The Grand Hotel

Spent about 8 days in Uruguay Punte del este! First comment is - who knew this place existed! The area reminds me of Miami Beach for Latin America - Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. It’s quite amazing the food, architecture, beaches and approachability and kindness of the visitors. |It’s like a hidden gem that when you discover it, all the other visitors are happy you found it. ||The Grand Hotel definetly was nice, not over the top, but nice. The service was ok, I did feel somewhat like I was in a better Hilton not a Four Seasons. I would add that the convenience of the hotel’s location, proximity to the beach and the rooftop make it a great property. The rooms were nice, especially the views.

I was quoted 330usd for a ride to Punta del Este. Uber costs only a half of this amount . This is actually a highway robbery. No shame taking advantage of their guests. We only got an old car and zero space to relax as our luggage was packed in front and back tightly.Nowhere in the entire South America was I overcharged like that. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

The room was spacious and clean. They provide you with two free bottles of water and two coffee capsules per day. We were also greeted with chocolates and two free drinks at the bar. The pool was clean and the temperature was perfect. The kids really enjoyed the kids club and the gym is nice as well. The breakfast would have been nice with more variety of food but overall it was okay. We are looking forward to returning soon.

My friend and I just stayed at the Grand Hotel as she was running the marathon in Punta Del Este. It was the perfect visit. The staff were incredible, the rooms very big, food fantastic, beds super comfortable, airport transfer easy. There is not one thing we would change about our stay. Thanks to them for making our trip so special.

Modern facilites but still very cozy. Everything you need is in the room. Common areas very nice. Excellent and warm service. Breakfast with high variety of choices and everything very tasty. Location is perfect. I would strongly recommend.

Wonderful hotel and amazing service! Our room was beautiful, spacious and the view was incredible. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great pools indoor and outside, and nice spa facility. Your car is parked for you. Location is great and close to everything. Endless walking on the beach. Hotel also has beach club with amenities. Loved our 3 night stay here!
