Coming to Prescott for the first time, I was unsure of where to stay. Luckily, I found this hotel which is central to the downtown area and most places you need to be in town.
While finding a place to park was not a challenge, being concerned about the two hour parking limit was. SPOILER ALERT: There is free parking in the parking garage behind the hotel. (They will give you the entry code for the back door.) Probably more daunting was the challenge to get my (wife's) luggage up the stairs, but once there check in could not have been smoother. We were personally escorted to our room and give a rundown of what was available. The hotel even provides a list of things that can be brought to your room at a moments notice.
The room we were in was really well appointed and comfortable, the bed soft in all the right places. My wife lived the claw foot tub and pedestal sink in the bathroom. While not as big as traditional hotel rooms, we lacked for nothing. But for those of you who are used to Hampton Inn or Courtyard Marriott may please consider room size, Pay Channels (HBO, etc.) before you book. I would stay here over a Hampton Inn, especially with my wife. However, for a guys trip you would want to stay somewhere else, say a cabin with no electricity on Granite Mountain :).
Breakfast was a delightful with easy handling trays to take to your room. In fact, I made brownie points when I brought my wife one. Boiled eggs, fruit, muffins, bagels, yogurt, cups of diced fruit and all sorts of juices and smoothie drinks.
While not for everyone, we really enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to coming again.
