When we came back to the Negev this October six years after our last visit, we just had to stay at the Grren Backpackers again. For us it was much more than a hostel or a place to stay, but rather a home. ||Lee and Yoash put so much effort into every detail. It is cozy with a relaxing terrace and very clean. They come over every evening to give hiking advice to everybody. And you really should take their advice. We've done some great and diverse hikes. I still cannot say which was my favorite one. ||I would totally recommend staying for more than just a night or two. It is worth it. We will definitely come back one day. Thanks so much for five wonderful days!

I was here for two nights and this was by far the best hostel i have been yet in israel. The owner is just perfectly helpful, she recommended me a 12km hike and it was beautiful. The hostel is located right at the edge of the crater and next to the camel lookout, making it a perfect starting point for hiking trips. The whole place is just super super clean and you feel extremly welcome and comfortable.

The hostel staff was very friendly and helpful so we got helpful hiking tips around Mitspe Ramon. The atmosphere in the small hostel was amazing, we met really nice travelers there. The rooms were very clean as well. It was the best hostel on our Israel-journey and we totally recommend it :)

Really nice hostel. It's very clean and well organized. The staff are friendly, welcoming, genuine, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They were really helpful in assisting guests to plan hikes in the areas and especially with specific safety information about desert hiking. The hostel has a congenial homey and comfortable atmosphere. Recommended!

I came to visit one night in Mitzpeh Ramon and spent the night in the hostel. The service was pleasant, the place is clean and the atmosphere really cool. highly recommend. The hostel offers advice for hiking in the surroundings, there is a very well equipped kitchen and its location is very comfortable.

A small youth hostel with a variety of room types. We were in the only private room with private bath. It had a double bed and up a high ladder was another bed. We are in our 60,s but young at heart. We were 3 times as old as anyone else there. There is a common room and a full kitchen where you can prepare your meals. The manager comes in morning and evening with very helpful information on hikes in the area. The price might be good for the dormitory rooms, but our room, although less expensive than other hotels, was not cheap.

The hostel is very well located and has good facilities. The service however is bad, we didn’t get treated as guests (more like a liability). The room was really hot, and there is no A.C. The window has no curtains and the lights outside are on at night which make it very uncomfortable to sleep. The hostess is very welcoming but has a lot of rules and will charge you extra money if you break one of them, if you feel uncomfortable in the middle of the night because of heat don’t switch beds because they will try to charge you a whole extra night! We have never been to a place where an extra pair of sheets is such a big deal, just try to avoid uncomfortable situations with the management at this hostel.

Excellent hostel in excellent location. Very clean and well managed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived day after the flashflooding and many trails were closed, but we got the advice where we could safely hike. Highly recommended place to stay!!
