Stayed here for the first time, some aspects are a bit tired and could do with an update as for the price of my stay I didn't expect threadedbare carpets! Another coffee machine at breakfast would be useful as waiting to get a coffee which you make yourself was a bit frustrating. Staff and service were excellent as was the meals I enjoyed here, great dinners and breakfast.

We had a one night stay recently whilst we were experiencing some very hot weather. Whilst the pool was a welcome ( if crowded) place to cool off, the air conditioning in our room just wasn’t up to the job. I complained about this at reception but was told there wasn’t really anything that could be done as it was hot and everyone using the a/c was putting a strain on their system. I thought this a bit of a poor excuse, and one that really didn’t help. I was offered a fan for the room, which was no use, as fans just tend to move already warm air around. We had been looking forward to spending a cool night in a comfortable room and I am afraid we didn’t get this. A hotel that boasts about its luxury really needs to ensure that its air conditioning actually lives up to this branding, especially as English summers seem to be getting hotter and more humid. The room we had was fine apart from this, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service prompt. But I’m not sure I’d want to come here again if the weather is hot and there’s no guarantee that their a/c is not adequate.

We stayed Saturday night in a character room which was lovely and had great views over surrounding fields. It was very busy parking at first as three weddings on! But we did not see any of this and did not disturb us. Swam in the pool which was good. we ate in the restaurant - its a very meat orientated menu but luckily they had cod on so my wife had that. The other restaurant/bar closes at 6.30 and the kennels were closed for a function so our options were limited. Service throughout was exceptional and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We attended a family lunch (approx 20 of us) at Farmer Butcher Chef. The staff were incredibly tentative and the food was delicious. The children and dogs were also made to feel very welcome. We later retired to the cottages over the road and enjoyed a garden party. The accommodation is heart warmingly homely and clean as a whistle. The ideal place for our family to celebrate a special occasion.

We were really looking forward to our stay at The Goodwood Hotel. It advertises a relaxing pool and spa area. I booked it to have a night away whilst my special needs son was in respite care so that we could have a break and time to relax. We arrived at the pool area which is lovely and big with lots of seating. However, it was packed with children screaming and jumping into the pool splashing us constantly. There is a sign saying no diving or water bombing, but there was no one to stop them. Only after booking (and not able to cancel) are you informed that the family swim time is between 12-6pm. As a teacher I love children, however, I wanted a chance to relax which was impossible. I have now read on previous reviews that the hotel suggests going at quieter times such as not in the school holidays. This is not suitable for everyone especially teachers like myself. |The beds are very comfortable and I woke up hoping to enjoy the last part of the break at least. Unfortunately we did not enjoy breakfast. We sat down and had a look at the menu given to us. I couldn’t see any tea making facilities or staff to ask. I walked around and another guest showed me where to get tea at the back of the restaurant. When I got there the hot water urn had run out and there were no tea bags left. The staff were extremely polite when I asked for water and teabags. There were also no teaspoons, places to put your used teabag or milk in the drinks area. You needed to get milk from the breakfast area and I had to tell other guests where it was, showing that everyone was confused. |After hoping for a relaxing break I have come home feeling angry that I have wasted my nights respite and a lot of money for what we had. |I feel that The Goodwood Hotel should make it clear that the spa area has an extended family swim time and therefore is not a spa for relaxation.

Don't waste your money The Goodwood Hotel is NOT on par with the rest of the Goodwood brand it's more Motel than Hotel. Despite paying upwards of £350 for a suite the bathroom was dirty with broken loose tiles on the floor. Another guest was complaining about ants in their room. The Farmers restaurant is a joke terrible service at dinner £45 for a cold steak and when asked if it could be warmed up it came back cold again. No bar staff in the bar waited for 20 mins for someone to turn up. Save your money and stay somewhere else this place is for people doing flying and track days or on a corporate day. Shamefully bad!

My sister and I had a lovely stay at this hotel recently.|It really is an excellent all round hotel, golf, leisure n spa, |good bars, restaurants and lounges. Lovely outside spaces, and good parking facilities with plenty of electric, charging points and parking for the disabled.||We took my 2 dogs with us and they were made very welcome, 10 out of 10 for being a proper dog friendly hotel. They were allowed in the restaurants and bars and access to outside areas also. Dog beds, poo bags and bowls were also provided. ||The breakfast was outstanding, as were all the staff, but particularly the breakfast team. Big shout out to Cassie, Holly and Claire. Very professional and friendly. Also good vegetarian and vegan breakfast choices.||My only criticism would be the Wi-Fi was pretty nonexistent for me where our room was located. This was quite an issue because I need access to emails at least a few times a day. Unless I went out of my way to drive somewhere with better signal I had little or no Wi-Fi. For up to 24 hours at one point. ||I did speak to the reception staff a couple of times and they had arranged to speak to one of the technical team. But unfortunately they couldn’t help. And said they hadn’t experienced any other complaints. Luckily a passing staff member said he had the same trouble trying to get Wi-|Fi so it wasn’t just me!||That was my only issue and if you don’t need to be contactable via email, it probably wouldn’t matter. Although I found it surprising as they have quite a large conference center.||But I would definitely recommend this hotel for all of the positive points I’ve made.

Here for a family wedding. The hotel is clearly in need of refurbishment as it is looking very tired. Clearly the setting is lovely and the hotel could be lovely. I was also disappointed with the level of service. The rooms were basic and housekeeping was disappointing, not what I would have expected at all.
