The Green Door

Love this cozy bar! Met a friend for a casual afternoon. First, love the decor. Second- Guinness on tap and they did the proper pour with cascade. Owner was friendly and attentive and the drinks were awesome!

We stopped to visit the newest owners and found a gem! This place is so character filled. They serve the best bloody Mary’s, have great craft beers, an impressive wine collection, fun gift ideas and stylish home decor. It’s a perfect stop for guys and girls with engaging staff for good conversation.

Eclectic little shop with wine tasting and craft beers. Also cute things to shop for while you hang out. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful.

Great space, awesome vibe, friendly owners and staff. Lots of local products for sale, and great beers on tap. Check it out if you are in the area and hear some great live music, or some vinyl on their lovely vintage stereo system.

A great place to get so many gift and drink ideas! Lisa is very knowledgeable about all of her products and does a great job of getting new things in! I'd highly recommend the Green Door to anyone coming to Clermont! 3/18 Lisa is now able to serve both samples or glasses of wine or beer with a few tables to relax and enjoy your selections! A definite upgrade! ❤️ 11/4/23 Lisa has sold the Green Door to Tonya and Mike and wow, things haven't missed a beat. They've added in tap beers and have given it a more pub feel, which works for this little gem in Clermont! I highly recommend stopping in for a pint or a glass of wine and checking it out! ❤️ 4/28/24 This is getting out of hand because the Green Door keeps getting better! They are starting to bring in live music! The two bands we've seen have packed the place and I know there is more in store for this summer. It's becoming quite the destination place! ❤️ 1/4/25 Live music the last two nights with other bands and open mic nights in the calendar! Tonight, we had a Scottish ale with coffee, delicious! They keep the beer rotation fresh and the atmosphere lively! Just a great stop in Clermont! 3/15/25 They put in a raised stage and opened up the seating area, creating a great area for dancing and listening to live music. Keep an eye on their Facebook page because there are a lot of events coming!

Lots of Iowa wines and beers. rotating variety of beers on tap. Has fresh ground coffee for sale from Impact coffee. Has live music events too. This is a great place to check out of you need a gift! Shop local.

The friendly and knowledgeable new owners make you feel welcome, as if you were a local, even if you’re just driving through town. Stop by for a pour of Grain Belt or a recommended local craft beer or wine, or grab something from the curated display of home decor items. They’ve got coffee beans and beer to go, too! A real hidden gem.

Wonderful ambiance, service and drinks!

Beautiful and charming home decor, art and specialty items shop in downtown Clermont, IA. Tasteful home decor items at all price points, local artists of a variety of mediums featured, specialty coffee beans, local wines, and the ONLY place I can find Peggy Kittleson's gorgeous dichroic glass jewelry (resident of Clermont). If you're driving through Northeast Iowa, make sure to visit the Art Gallery. It's so easy to find as it is right on the "main street" through town. ** Please note: this review was written when the business operated as The Art Gallery (back in 2010). Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to visit Green Door and therefore cannot offer an opinion or review of it.
