The Gordon House Hotel

We were visiting from the US with 2 young kids. They were very accommodating and gave us a room which did not get any noise from the restaurants below. Our parents visited us at the hotel often and they allowed that as well. Service was quick and they responded positively to everything we needed. The location of the hotel is fantastic and highly recommend

This hotels biggest pro is the location - just around the corner from iconic Cafe Mondegar, and three minutes walk to Gateway of India. We also loved the suite, where we have stayed every time in this hotel. Gorgeous rooms and a magnificent bathroom. But there are some major issues with staying at this hotel. If you are an early riser, be aware that you will probably not get any sleep before the nightclub on the first floor closes at 01 in the morning. The bass rumbles through the entire building where you almost vibrate in the bed. If not, the pigeons in the ventilation ducts will wake you up. The wifi network also comes and goes, but that`s India for you. And the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The breakfast plate are supposed to be eggs, toast, hash browns, beans and bacon, but you are lucky if you get four of these five items - this morning I got three out of five. Only one type of juice - water melon - or you have to settle for water. The breakfast should be until 10, but if you arrive after 9.30, there is probably not much left.

Recently stayed at Gordon House Hotel, Mumbai, and overall it was a very good experience. The rooms were clean and thoughtfully designed, with everything placed smartly for convenience. The housekeeping team did a great job in keeping the room neat and tidy throughout my stay. A special thanks to Praveen, who patiently explained the room types and ensured a smooth check-in experience. The hotel’s location is excellent — within walking distance to the Gateway of India, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. The only drawback was that the rooms do not have windows, which makes them feel a bit closed in, and they tend to get super chilly. The breakfast was good, though I feel the options could be improved a little. Overall, I’d rate my stay 4 out of 5. Would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, service, and prime location.

Loved this small hotel in Colaba. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Such friendly staff even for late night check-in. Varun took good care of us and was so friendly. We had an early flight and he arranged a to-go breakfast for us. So sweet! Highly recommend this place and excellent location.

A mediocre hotel at best. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. The A/C comes from the washroom so that door always has to be open. The bar on the 1st floor can be heard from the fourth floor all the way throughout the night. Don't stay here if you want a good night's of rest.

A lovely, clean and comfortable hotel in a fabulous location. Efficient and friendly staff and a great breakfast.|We were on floor 3 and found the music from the nightclub (floor 1) to be a little intrusive but actually we slept through it really well all 3 nights of our stay. So bring earplugs and relax.

Our US group enjoyed their 3 nights stay at your hotel.|Amazing thing is that perfect coordination of reception team, bell boys , security, all worked together and transfered our bags from bus parked at busy road along. I can never imagin how they did it.||With perfect coordination and team spirit, it was possible. Hats off.||House keeping was fantastic.||Discotheque were noisy to many rooms, but rest were extremely comfortable.||Lobby snd Reception team Mr, Varun, Mr.Vijay and rest of the team did their best to make the stay comfortable. Thankyou so much.

Tip. Unless you can sleep through thunderous base noise, don’t book this hotel because there is a disco that will make it impossible to sleep. It is too bad because the hotel’s location would make it an ideal candidate for someone looking to be in the heart of Mumbai.||I am currently a guest in the hotel and it’s midnight. The staff is very gracious but they can’t do anything about the noise. And, all rooms are booked.||I am sorry to say this is the first 1 star rating I’ve given. But one goes to a hotel to sleep. Unfortunately that’s not possible here.
