The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze: Long Island

Magical to go with Children or friends! I would take with the bar experience or tavern for more fulfilling experience of the place! We loved it.

Great time at the Great Jack O Lantern Blaze in Long Island in October 2024. We arrived shortly before our 6pm ticketed time. There were lots of staff directing people where to park which was very convenient. After parking we entered the main area where they sold a few lit wands and staves for about $12 if desired. Tickets were scanned there and we proceeded to the main attraction entrance. We were given the option to wait a bit before starting our walkthrough as it wasn't as dark yet (6:05pm). There is a small food vendor there selling some snacks as well as beer. As you make your way through the attraction, there were lots of interesting and creative exhibits, all tied to Long Island's history. I appreciate that they took the time to make that connection as opposed to simply making random exhibits for display. Not only did we get to see some amazing designs...but learned a few facts along the way. There were some smaller exhibits but also some larger ones like the spider-web and pumpkin tunnel, both great for photos. Halfway through the walk, there was a shop which some souvenirs...typical things you'd expect from a souvenir shop. Overall the walkthrough was bigger than I expected. we really enjoyed it...though not sure if we'd return, as they would likely re-use the same exhibits every year. (Apologies if I am wrong) This would be good to look into before returning in the following years. All staff, from the parking directors, to shop vendors and others scattered around the walkthrough, were extremely nice and helpful. Big kudos to them! I highly recommend this attraction, especially if you haven't gone before. There are a few discounted nights ... be sure to check their website. Also, though the path is dirt...it is stroller friendly. We didn't have an issue navigating ours through the terrain.

My family had a great time when we went to Blaze Long Island. My 7year old said “Blaze is great. 10 stars!” They had so many beautiful decorations. It was well thought out. The trail was a nice length. I bought flex tickets which allowed me to visit when I could since I work crazy hours. The flex tickets came with some perks like free snacks and drinks for the family. They served Hot Chocolate, Hot Cider, Popcorn, Cookies, and other snacks and drinks. They had plenty of places for great photos. I would definitely visit again.

The best ever! Last year we went to sleepy hollow and it was beautiful,but kinda small and tight,it took us 20 mins to finish everything, BUT! Long Island the Great Jack O'Lanterns was mind-blowing! It was huge! It took us close to an hour to see all the installations ! It was wonderful,magic, and super beautiful! Will be back next year!!!

1st time here and we really enjoyed it. Went with my husband and 3 year old daughter. The pumpkin displays are fantastic and very creative. It took an hour overall including waiting on line to get in which was perfect for us. I only saw 1 food truck..was hoping there were some fall treats but didn't see any. The price for adults was a little too much in my opinion.

This was our first time visiting The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, and both my family and I loved the experience! Each section of the walk was beautifully decorated, with themed stories that matched the town’s rich history. The path was illuminated with tons of lights, spooky sound effects, projections, and fog, creating an eerie yet family-friendly atmosphere. The walk itself takes about 45 minutes, but I highly recommend taking your time to read the signs, admire the intricately carved jack o’lanterns, and snap some photos. Along the way, we even passed a few historical homes, including some from the Hewlett and Schenck families, as well as an old barn, all with informative illuminated signs that added an educational twist. However, I was disappointed to discover that the “7,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns” advertised were not all real. Most of the structures were made with artificial pumpkins, which took away some of the authenticity for me. That said, the artificial pumpkins were still hand-crafted by very talented artists, and the level of artistry is impressive. Overall, while I wish there were more real pumpkins, we still had an amazing time. It’s a fantastic event for all ages and a great way to kick off the spooky season!

Truly amazing pumpkin artistry!! I have been wanting to go for years and finally went. Yes, the tickets are a bit pricey, but you are supporting a great cause for their educational programs. It was absolutely worth the experience! I was in awe every step of the way. They are truly talented and very organized. I loved the carousel, the clock and the lighthouse!

It was a great experience. This was my second time coming to the great jack o’lantern but my first time at this location. My 2 year old daughter enjoyed it a lot. The weather was decent too so that helped. Parking is free also so that’s great.
