My stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was absolutely magical! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how perfectly maintained and spotless everything was. The attention to detail in keeping the resort pristine is unmatched — every corner sparkled, and it truly felt like stepping into a dream. One of the most memorable touches was the incredible scent of gingerbread wafting through the air. It instantly created a warm, inviting, and festive atmosphere that made the whole experience even more enchanting. Between the elegant décor, the relaxing spa vibe, and the sheer beauty of the resort grounds, it’s the kind of place you never want to leave. The Grand Floridian is pure Disney luxury at its finest — clean, elegant, and filled with those little touches that make your stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to return! 🌸✨

Very peaceful and calm place for anywhere on Disney property. The spa is kind of tucked away to the side of the front of the Grand Floridian Resort and is a wonderful little retreat. Very nice and spacious facility with high-end amenities. Would highly recommend. :)

The spa at The Grand Floridian is peaceful, relaxing and adds in a sprinkle of the Disney magic throughout your experience. The tired feed rejuvenation was wonderful! The amenities of steam room, hot tub, and heated chairs were a great touch to start and end your service with. Loved the touch of picking out a stone when you first arrive and placing it in the garden to resemble the mood of your room with lights, etc. A great afternoon was spent and would definitely recommend!

Staying at the Grand never disappoints. A five star experience from check in to check out. The staff is always engaging , helpful and caring. On this visit we stayed in the Sugar Loaf building which was just recently refurbished. Amazing job! Beautifully appointed with all the amenities expected in a five star property. Excellent proximity to the main pool and well as the Gasparilla Grill. Major renovation now being performed in the main building. Construction walls as well as building scaffolding are in place. No noise disruption or any inconveinance whatsoever to the guest experience. The Grand is still the grandest of all Disney resorts. Does not disappoint

We did not use the spa but the gym attached to it is really first class. The place is very clean, wiped down constantly and with clean towels always available. The equipment is in great working condition and plentiful enough that you never have to wait on anything.

I had an amazing time, the spa amenities are wonderful and peaceful. My nail tech was experienced and so kind. I really enjoyed my time… nice break from the parks on a rainy weekend. Will 100% be coming back on future trips… would like to get a facial next time!

I booked a manicure at the spa when I was there at Disney World recently and it was absolutely awesome! I believe the nail tech's name was "Maria." My nails have never looked better, cuticles groomed meticulously, shaped perfectly, etc. She was so kind and nice to talk with, too. I opted for gel polish, which I only do about once every few years, for special occasions, because gel usually wrecks my thin nails. Maria did an amazing job, and my gel lasted 2 weeks, which is a week longer than gel polish usually lasts on me. When I removed it yesterday, my nails weren't messed up at all. They use the CND gel system, maybe that's the trick? I'd go to this place once a month if I lived in the area. Alas, I live in the midwest. If I ever return to Disney World, you can bet I'll make time for another manicure with the same nail tech. Oh and the atmosphere there is magical, peaceful and beautiful! 12/10 recommend!

We absolutely love the Grand Floridaian Resort! The grounds are beautiful, staff is amazing, location cannot be beat on Disney property, transportation options are great and of course the service is always amazing! In the past we've rented pontoon boats and sea racers from the marnina on property as well (pre covid). There are plenty of activities on site just as there are at other resorts on property. There are plenty of food options to choose from. There are also multiple gift shops. We stayed in the Big Pine Key building this stay.b Perfect view of the electric water parade and even the fireworks. There are plenty of quiet places to hang out and relax or read a book as well. Rooms are well appointed and provide most items you'd need for your stay! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Grand Floridian Resort is SO worth the splurge! We rented DVC points to help get the cost down and it paid off. During the holidays, this place is so magical. The main resort lobby is bustling with holiday decor, large trees, and a real gingerbread house! The front desk staff was phenomenal as they ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay! They even arranged a bellhop to drive our luggages to our room and we of course went along for the ride. Our water view room just brought everything together. Every night, we would rest on the balcony after a long day and just enjoy the sounds of the water and the nightly firework shows from Magic Kingdom. This place is truly exceptional. The vibes were definitely giving Hamptons and old money New England. This was such a great experience and I can't WAIT to stay here again (if I can lol)

Yelp
We visited Disney's Grand Floridian Resort during the holiday season, and it was absolutely magical! Even though we weren't staying at the resort, the experience of walking through this elegant property decked out in holiday splendor was unforgettable. Highlights of Our Visit: 1. The Majestic Christmas Tree: The towering Christmas tree in the lobby was breathtaking! It was beautifully decorated with sparkling ornaments and lights, creating the perfect festive atmosphere. It's a must-see for anyone visiting Disney during the holidays. 2. The Life-Sized Gingerbread House: The gingerbread house was the highlight of our visit! The craftsmanship was incredible, and the smell of gingerbread filled the air. We even purchased some delicious holiday treats from the shop inside--it was such a unique experience. 3. Luxurious Holiday Decor: Every corner of the resort was adorned with elegant holiday decorations. From the wreaths and garlands to the twinkling lights, it felt like stepping into a Christmas fairytale. 4. Live Music: The live piano music in the lobby added an extra touch of magic. Hearing holiday classics in such a grand setting made the visit even more special. 5. Easy to Access: The resort is just a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom, making it a perfect stop for a holiday visit. Pro Tips: * Take your time exploring the lobby and admiring the details of the gingerbread house. * Grab some gingerbread treats--they're worth it! * Visit in the evening for a cozy, twinkling atmosphere. Even though we didn't stay at the Grand Floridian, visiting during the holidays was a magical experience we'll never forget. It's the perfect spot to soak in Disney's holiday charm and feel the festive spirit! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Yelp
Heads up - if you are disabled and trying to get to a car parked far away, the attendants WILL NOT help you. I visited with my mom and we were trying to get to her car parked across the street. They refused to get her a transport and said we should leave her alone (not an option) and have someone else go fetch her car. Seriously? They said the golf carts would come around every 5-10 minutes - we waited for almost 20 before we left and walked to car. Do better Grand Floridian. We paid a ton of money for horrendous service. I hate to have e to tell everyone that one of the most expensive hotels is not ADA friendly.

Yelp
This hotel is worth the splurge in Disney World! If you want to stay on property, there is nothing quite like staying here. It is full of magical touches and the hotel lives up to it's name... it truly is grand!! The rooms are recently re-done and they are Mary Poppins themed. They have 2 pools, many sit-down and quick service restaurants, shops, and the Enchanted Rose bar. It is also right on the monorail and one stop away from Magic Kingdom! The cast members here really go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Every time I have stayed here with my family, we have had an amazing time!

Yelp
The Grand is one of my favorite resorts to visit during the holiday season! I love coming to look at the gingerbread house and enjoy the shops and restaurants. I was happy to see it looks like Victoria & Albert's is open again, so I will be making plans to have a special dinner there. My friends and I tried to wait in line at the Enchanted Rose for a drink but by the time we arrived, the bar would've been closed based on the wait ahead of us. We were still able to enjoy ourselves regardless prior to taking the monorail back to our main destination.

Yelp
We stayed here once and visited many times to dine or to see the holiday decorations. While it's a nice hotel it's pretty tame in terms of excitement and energy more reminiscent of a Sonoma spa day. The enchanted bar is a great addition but not having the band play on the mezzanine was a tragic loss. We did enjoy the couples massage ouch! and the gym is pretty good. It's my 3rd or 4th choice of Disney hotels but that's just my preference. The service and ambiance are top notch representing Disney's Deluxe hotel.

Yelp
For a luxury resort and Walt Disney World's premier hotel, I left feeling disappointed and sad that I had paid so much to stay here. Let's start with the good: The property is lovely, but I don't even think it is Disney's most beautiful property. Room is clean and comfortable. The Grand Floridian Cafe' and Enchanted Rose are both great places to enjoy a meal or a libation and the cast members in both venues were fantastic. That's where it ends, unfortunately. I write a lot of reviews; look at my last 50 (or even 100) reviews. Mostly 4s and 5s. I *hate* giving bad reviews and almost every single one is 4 or 5 stars, so if I give anything less than three stars, it is a rarity and that means it is NOT GOOD. Now the bad......for something that costs upwards of $600 a night during low-season, I would expect everything to be flawless. I am sad to say that I've had better experiences at Disney's budget resorts. First of all, we arrived and our room was not quite ready. No big deal, as we were early. But they said they would text us and when it was still not ready just before 3 PM (published check-in time) the Cast Member told us "oh it has been ready". Would have been nice to know - we would have loved to have showered and charged our phones and relaxed before heading to Mickey's Not So Scary. There was also a problem/system glitch with our accounts being linked in the Disney app, which took a little time to resolve. Then after that, the Cast Member working at the luggage check station was short with us when we went to retrieve our bags, and so we took our own bags to our rooms. (Yesterday at Sapphire Falls at Universal they happily brought our bags for us and we didn't even have to go outside to get to our room.) That walk to our building itself was a debacle. Another cast member kind of snapped "you can't go that way!" as we headed to the walkway that lead to our building . No signage prevented such, but apparently there was construction. So he didn't give us an alternative and it appeared we had to take the long way around, dragging our bags in the humidity with our tails between our legs. I meannnnn, everyone has a bad day sometimes, but is it normal for two CMs in a row to be this way? Not helpful. Next: we get to our room and it is occupied. The guy inside is a repairman who is cleaning or fixing some sort of invisible spot on the ceiling. He was not necessarily unkind, but he seemed frustrated and bothered that we were interrupting his work. "I was just about halfway done," he told us. He was reluctant to stop doing what he was doing and move the furniture back to where it was. Not particularly rude, but definitely perturbed that we were there and came in while he was doing his job. "I guess I'll have to do this later," he told us. Seriously. Is THIS why our room took so long to be ready for us???? By this point it was after 3 and we had wanted to change, shower, grab a cocktail at the Enchanted Rose and then head over to the party. Everything in our plans was hastened because of the inefficiency of check-in at this resort. If I were you, I would stay elsewhere. For the price you pay here, these things should not be such a debacle. There were far too many obstacles and we started our day out very stressed. I am glad the event was AMAZING at Magic Kingdom to make up for it. Basically you pay for convenience and ease of access to Magic Kingdom and that is it. I am sad to say I cannot recommend this hotel, nor would I return. I had stated my concerns to Disney, but never heard back from anyone. That is disappointing too. When a customer is dissatisfied, you should probably follow up with them, especially in a "luxury" resort setting.

Yelp
When we checked in, our bathroom hadn't been cleaned. They maybe mopped the floor and wiped the upper counters. There were coffee spills all over the walls, doors, and lower counters. Dust and grime was on all the hardware, and the trim on the walls had gooey sap in multiple places. Front desk changed our room and told us someone would help us move our bags. No one ever came. The new room was in a much worse location. Was not the view we payed for, and had paper thin walls and ceilings. We could hear the people above us simply walk through their room. Our daughter woke up at 5am bc the room next door was simply having a conversation. Our AC didn't work either. I set it to 68, the lowest it would allow, and it never went below 69, and I would argue it wasn't actually that temp either. They said they reset the thermostat to allow it to be turned down farther, I set it on 67, but it never cooled below the reported 68/69 it teetered on still. The manager, Keith, informed me at checkout the room was 65 when they checked it, which is not what I set it to, meaning it still wasn't working. This place is not remotely a 5 star hotel like it says on multiple sites. Nor the "deluxe" level as they call it, since I was told "we never SAID it was 5 stars." Most of the people we interacted with were quite nice, other than the manager Keith, who was incredibly disrespectful, condescending, and demeaning to guests. I was hung up on and told I was demeaning to him because I was given contradicting answers asked him which statement was actually true. I asked to speak to a different person because of how rudely I was treated, but the other manager promised to call me back on the morning of the day we checked out, then just left without ever reaching out. After reporting the multiple issues, I have to say all I felt I was given from that moment onward was disdain and empty promises of concern and assistance. This hotel is maybe a 3 star. And is maybe worth 400 a night when you consider you can walk to MK, but that dimly lit sidewalk is absolutely not worth the extra 1k a night over that amount. You'll be better off at JW, Four Seasons, or the Swan Reserve based on our better (and cheaper) experiences there. I would never step foot on this property again, let alone pay for something there after this, and staff made it very apparent they weren't bothering to try to earn our business back.

Yelp
GF is truly a luxury resort experience! We were there for the holidays and stayed in the concierge level rooms for most nights, where we were treated with breakfast daily, refreshments throughout the day, and heavy appetizers and dessert. The gingerbread house in the lobby was beautiful and grand, as we're Christmas trees. Concierges were friendly and helped with some of the arrangements, although we did most of the planning. We found that they had access to the same options we did. Staying on property meant access to extra hours and 7 day prior access to lightning lanes, which is helpful on crowded park days for ultra popular rides.

Yelp
When it comes to Disney decorating for Christmas, there is no better place then at the grand Floridian. We enjoyed stopping in and having a meal at their café, which was exuberant. The service is second to none and the decor is also second to none. We truly enjoyed our time hereand would wholly recommend making reservations to the grand Floridian for dining.

Yelp
My family and I did a split stay while staying in Disney for about a week. Half the time we stayed at Copper Creek villas and the other half we stayed at Grand Floridian villas. We were excited we made this transition because each are completely different experiences. I loved the stay at both for very different reasons. Grand Floridian villas was absolutely beautiful. Some might use the word bougie. I love the architecture, the smell when you walk in is so beautiful. a grand piano sitting off your left with beautiful music surfacing throughout the main lobby area. We were tucked away a little bit over in the villas. Not too bad of a walk. There's a few different pools on site and each one of them offers a different vibe. They have one that has a whole area for the kids. They also have a little man-made beach built-in that overlooks the lake. There's all kinds of fun games, and stuff for the kids to do and play with as well as cabanas and a lot of relaxation spots. There's a bar that sells drinks and snacks at each of the pools. The lobby area has a few, fun gift shops. They have a Michelin star restaurant on site as well as another beautiful, seafood restaurant called Narcosses. We ordered done in for dinner one night and breakfast one morning and that was the MOVE! It wasn't even that expensive and the food was amazing. The villas are beautiful, they have a nice balcony area where you get to watch the electric boat parade, a beautiful living room, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is beautiful with a gigantic tub and the bathroom, the guest bedroom has two double beds, the lobby area within the villa is fun and has games, coloring, and a TV playing Disney shows shows for kids. Overall, we stayed two nights and three days here and we definitely could've stayed longer. We really loved staying here and don't have a bad thing to say about it.

Yelp
While I've never stayed at this lovely hotel, I have had a variety of other experiences promoting a good review. As a local, there's no need for me to book here due to having a home and the high price of renting a room.. But, The Grand Floridian offers a variety of other activities and experiences worth exploring. Most recently, I attended a wedding at the pavilion. It was a lovely experience and I hope to do it again some day. Afterwords, we were able to leave our car and take the monorail over to MK. This was very convenient! In the spring, I love dropping by to see the chocolate painted Easter eggs. I'll drop a few pictures. Near Christmas time is magical at the GF. The decor and huge gingerbread house will blow you away. The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars from me is the price. I would love to stop by for a staycation, but the price is just out of reach.

Yelp
I visited the resort to admire the grand decor and wonder around. There was many shops located on the first floor that had many lovely gifts for purchase. The decor was exquisite! The garland wrapping the banisters was GORGEOUS. The massive tree in the lobby was amazing. It was covered in large bird cages and beautiful pastel christmas ornaments. Such a great spot for a photo/family pictures. Now let's get to the real deal gingerbread house! What a work of art. This life sized gingerbread house was such a spectacle. There is employees serving fresh gingerbread cookies and treats from within. I purchased the gingerbread shingle. It looks like a shingle from the roof. The cookie was backed with chocolate and it was DELISH. GET IT. The bakers definitely know what they are doing. I love that there is a sign informing guests how many ingredients go into the creation of the gingerbread house. I highly suggest making your way to visit.

Taylor S.

Yelp
Not a luxury experience at all. We reserved a king size bed, called and reminded and reminded at check in. We got to a room with 2 smaller beds. They also forgot the pack and play. They said next day they could move us to a king room which they never ended up being able to do. One afternoon even when we had the privacy sign on the door bc our one year old was napping, a guy walked right in and woke us all up. Finally, upon checkout the bell service never came to assist. I had to lug tons of bags alone in order to make my flight. I waited about 45 min. for assistance that never showed up. Besides all of this, most of the food and waitstaff was awesome. Would go back to eat but for the amount of money we spent for "luxury", I will definitely find a better hotel next time I'm in the area with my family.

Yelp
This review is limited in scope to the main lobby area of the resort with a focus on their real house size gingerbread house. Arriving in the resort is grand in itself since you have two swan themed trees on either side and a magnificient view of their main tree in the lobby. For great pictures, take them on the 2nd floor overlooking the atrium. Swan wreaths also adorn the wall. It's truly breathtaking. Photopass photographers are on hand to capture those special shots you'll want to treasure. My main reason for visiting was to dine at Narcosse's-reviewed separately and check out the gingerbread house. The house is fully detailed with Disney characters throughout and hidden Mickey's abound Santa is on one side of the house along with everything that would make a person welcome for Christmas. The gingerbread house serves as a store from which you can purchase holiday treats as well as make your own kit and more. A sign describes what the house is made from and most notible are the shingles which you can purchase during your visit. You can smell the gingerbread everywhere! Since this house is so popular we waited in line about 25 minutes just to be waited on. Some of the merchandise from Nov has been sold out but you can pretty much get the food. Note they sell a large Grand Floridian sample box and a minature gingerbread house of your own. When it was my turn I got to speak to the counter lady to find out the shelf life of these goodies is only a few days. They also don't ship-you must take your purchase to their business center to do that. Finally not everyting is made in house. Make sure to check the wrapped item to see where it was made. I decided to purchase the cranberry gingerbread muffin, 3 gingerbread men-not made in house, and a gingerbread shingle for my husband. By far the cranberry gingerbread muffin was worth the investment-The gingerbread was thick and the cranberries moist. By all means this was my favorite selection. The gingerbread man was also very good even though it wasn't theirs. The only disappointment was the shingle. My husband found it to be a bit dry. Among the other things they had which I didn't purchase were chai cupcakes-they looked amazing! Allow plenty of time if visiting this exhibit and wish to purchase. Lines can be very long. The house is composted after the holidays so they can make use out of it. The Grand Floridian resort sits on both the Disney local monorail line and a ferry boat is out back to take you to the Polynesian Resort and the Magic Kingdom. You can also walk to the theme park from here. Be prepared to wait no matter where you go due to immense popularity of this resort and grounds.

Yelp
Although the grounds are beautiful I was dissapointed with my room here. We arrived very late on a Saturday night due to our flight being delayed several times. Upon opening our room door I didnt get the wow I was expecting from the reviews and price of this resort. My main complaint is the carpet. Our carpet was very stained and even had a wet spot on the floor which according to the smell on my sock I think it was coffee. I found a spider on my pillow one night. The toliet area was shared by the shower/tub combo and didnt allow much space. I noticed the carpet throughout the villa building had several stains as well. The resort is beautiful overall. I really enjoyed the cabanas at the slide pool, watching my girls at the adorable splash pad, and the conveince of the monorail and getting to Magic Kingdom. I really just wanted more at this price level and reputation. I wouldnt stay again due to the room size, condition, and not feeling comfortable enough in the room which is absolutely what you need after long days at the parks.

Yelp
My family and I went yesterday to visit the lobby of the Grand Floridian, because we have been wanting to see the huge Gingerbread House. I fully recommend this experience. The lobby was very nicely decorated, it is very big so even though it was busy, there was plenty of space to gander and take pictures. For anyone in the Disney property looking to see some Christmas decorations, this is a great idea! You can also buy gingerbread cookies and hot cocoa! Perfect for this holiday season!

Michelle F.

Yelp
It's that special time of year again when the grand Floridian places their annual life-size gingerbread house on display in their lobby? Today we visited several Disney Resorts to scope out their Christmas trees as we do this every Christmas. Hotel hopping and checking out all the trees is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. We parked at Disney Springs ( free) and hopped on their bus system to head over to the Polynesian resort and from there we took the monorail over to the Grand Floridian. The Gingerbread house is an annual display which attracts thousands of people. We met the chef and creator of this beauty and "snapped" a few pics. There is a store inside the gingerbread house that is stalking several gingerbread items. The line up was too long so we moved on to our next resort . Definitely worth a visit because it's not often you see such beautiful work.
google avatar

Kris F.

Yelp
Clean prim and proper. Has nothing to offer over the other locations except fresh flowers in the lobby and few crying children.
google avatar

Kaitlyn F.

Yelp
I've always visited this hotel during Christmas time because I love all of the decorations that they have. I was so excited that I was going to be staying here at the most magical time of the year Christmas. I could just sit in the lobby for hours listening to the Christmas music and looking at the decorations, the room was very spacious. I love the Decor of the room and I just wish I had more time to relax in there. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and all of this cast members are very friendly. This is definitely a luxurious hotel that everyone needs to stay at once in the Disney trip.

Yelp
My partner and I had to visit Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on a Friday morning to pick up a wedding cake testing kit (2). It was pretty easy to drive to the Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Parking was relatively difficult as there was limited number of spaces available due to the construction. The entrance to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was absolutely stunning. There was plenty of seating available inside the main entrance. You could see the top floor balconies overlooking the main lobby. There are vintage cars outside the lobby and a piano inside the main entrance. If you're staying on property, there is a boat that takes you over to Magic Kingdom as well as a monorail that goes through the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Picking up our wedding cake tasting kits was a breeze. We just went to the front desk, informed them of our names and that we were at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to pick up the kit. This looks like a great resort to stay at though!

Yelp
Dining options limited, overpriced, and underwhelming. The biggest crappy thing this place did was wake me up from a nap for a "room inspection" even though my do not disturb sign was on the door. I was there for one day thus far by myself in the room, was under the weather, and had a little over an hour to regain my strength. Stranger knocked incessantly at my door and insisted on entering the room, said they were entering all the rooms on my floor. Total invasion of privacy. Plus the walls are paper thin, especially at the door that connects the two rooms together if you rent both. Woke up at 1230a to someone having a spirited but mostly normal toned phone call with someone, heard every single word they said, then had to listen to the background music they played (at was a moderate tone) for the rest of the night. Won't be staying here again, period. Could heard every little noise they made. Do better. Or don't, doesn't matter to me. Right now I can hear every single item they set down. I'm sure they're sick of me too because I have a moderate cough.

Yelp
Holidays at the Grand Floridian Resort is breathtaking. The trees, lights music & ginger bread house brings happiness of holiday enjoyment.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and Christmas decorations! Came here to check out the gingerbread house and it did not disappoint! Loved the decor and the smells. The tree was stunning. The house was incredible!

Yelp
Updated now that we have actually stayed here. Everything was simply wonderful. The cast members were so nice and so hospitable, our room was so clean and located in a great area of the hotel. The monorail is amazing and gives you access to parks and the other resorts. They have a water playground for littles. If you ever get a chance to stay here, I definitely would not turn it down or overlook it!

Yelp
We stayed here for 8 nights, party of 5 and it was grand. The room was recently renovated and everything was disney :) I gave it a 4 stars because we stayed in a room for party of 5, however it did not fit our family of 5. We needed more space. It was good that we could store our luggage under the bed. When we first arrived we were greeted with a spider that was way up on the wall by our bed. There were also many little bugs, which looked like flying ants. The shuttle service to and from the hotel to Disney Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom was terrible!! The shuttle was a very long wait and it's shared with Polynesian. When we went the shuttle was very loud. I would not recommend catching the shuttle buses. If going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot the tram is best.

Yelp
Great hotel! Rooms were super nice and clean. The view was amazing, and the staff were very nice. We would definitely return to this hotel, and we recommend it to everyone.

Yelp
Beautiful resort with a lot of character. It is a nice time to just walk around and enjoy their decor, especially around the holidays. The pool outside is just ok. There are multiple bars on the premises which is great for adults. I had never been here before but remember about the alligator incidence back in 2016. They have lots of ropes and gates up to prevent lake-life from entering the premises which I thought was interesting. Overall a cool place to check out and walk around. The ambience feels so luxurious! Would love to eat at one of their restaurants one day

Yelp
Just stayed here March 31 - April 5, 2024. Have stayed here once before 10+ years ago. This resort is next level gorgeous. We stayed in a normal 2 queen bed room. Resort view which turned out to be an awesome view of the main pool. It was me, my wife, my 23 year old daughter and 18 year old son. This place is very expensive, not going to lie. But the experience it offers is not touchable by any other resorts on Disney property. On top of that it is on the monorail which makes movement easier. The food was excellent on both the main restaurants as well as the walk up service cafe. I highly recommend this resort.

Yelp
Premium Hotel property across the lake from Magic Kingdom. We had a lake view penthouse with a balcony, which was very nice. Decor was Disney themed as you would expect, it looked new and was perfectly clean. Bathroom had shower tub combo and separate water closet. Provided robes were quite old, a little like cardboard, but better than nothing. I am not a fan of the sliding door situation that seems to be the current design choice for hotel bathrooms. No amenities in the bathroom, just dispensing shampoo, etc which didn't quite match the room price. There was in room coffee and tea maker and fridge. Fridge and room had no snacks, if you want them you need to go to the store or order room service. Property is substantial, similar look to Hotel Coronado in San Diego but much nicer and newer with grand lobby area. Big pool and lots of outdoor seating, situated on the lake it's lovely. A few shops and monorail access to Magic Kingdom, we walked back from the park along the lake path, there is also a boat that you can catch as a shuttle.

Yelp
Look - it's a Disney hotel. But, it's the BEST Disney hotel. And, the rooms are fine. The food and drinks are C- at best, though. I'm not sure what competitive set this place would aspire to, but the price point puts it alongside Four Seasons or St Regis and the experience dining program vastly underdelivers that. In fact, the place basically has one breakfast restaurant and one bar to speak of. There are two dinner restaurants, but the food universally (including room service) is pretty awful. That's what you expect from most Disney restaurants, but given this is supposed to be the best, it's disappointing how badly they underdeliver against expectations. Everything tastes high volume, low quality, cooked from frozen, and overcooked at that. And, given there is also only one bar to speak of, prepare to spend 30 minutes waiting in line (yet again) if you want to walk into the bar. Even at 10:00p. Not because it's great or even good. But because they are woefully underprepared to meet their guests' expectations. If this is going to be the best on-premise resort, they need to improve the quality of the food and drink program and raise the prices accordingly. It will help with the overcrowding and provide a decent experience to people who are willing to pay for it.

Yelp
Oh where to start?! Disney didn't scrimp with this one. Lots of special touches everywhere. Feels very grand when you walk in but. Or so much where you feel you have to dress up to walk in the front door. Smiling cast members everywhere. The walk to the room is beautiful with plenty of natural elements added. Room was very comfortable and clean and welcoming with a gorgeous view. Plenty of shopping options and restaurants. Would be nice if the quick serve had some variety by switching up some days. Loved the fireworks from the porch. They pipe in the music and everything so you get the experience without the crowds. Pools were a great temp and lots of room. Fully understand the cost of staying here. It's worth it

Yelp
Just from looks, I'm assuming that the Grand Floridian is the most expensive to stay in of all the Disney resorts -- especially on the monorail line. It's big and has a "classic" and regal feel to it and feels perfect for those who love the classic Disney movies as well. I didn't explore too much of this hotel and certainly did not stay here. I don't know that I would ever choose to stay here if money wasn't an object over other Disney resort hotels. What I can tell you though is that they had a very nice gift shop on the second or third floor - wherever the monorail lets you off - and it contained a great pin selection, including some that I didn't end up seeing throughout the rest of the park, but the most exclusive pins I found were surprisingly actually at the Contemporary - just FYI! There was also a PhotoPass spot right when you walk into the Grand Floridian from the monorail and they have Cinderella's glass slipper there on display that you can take pictures with, which is also very unique and exciting and speaks to the "classic" nature of the whole hotel!

Yelp
The Grand Floridian has always been one of my favorite hotels on the Disney property. I was attending a conference and had the pleasure of staying in the newly remodeled building seven. It was absolutely exquisite, and the decor was bright and cheerful with a Mary Poppins theme. The staff is always friendly and extremely accommodating for any of your needs. Check-in was very smooth with only a brief wait. And I absolutely love the golf carts service that can bring you to your room and give you a tour of the property. The amenities in the room included a steamer for your clothing, a hairdryer, fully stocked coffee bar, refrigerator and a vast array of toiletries. There are two amazing pools on the property and some great places to eat and drink as well as shopping. I highly suggest this as your Disney getaway resort if you're looking for a luxury stay in the area. Oh, and I love how they always tell you welcome home when you return to the resort.

Yelp
What can I say other than it's Grand! However, it is definitely pricey here. But you get the luxury vacation you dreamed of. Worth every penny!

Yelp
Been to Disney a few times and always thought it would be cool to stay at the Grand Floridian at Christmas time. It's a deluxe resort so the price is pretty hefty but thought it would be worth the price, nope. Couldn't have been more disappointing. The buildings are beautiful and the staff was outstanding - other than that a total bust. Rooms are tired and need updating, bathroom door wouldn't close when the toilet seat was down - seriously ?? Cheap toilet paper - seriously ?? Overall if you didn't know where you were it felt like a cheap motel inside the room. Pool was nice but no servers and the food was abysmal - the $15 wrap is taken right from the fridge, ice cold. Thought at least the transportation would be "deluxe" but buses never were running so to get anywhere had to monorail to the transportation center and connect - just like you do at the non deluxe resorts. Nice to dream but save your money, this hotel has a beautiful lobby so unless you are going for that it absolutely isn't worth the price. Wouldn't be back.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel in September 2024 for almost a week. Our reservations were all over the place because we kept changing the dates (adding additional days) and wanting to try club level. When we checked in, what we had had us moving rooms over 5x and we were trying to see what could be done to keep only 1-2 rooms. All that was offered was to fully downgrade the entire experience or pay over 1k a night to upgrade. Neither were viable options. We ended up sitting at the front desk after 10+ hours of travel for well over and hour and a half, trying to figure this out. We ended up just taking the downgraded room and had to give up our club lever. This was just the start to the trip. The second day, we spoke with the front desk about the awful time we had and they said they'd give us dinner credit. What they didn't tell us was that expired within one day. We had eaten at the cafe for dinner and they had these amazing gluten free rolls. I was craving them that day and asked the front counter to see if I could just take a few rolls to go. I was told no. They "don't do carry out". All I wanted was bread. The manager was so dismissive of us and didn't even offer to let us come sit to order rolls. We were fine paying for them, but the answer was a hard and fast nope. We had breakfast at 1900 ParkFare Sunday morning. I had a reservation for 11:15 and wasn't seated until 11:43. I was told to "wait over there" then "no, over here, sorry. Oh, no, sorry, I didn't mean there, over here." Then the worst happened. We have food allergies and have to be very, very careful. We were given the menu for the allergies and talked to the chef who came out to see us. There were chocolate muffins that were allergy friendly. We specifically asked about pea protein being in the muffin, as its one of our allergies. We were told no, its safe, over 3x. We ate a little bit of them, but were still unsure. We wanted to be extra, extra sure, and had the ipad of ingredients. pea protein was listed in the top. Right there. After being assured we were safe. We pulled out the epi-pen and sat there. The manager rushed over to check on us, gave us water (we asked for no ice and were given ice...) and gave us her card. Katie told us that the meal was "on us". ...we had eaten soup and muffins. We had barely gotten to eat, so yes, it makes sense it would be "on us" when we hadn't even gotten to enjoy the meal. We rushed back to the room, feeling sick. That was it. No one at any point came to check on us, call, make sure we didn't need emergency services, or anything. At this point, I wanted to switch hotels. I even contacted the number on the card Katie gave us and reached out. I got no follow up. We had received an email asking "how are we doing" and I responded to a one question "survey" that only allowed you to type 500 characters and asked no other questions that this was one of the worst experiences. Had this been a Double Tree or something, I could understand, but for an expensive, flag ship hotel, it was like we didn't matter at all, weren't special, and got mediocre treatment. After i submitted that, we got a phone call about 30 min later. We spoke to the night manager and I told him all that was going on. They upgraded us to club level for the rest of the trip, which was super nice but... Even that had issues. One positive note I'll add was the staff in the club food area were incredibly kind, friendly, and understanding. They seemed to have been told about us. Unfortunately, because we got sick, we weren't able to use our park tickets or even go into the parks at all. We ended up spending the next 6 days in the hotel room. Other issues include: -House keeping coming to clean at 9am (same time the parks open, but not everyone goes to the park for rope drop...) -House keeping not coming at all -House keeping coming 5x throughout the day even though we didn't need anything and were still in the room -The "best of the best" (club level) rooms are located in the main building, which means very echoing, loud sounds from downstairs lobby (so many screaming kids) at all hours - Pool music playing LOUDLY from 10-10. Its not even Disney music. While laying in bed, ill, I thought I was at some circus in the 50s. -Disney+ isn't even available to watch -Screen projecting blocking YouTube so we couldn't even watch our own shows -Extremely limited TV options (~20 channels at best) -Waiting for our luggage from bell hop on the first night. They did NOT tell us they couldn't leave it in the room. We had gone to dinner after the events at the front desk, and wanted to go right to bed, but there were no suitcases waiting. We had to call, wait 15 min for them to call us back, and then another 15 for them to bring them up. Apparently they can't leave them in the room and we needed to be present, but we were not told this and would have made other arrangements. -Paying $40 to valet park "all day" at 8pm. No nightly discount? -Being told by the l

Yelp
This was the 6thh resort we were stopping in at. We stopped and told the security guy that we were there to find medallions. We would not be parking but rather that the driver would stay in the car- we would pull up to check in- one party would get out run in and acquire the medallions and we would be on our way. He advised us that we could not be allowed on. That we could however drive to the monorail station Take the Monorail to come BACK to the resort and get the medallions So we couldn't drive on be there for less than 5 min NOT take up parking BUT we could TAKE THE MONORAIL and then be on the premises???? How does this make sense? We proceeded to the other resorts of which only 2 of them had any issues with what we were doing- only this one.... NOT impressed. So we talked to someone at Disney who said that we should be find to go on- so the next night we go back. It was even worse. So the first night The guard was extremely rude would not let us finish speaking cut us off abruptly and using a tone of intimidation. We couldn't even ask anything it was extremely rude and unnecessary and unprofessional so then The SECOND NIGHT- after we were told at Disney that we should be fine. THE SAME GUARD AND HIS COLLEAGUE- were rude again but this time we parked off site and my partner walked in- they call him over to tell him it wasn't safe to walk on the road- he wasn't on the road UNTIL they called him over- then they questioned him repeatedly about why he was there and hassled him until they finally let him in. He goes to the front desk who tells him that the guard shouldn't have done that and that we were perfectly fine to drive on and the guard had crossed the line. My partner got the medallions then walked back to the road and met me. The whole incident didn't need to be that complicated- and the guard didn't need to be so rude!!!!

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel overall. The rooms were very cleaned and had amazing views of Bay Lake and other Disney Hotels. At night there is a show that happens the Water Pageant and the Fireworks from Magic Kingdom. When I first walked in the hotel it smelt very good. The food isn't the best on the resort you should probably head out for food and also be careful when ordering DoorDash or anything. We got scammed once as the driver said they were at the gate and asked for a code but they ended up being far away.

Yelp
I went here for a wedding so I only saw the dining hall. Part of the hotel it was - huge building. With amazing views of the monorail and cinderellas castle . We walked in to a nice building That has bathrooms and lots of rooms. We had some drinks and appetizers. Pretty good food and drinks had lots of flavor and many choices then for the inside was a huge room with a dj many tables. And more food deserts a dance floor the bride groom and guest had alot of fun. The set up was beautiful the staff was amazing and helpful. Mickey and Minnie were even there

Yelp
Quite frankly the biggest disappointment ever. At arrival I was asked if I wanted help with my luggage. My fam had arrived earlier so I knew my room number. I asked based on my room is it close or far? The handed me over to another bellman and I gave him the room number and he gave me instructions how to get there. I asked is it far? Because if it's far I prefer to have you take my luggage. They just repeated the instructions of the location. It was far. Got to my room drenched. Went to buy something at one of the stores at the resort. Wanted to use the app to purchase what I was buying. None of them could show me how to do that. Went to the front desk to have them show me that was 45 mins and still had to bring someone else in. Then I went to another store and asked them if they sold an undies. My kid forgot hers. She was standing next to me. They told me they had none. As I was walking out of the store I found a pack of Disney undies. Salesperson of the year. The night before my husband had called to guest services because my son had an ear ache. The offered he could purchase Advil but that they had a medical concierge and patched him through. The medical concierge told my husband to wait till the morning and to drive to an office about 30-40 mins away. What a waste of time. Had dinner reservations at the cítricos restaurant-not even close worth the money. My husband called down for some ice. They told him they did not have anyone on staff available to bring ice. Really? Did I mention the reason we are staying here is the proximity to the magic kingdom and the use of the monorail. Yeah several time we went to use the monorail and it wasn't working. Close to $4000 for 2 nights and the service is abismal. The staff is untrained. By the way when the ice thing happened I went to the front desk and there were - no kidding- at least 5-6 people there just standing around. As I walked back to my room 2 housekeeping staff walking out of their area doing nothing. This is my 6 or 7th time staying here in the last maybe 10 years. This is my last. Horrible. Expensive and not worth it. Don't even get me started about gasparillas.

Yelp
Was not happy with the cleanliness of all 3 rooms I paid for! August 22-25! Building Boca Chica rooms 8434 8432 8436! Not right after spending all the money!

Yelp
My Mom is a DVC member and was nice enough to use her points so we could stay at a villa overlooking the lake. First class but I have 2 minor requests that would be inexpensive and easy to implement .... Are you reading this Disney? USB Ports and Soft-Close hinges in the kitchen I know the theme of the hotel is the old-world charm, but it's 2022.

Yelp
First off; let me start by saying that this is the GREATEST DISNEY WORLD RESORT HOTEL EVER!!! This may very well my very first time staying here but I'm already loving it here! I got to swim in the pool; workout; play basketball and most importantly; I'm loving all of the hotel including the part where I'm staying at right now. I am currently writing this review from inside my hotel room right now as I get ready for bed to prepare for my BIG 22nd birthday celebration tomorrow at the Disney parks! And so far; since I arrived on Friday two days ago; I've been treated like royalty! Despite how expensive this hotel is; this is the best one near the magic kingdom. You can either walk; and/or use the monorail which is easy access. I also got to enjoy playing in the arcade as well! I totally recommend this hotel! I hope to stay here again sometime in the future!!!

Yelp
Extremely disappointed. Was so looking forward to staying on this property, and after 6 nights staying on the club level which is suppose to be 5 diamond, 5 Star, the service, staff and food, was absolutely awful. I tipped the maid/room cleaner the first day to keep my room tip top. She never came back! I locked my heart medication in the room safe and the safe broke. It took me calling the front desk twice and the concierge on my floor twice and 50 minutes later for the engineer to get to my room. And btw i told them it was a "medical emergency" that i needed my meds. Zero fresh food, no seafood except salmon shipped in (how can this be with 4 "high end" restaurants in Florida?) They charged the wrong card on my room key and i had to go to the front desk 3 times to get it fixed correctly. In between i got a massage. The males in hotel Spa at the desk had a problem with my room key and the card was not working. I offeted to go get a cc. At this point, this insolent boorish man told me in front of other guests " ma'am you need to sit down in 'that chair' and may not leave the spa until you pay your bill". I asked for the manager and she immediately solved the issue. It was one thing after another all week. Club level food often contained a rotation of "uncrustibles" cut into wedges with tater tots, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and "sustainable fake crab cakes" Desserts at dessert time were brownies, chocolate chip cookies and liquid strawberry parfait. Coffee not available until 6:30am. Bathroom toiletries were equivalent to Holiday Inn Dont waste $900 a night. This is more like a 3 star hotel ABSOLUTELY not 5 star. Since the pandemic the Grand Floridian is no longer a premier property. Stay off this property go to the Four Seasons

Yelp
This was our first time staying here. We only stayed three nights because it's so expensive, but we finally got to knock this off of our bucket list. It didn't disappoint. The room isn't not a room you for if you have kids expecting a lot of Disney theming. There just isn't any. But it's comfortable and roomy. I liked the double sinks. The shower was the best we've had at Disney World, but I didn't care to have the toilet in the same room as the shower. That's how it is in the lower costing rooms. I don't expect to see it in a room that's at the top of the resorts' prices. It makes it inconvenient if someone needs to use the toilet while someone else is taking a shower or bath. The top floor balconies are really small, so that was a little disappointing, too. The top floor isn't cheaper than the lower floors, so you feel like you're paying the same amount to get less. I didn't like being on the top floor at all. The elevators at the Grand Floridian are brutal. Those doors close FAST! I've never seen elevators close as quickly as those did...ever. I'm mobility impaired, so that was a real challenge for me. There were a lot of Disney photographers on site during our stay. We saw one by the piano, one by the vintage cars outside the lobby, and another one on the second floor of the main lobby. They had some awesome Magic Shots that my kiddo loved. The best thing about our stay was being able to see the fireworks. We didn't have a fireworks-view room (way too expensive for our budget), but we could still see the fireworks. It wasn't a full view like you probably get in the fireworks-view rooms, but it was still enough to be exciting. We'll take it! So, I'm conflicted about this resort. We enjoyed our stay here. But was it worth the high price tag that comes with a stay at the Grand Floridian? I'm not convinced it was. The flaws weren't major flaws, but they were flaws that shouldn't be at a resort at that price point.

Yelp
Beautiful resort, BUT staff is rude. For how much you pay, they don't help you with anything. If you need help with anything, they either give you a small pamphlet that is zero help or they don't know the answer. Staff needs to be trained better in actual hospitality. Gift shop employees and valet were awesome, but front desk, bell service, people at the gate bring this place down to *one* star.
