!!!! We only got breakfast but the pancakes were some of the best I have ever had! The room was small but perfect and cozy. Just needed to bring some wine glasses. WE ARE MOST DEFINITELY COMING BACK. Thank you guys for everything!

Yelp
We were looking to spend a good part of the day lounging in a genuine hot springs pool but didn't plan very far ahead - which turned out to be a good thing. We chose The Good House because of the springs and all the great reviews - and we were not disappointed! Wasn't sure what to expect given the change of landscape from Palm Springs, but as we approached The Good House, it was clear we were in the right place. Arrived at the welcoming gate of the walled-off property and were quickly greeted by their super helpful staff (embarrassed we didn't catch her name, but it was her 4th day on the job and we never would've guessed that). I got an incredible hour-long massage with Patricia, followed by a stint in the sauna (as long as I could stand) and dip in the jacuzzi - per her recommendation - and my wrecked body felt like melting into all the lovely little spaces they've built into this beautiful, intimate, and low-key oasis. The pool is amazing (especially if you find the spots where the water feeds in at the corners). Even though the wind was howling, everything on the property was relaxed and calm. I didn't want to get out of the pool, but a cozy little fire beckoned just steps away, providing another unexpected spot to bliss out. We had a great time and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Palm Springs, booking a room here for at least a couple of days to take advantage of the full experience. We've barely left the bubble of our hometown since COVID, quarantine, and the subsequent BS nightmare hellscape of the past couple of years, and this was the ultimate washing away of all of that. Easily one of the best experiences of our vacation. This is a very Good House :) Thanks!!

Michela C.

Yelp
The staff at the Good House were friendly and accommodating through our whole experience. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. The food, spa treatments and grounds are 10/10!

Alyce L.

Yelp
From the moment I was greeted at the gate . . . my experience could not have been better. A quick tour around the grounds and the many amenities (warm springs pool, hot tub, and sauna) and I was off for a combination treatment of a massage and a facial. The massage was a deep tissue workout - precisely what I needed - yet Stephanie was willing and capable of administering any style from deep Swedish or a light relaxing massage. Stephanie was both my masseuse and the esthetician who gave me my facial. Having her for both made my time with her seamless--no changing rooms, etc. Now . . . Stephanie is quite the genius when it comes to the body. She is an intuitive soul who 'feels' what you need and works to relax, heal, soothe . . . whatever your body needs. I am in my 70's - I rarely think I will get any surprises, but my facial was brilliant. Stephanie used high-quality lotions and several techniques from her years of working with clients. She choose what was best for my dry, and aging skin and when I left, my skin reflected her expertise. It felt softer and smoother. This was definitely an anti-aging treatment. LONG review! And I haven't hit on the relaxing afternoon that followed my treatments. There is just something peaceful about The Good House - that makes you want to do exactly what you came for . . . get pampered and then relax in the pool, hot tub, and sauna. I didn't plan on lunching there but the menu looked so good! It didn't disappoint. I had THE BEST grilled cheese with caramelized onions, a lightly dressed salad, fresh fruit - and yes! The Good House bottles an eponymous rosé to further add to the relaxation. By the time I had lunch, a siesta was in order. The rustling of the palms in this wonderfully landscaped spa lulled me to sleep. This was an afternoon that I wanted and didn't think would be possible so close to Palm Springs and yet I felt transported far away from the hustle and bustle.

Yelp
I love, love , love the good house, what an amazing spot to relax and recharge! I recommend it. Vanessa accommodate all my needs since I had knee surgery and I'm walking with a walker. All the paths are handicapped accessible, so hands down the best!!! I celebrated my birthday and they rand the bell, which was so sweet. Love their rose, a must try when you go there.

Yelp
Vanessa and the team were AMAZING!!!!!!!! From the moment we entered The Good House, to the time we left, we felt AMAZINGLY taken care of. We found The Good House via Google. We went there for under a Day Pass. We will be back again, this time to stay in the hotel! Thank you, Vanessa & Team for all of your HARD and AMAZING work!

Yelp
Fabulous experience - thank you Van for the wonderful food and experience. This property is magical, the mineral waters kept hotter than a lot of other spas in the area, and in my opinion part of the allure is the intimate b&b type of environment - i.e. not jam-packed with loads of people. Day pass is so worth it.

Yelp
Buzz at the gate to get the code. Meander by the pool to the room with the stained glass window behind the communal table to check in. There is 1 pool and 1 hot tub- Both are heated. There are only pool noodles and they don't support heavy weight. High winds blew all kinds of leaves and such in the pool so it wasn't clean on our stay & it had lots of dead bugs in it. Beware of red ants, flys, and bees as there were many around. So many flying bugs in the yoga grass area it would not be relaxing to do anything over there unless you don't mind that. Stake your spot early if your planning to tan. There's only 4 good chairs that get sun. Cameras are all over the property once you step out of your room. Some towels are old with holes and stains on them. Only coffee (creamer is provided, even dairy free), tea (Bigelow), and spa water (with grapefruit and rosemary) is provided. They were nice to get us some ice when they were out of it. The room #4 has plates, bowls, tea kettle, silverware, cups, wine opener, toaster, pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper, fridge, and 4 burner cooktop. No Bathtub! No major issues I've just been to the Springs next door and prefer it.

Yelp
This place is nice and quiet. The room was very cozy and you can order food to your room. The food was amazing! Chef Vann was a delight and 5-star chef. Everything on his menu is worth the trip alone. The hot springs swimming pool was lovely. I think the temperature was 75 naturally. The hot tub does get HOT- crazy hot. This place has nice hide-a-way area throughout that you can sit and enjoy a book. Grass area for yoga and a community outdoor dining table for conversation with the other guests or guests that purchase a day pass. Massages are offered as well. Short drive to downtown Palm Springs. Rite-Aid nearby. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We had such an amazing time at The Good House. The entire team was so helpful, friendly, and great in each of their roles. The juice was delicious, the facility was so cute and nice, the massage was incredible. Would absolutely come back!

Yelp
Lovely and relaxing. On our third stay here it was fun to see recent updates in the room while the pools and beautiful gardens remain as wonderful as ever. Staff were attentive and friendly. Already looking forward to next time!

Yelp
My husband and I were here for a weekend in October and wow, this is an amazing property and B&B! We booked our 2nd stay for New Year's! + Pool = great temperature + Jacuzzi = hot + A lot of green on the property, fruit trees, fire pit ... + They have a wonderful kitchenette outside + Code for the room, so you don't need to carry your key contently + Towels outside to take +/- The only thing that was less for us personally was breakfast. They could provide some more choices. We've been to a couple of B&Bs in the area and this one is one of the best.

Tanya F.

Yelp
This past weekend we stayed at The Good House and had a wonderful visit. The hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway and the hot mineral spa and pool had us sleeping like babies. We were so relaxed while lounging at the pool. I have to say the best part of our stay was the gracious and overly accommodating hosts (Van and Dan)! They both went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing! Be sure to check out The Good House!!

Yelp
Five stars alllllllll the way around! Very peaceful and the food is delicious! Perfect way to reset, healing waters, good food, rose, homemade cookies, Fresh spa water... the list goes on and on

Yelp
This place really speaks to the soul. The food is incredible. The rooms are super comfortable and a vibe. The pool is a vibe itself. So nice to have the hot springs right there! Can't wait to go back?

Yelp
My parents, sisters and I had a great day at the spa last week celebrating my 50th birthday. The pools were clean and so relaxing. Grounds are beautiful, and vibes were perfect. Emily took care of us - gave us a tour of the facilities, took our food and drink orders, and even gave us a complementary bottle of wine for our celebration! Ruby gave me a great massage, and Flor was so friendly when bringing us our food. Would love to come again and spend the night!

Yelp
We highly recommend The Good House! Vanessa is such a wonderful host and took great care of us. We loved how relaxing and laid back The Good House is. They offer breakfast/lunch and drinks but we also appreciated that each room has a kitchenette and you can cook or bring your own drinks to the pool (just no glass!). The mineral waters were so nice to swim in and relax in. The property is stunning and there are many areas to relax - poolside, at the hot tub, sauna, fire pit, around the water features, and a lawn area for relaxing or yoga. The Good House is surrounded by large, beautiful trees that provide shade and make the location feel private. It is about a 20 minute drive from plenty of great restaurants in Palm Springs so we enjoyed dinners there. All of the rooms are in the same "house" near the hot tub, we enjoyed Room 4 but feel they are probably equal (there really isn't one room better than another, which I was curious about when booking and Vanessa was kind enough to do a video call and show me around!). You can hear some noise from the hot tub if people are in there, but with only 7 rooms the guests are all cordial and stay quiet so it wasn't a big deal. It felt like we were all guests at an estate. The rooms are very quiet, we couldn't hear anyone in the rooms on either side of us. For breakfast I had The Good Good and it was so good, I've never had better pancakes (they were small and delicate, which I appreciated, with a berry compote and whipped cream!). Thanks Vanessa for hosting us, we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Would give this place 4 stars but their were a few kinks on my visit. Went for just an overnight trip with my sister and were drawn to this cute boutique hotel due to the lush landscaping, mineral pool and the fact it was adults only with 7 rooms total on property. Because their are only 7 rooms make sure to book early, I happened to get lucky and snag a room at the last minute. Room was about 254 a night and they charge 100 for incidentals but say they return it. Still haven't gotten it back though they said it be a few days later. Anyways make sure to check your email as they will send you instructions upon check in. (There is a code to get through the front gate because it's locked.) After we figured that out we went to the front desk to check in. Lady was nice but kinda strange. We were the only two on the property in our twenties so I feel like we were discriminated. She told us not to smoke or we would be charged even on our patio because the owners are constantly checking the cameras. (We don't even smoke so we thought it was super strange she brought it up just to us because the older couple in front of us didn't get a lecture). I was also told via booking online we would get a free breakfast in the morning. However the front desk lady argued with us and said no we would have to pay extra although while booking it said it was included. We also booked a massage for the following day but my sister's masseuse canceled therefore her time was pushed ahead. Because of this we asked for a late checkout at 12, she said no but then finally agreed since the time issue was not our fault we could checkout at 12 no charge. We finally were then lead to our room, a cute space with a queen bed, desk, Lil lounge area, TV, fridge, hot Plate cooker, and bathroom with shower and toilet no bath. There was also a super cute patio with an outdoor table and chairs and hammock. Bed wasn't very comfortable and was warned by front desk lady to not shut the back patio door all the way when outside or we could get locked out lol. Walls are also very thin and although everyone was very quiet on property you could hear every toilet flush and conversation coming from the rooms next to you. After checkout me and my sister got in our swimsuits and hung out by the pool and hottub. All was good except when the front desk lady returned and said we needed to switch rooms because she made a mistake and put us in the wrong room. I was confused because we were placed In room 2, which is what room it said we would be in on the online reservation. She said that no we would have to move and even offered to move our stuff for us which I definitely wasn't going to let happen. I showed her my online reservation and finally agrreeded to let us stay after trying to kick us outta the pool and change rooms. Kinda annoying! Other than that we wnjoyed the rest of our stay. We loved the pool and jacuzzi as well as the little fire pit area and sauna. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves and liked how it wasn't crowded like a typical resort. My facial and massage were excellent too and my sister enjoyed her scalp rub. Check out was also an easy process and can be done by your phone. I probably wouldn't return here to spend the night again I think the prices are a bit steep for the lack of amenities such as a bar or even a restraunt to dine in. Also landscaping could be kept up a tad bit better. Totally worth it for their day passes though if your looking just to getaway for a few hours and relax. They also say they allow dogs but I would advise against it. Owners seem a little neurotic about their property already and I feel like dogs would add more stress than fun their sadly.

Yelp
A great little boutique hotel. Food, amazing. Spring fed hot tub, amazing. Staff, amazing. Location, meh. But that's ok because you never want to leave this little oasis.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Immaculate conditions. The ability to bring your behaved pet is a game-changer. Overall 10/10. We will definitely come back soon!

Yelp
Nice little spa. But I'd go only as a day guest. The place was a bit disheveled for those staying there (March '23). The woman in charge didn't know how to turn the heat on in our room (it was cold one day) but rather than fixing the problem she played around with a remote than announced "it's fixed," when it wasn't--and she knew it. She also blamed us when we were locked out of the inn one night at 11 pm. Numerous guests were locked out each day/night because there was clearly something wrong with the key pad. But rather than just, hey, getting it fixed, the manager accused us of not doing it right. Well, I guess no one was doing it right. Who needs this? There are lots of other places in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about my experience at The Good House! As first time visitors, we were greeted at the gate by Chef Van and given a tour of the property and a brief background on the hot springs and resort. There are only 7 rooms and day guests are allowed on premises from 11-5, so the pools stayed quiet and enjoyable all weekend. The bigger pool remained at a temperature that somehow felt perfect no matter when you went in, and the hot tub was the ideal temperature to unwind in at the end of the day. Another guest had a very well behaved dog, which I enjoyed seeing! The room was super clean and cute, and also had a good air conditioner. The real stand out though, was the food prepared on site by Chef Van. Every meal he crafted was more delicious than the last. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and you can clearly taste the love Van has for them, and the people he's serving them to, in each bite of his perfectly curated plates. I'll never look at pancakes the same way again! (I wish I had gotten pictures because the food was as beautiful as it was flavorful, but I couldn't resist eating it as soon as it was served!)

Yelp
If they would let me move in here, I would. It was such a calm and welcoming environment. Staff were skilled at what they did and created a friendly environment. Drinking rose and reading a book poolside was the ideal girls weekend activity. Already making plans for the next trip!

Yelp
Adorable 7 room hotel. The staff was fantastic, welcoming and the menu for a relaxing pool day was perfect. The reclining pool chairs were in high demand but there were plenty of other places to sit. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
This place is awesome. Probably the best place to stay in all of Desert Hot Springs. A perfect little oasis. We barely (and happily) left the property over three days (except to hit dirt roads on the motorcycles). Super quiet. Room was lovely. Mineral pool and hot tub were hard to leave. Top notch customer service from Vanessa, and Chef Van took care of all our dining needs (Thanksgiving dinner was tasty). Highly recommended. We will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I had the best weekend at this little charming place. It was quiet, relaxing, and clean - everything we were looking for. A hidden gem for sure. The gentleman working during our stay was so kind and attentive. I recommend "the good good" breakfast plate - best pancakes I've ever had.

Yelp
Loved our first visit! The grounds are beautiful and the pools feel incredible. Replace the beds (super squeaky) and we might just never leave.
