We stayed in room 12. Wow. The shower head keeps falling off its holder, the screaming sound from the taps is next level, about 15% of parking spots are taken up with old furniture, building materials and a tow truck making it difficult to find a spot and the lack of proper windows makes it feel like your sleeping on the foot path. Not to mention we had to call the office at midnight due to the neighbours being extremely noisy. On a positive note the rooms were fine and everything worked ok except for the shower.

I appreciated the internal room with no external window for what it was as i liked the quiet solitude. All amenities such as microwave, fridge toaster cutlery and crockery etc were as I expected for my stay of 10 nights. The air con worked fine although it was a bit noisy. The bed was very comfortable. Other issues I had unfortunately in the negative were that the toilet had a faulty flush mechanism, the room's desk chair had loose joints and car parking was tight. If you arrived back late you missed out on a space. Their was a lot of stuff such as old furniture, trailers, machinery and dusty stored cars taking up car spaces that should be for clientele. Not a good look for an establishment marketing itself as four star.

After stays at more than 17 hotels and motels as we travelled from Frankston South (Victoria) to Clifton Beach (Qld) and back we were pleasantly surprised with the personal assistance Shane provided on our arrival (on Thursday 21st August 2025). I might add that on most stays, we had booked a queen room (received confirmation that we had booked a deluxe queen room) and found that we had in fact paid for a queen room but were on arrival designated a double room. The Grand Motel in Griffith was not one of those - we experienced exactly what we had requested. We were provided with directions for easy access to the ground floor car park where the car park space was adjacent to the lift making the transfer of luggage very easy - a small trolly was made available to assist us with the transfer of luggage to our room. |Shane provided helpful advice concerning meals. We had cause to seek mechanical advice and Shane was able to direct us to competent mechanics at Brett's Mechanical Repairs. The room was clean, the TV provided for our needs, the shower was excellent and the king bed was superb. We would stay here again.

This motel is lacking some attention to detail and friendly customer service. The shower keeps falling off its holder, the vanity is worn out, the carpark looks like a dumpster of old furniture and building materials taking up parking spots.

After travelling six hours from Sydney we were expecting a warm comfortable room, far from it.The reverse cycle Air Con did not work at all, the room was so cold we had to ask for two heavy blankets, my wife slept with her woollen cardigan. The manager tried to convince us that the Air Con had to be reset and replaced it with a small three bar oil heater, useless. The pool and spa area is located in the lower ground floor, zero welcoming atmosphere, cold, low ceiling, dark and only available upon request. The spa in the room was as noisy as a jet taking off and not all jets were functioning, very uncomfortable, impossible to relax. The room was unwelcoming, boring and the rusted bars outside the windows matched the rusted and mildewed aluminium window frames. Definitely will not recommend it to any future travellers. |We did ask for a refund when we checked out expressing our disappointment but only if we wrote an email to the owners of the hotels obviously our complaint was not passed on from the manager to the owners, a very care less attitude.

Clean and beautiful rooms, beds are very comfortable. Shower was amazing very clean. Under cover parking also very central location to all restaurants and pubs. | Would stay again if in this area, happy with this service only one small disappointment the shutters on sky light would not open But over all a perfect motel

On arrival to the motel, the receptionist greeted me in a cold manner and reminded me three times about payment within a very short time frame. She went as far as not giving me any details about parking until I payed what was due, arguing with me to get payment or bothering to explain why I had to pay on arrival, offering NO explanation. I stated that she was very hung up on payment, and no one was home…not one reply!||Her directions were way off to get to the parking lot. Very vague and the coldness was and could not be mistaken! How can someone work in this role if they go out of their way to be cold and unfriendly…not very hospitable, right?||The room was comfortable but not very warm…took forever to find the heater to turn it on….again no introduction to the room and its facilities by the receptionist to say where the heating controller was or that we had to take care of our own garbage….not ok!||what made up for the receptionist was the friendly male staff on duty at the time. He was able to rectify any questions and I found him lovely to deal with. Thank you for your professionalism, Shane. The spa bath was a treat too. Beds were large and comfortable, pillows not so much.||On departure, the receptionist enters again…we were leaving the Motel and she was getting rid of some garbage in the basement….she saw us but did not say Good Morning…just totally ignored us and went about her day….so, so unprofessional…probably does not deserve to be in her job position if she does not understand how to be friendly, or at the very least, approachable and helpful, please don’t keep her employed!||The experience with the receptionist left a bitter taste in my mouth and as I have worked in reception at hotels (I have a Diploma of Hospitality Management), I was flabbergasted by her rudeness.

It was very disappointing the lock up garage had old furniture and old cars in it. The room was old and tied and could do with a good revamp and the Bedding and Towels where stained and not clean. A key box at the car park would be so much easier than having to drop it of at reception.
