Beautiful architecture first time visiting enjoyed it. Show was great however got front row seats thinking great but with the height of the stage struggling to see the back of the set. Next time a fees rows back.

Howard Assembly Rooms for Pass the Spoon. Had a great time. Lovely venue and friendly staff. This photo was taken about 10 minutes before the performance started, hence the empty seats (which were full at the start).

We attended the Miss Saigon production at the Grand Theatre & Opera House Leeds. The theatre appeared to be well run and organised, security checks on entry and ticket checks once inside. There is at least one bar serving drinks, hot drinks and free water at pre performance and intermission. You can also get ice cream and a small selection of sweets from the carts and window hatch. Condition of the theatre is quite good, considering it's age, and the seats is shall we say 'snug' pretty much as you would expect - not great if you are a "big 'un". Our seats were mid row in the dress circle, have to say it was quite hot up there! Miss Saigon the performance was enjoyable with a good unrestricted view, albeit a little far away from the stage. There are a few seats with a restricted view, but they are identified on the seating plan when you book tickets. Overall a decent show, although we thought the "engineer's" solo performance was a little bit too elaborate and over the top! Great acting from the main characters, but the supporting actors were also good, even though they were not the main focus. Would we go again? Yes but down in the cooler stall seating.

A glorious interior with sweeping arches, grand decor and excellent views of the stage. Somewhat spoiled by the introduction of iron mongery to hold modern day sound and light systems. The seating is quite tight and not the most comfortable but not terrible. The staff are great very helpful and courteous. They also requested quite firmly that mobile phones are switched off and not to be used for photos or video. However as usual one or two folks didnt believe that this applied to them . I know I sound like Victor Meldew but phones being held up with bright screens spoils the view. Parking is local and not too expensive with a Q park at St Johns a five min walk away. My photo is post show BTW.

Good size. Not absolutely massive but cosy and a good number of seats. Well decorated. Well maintained, doesnt feel like its falling to bits like some theatres do. Good temperature (it was cold outside, we were warm enough for coats off but not sweating), good sound and view. Good location -easy for taxis to drop off but still near city centre

A beautiful old venue with a great atmosphere. We went to see the northern ballet performance of the nut cracker and it was absolutely fantastic!

I’ve visited theatres across many parts of the UK, but this is the first time I’ve found one with such spacious and comfortable legroom. The staff are also incredibly friendly.
