The most amazing experience I have ever had. The crew were so caring and considerate at all times. It’s a holiday packed full of adventures from swimming, fishing, crabbing & shucking oysters off the rocks My favourite day was the helicopter ride over Montgomery Reef followed by being close up to the reef in the dinghy. Viewing aboriginal art in places inaccessible to most tourists was also wonderful. Thank you to the chef, Aaron who served up delicious meals all day. I would recommend the Great Escape to everyone. As the oldest onboard at 75 I managed to do everything. Thanks also to Mitch, our skipper who tirelessly kept us all entertained & enthralled.

For anyone looking to do a Kimberley boat trip, I can highly recommend The Great Escape trip from Mitchell Plateau to Broome. The small size of the boat means it can get close to all the amazing locations. With only 14 people on board, trips to the various activities was handled easily. While the sights were amazing, it was the crew that made the trip exceptional. Finally, having a helicopter onboard, and taking the five trip package took the trip to another level.

This place is special and when I mean special this is bucket list number ONE for anybody into locations that are hard to get to, adventure, love snorkelling, love diving, love being blown away by the sea life and just an all round spectacular experience. Very few people know about the location and even less get to go, so just do it and get onboard this amazing boat owned and run by amazing Broome locals. The GE team as always were sensational, Jezza and Woody as the dive master and skipper and all the crew simply amazing, special shout to Jules our chef, just unbelievable. Big thanks to Kylie, Bree and Sarah for being the amazing people you are behind the scenes in making sure we are looked after from initial booking to getting us back on the plane coming home, you girls just smash customer service out of the park. We recently returned from an unforgettable adventure aboard The Great Escape on a private charter through the Kimberley with 14 friends — and what an experience it was. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The Kimberley itself is truly breathtaking, and seeing it from the comfort and luxury of The Great Escape made it even more special. The scenery was simply awe-inspiring — dramatic coastlines, ancient gorges, and majestic waterfalls at every turn. One of the highlights was taking the helicopter to the top of the falls — an absolutely magical experience we’ll never forget. The crew were outstanding. Professional, warm, and incredibly attentive, they made us feel completely at home while ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was superb — fresh, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious. Every meal was a highlight in itself. This trip exceeded all expectations. Whether it was exploring remote inlets, cooling off under waterfalls, or enjoying sundowners with good company and a stunning view, every moment was memorable. A huge thank you to the team — we’re already dreaming about our next escape. Highly recommend!

We just completed our second cruise with Great Escape in the Kimberley area. Again it was amazing, this is truly one of the most extraordinary areas in Australia. These guys ensure you see it in the best way possible both from the water and the air plus putting you on the ground right in the most beautiful gorges, rivers and beaches. The boat is wonderfully set up and the crew are both professional and friendly. You can see they genuinely love showing off their region. We have already booked another cruise to further explore the area.

Small boat 12 guests, feels like you are on a mates boat. Staff and culture of company positive and love the Kimberley and all its adventures. Schedule each day great. Go on the dinghy whether you fish or not, you see so much wildlife and beauty. Go on the helicopter package so you see the expanse and colour. Go on every walk , it’s not far to see the rock art or European history . Small boat gets you to small places! A fantastic moving adventure

Just came back from the Rowley Shoals with them and it was awesome, from the moment we stepped on it was sensational. The food was spectacular. The diving was great with some great drift snorkeling and scuba. Book with them and you won't be disappointed.
