"Many patrons arrive by boat to this popular waterfront restaurant, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway in Captiva. As much for the pretty scenery, they come for the delicious Florida seafood, which ranges from stone crabs and oysters to shrimp and conch chowder. Owned by a Swiss man, the restaurant invites guests to soak up the Pine Island Sound views while enjoying an ambience that’s all Florida—with a special European touch."

We had dinner and lunch at the Green Flash during our stay in Captiva. The atmosphere was great and the water views were wonderful! Our waiter Craig was very welcoming and definitely made our experience at the Green Flash pleasant. My husband got the special which was seafood linguine and my daughter and I ordered the stuffed shrimp. Also tried the Captiva salad for lunch! The food was served fresh, hot, and in a timely manner. These dishes were very good and I would recommend them! We enjoyed our visit to the Green Flash and look forward to visiting again soon!

My husband and I had lunch. No wait to be seated. Atmosphere was very nice with the view of the water. We shared a shrimp cocktail that was very good! I ordered the flat iron steak that came with a creamy sauce that was overbearing (glad I put on the side). Steak was cooked good and ok. My husband had the bbq shrimp that he enjoyed. Drinks were delicious and dessert was! We’ll definitely go back to try again.

We ate late lunch at Green Flash and had probably the very best coconut shrimp ever! And since lunch was so good and they are only open for breakfast on the weekend. We went back there on Saturday morning and had omelettes As well as one of my all-time favorites, a Monte Cristo! My company left but the next day since it was my last time to go to green flash, I went back for breakfast and got my own omelette and it was really excellent. It’s beautiful view great location, excellent service!

If you're looking to dine in an upscale restaurant on the water in Captiva island, look no more. This establishment has it all ambiance, view, and wonderful food. Thank me later. You will not be disappointed. Mike, one of the owners will make sure you are well satisfied. I highly recommend this fine dining restaurant.

Always a staple during trips to Captiva, The Green Flash never disappoints. There was a bit of a wait in between our appetizers and entree’s. Our waitress picked up on this, promptly went back to the kitchen and got our food to us shortly after. We did not complain about the wait (45 min) or even ask about our food. Frankly, the atmosphere is so lively and enjoyable that we did not notice. Regardless, our drinks were comped and the manager came over to introduce himself and apologize for the wait. This interactions speaks volumes about the old-school values that make this place special. Look forward to dining every year! Cheers.

I very much enjoyed my dinner here, although I was dining alone at the bar, I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. Since I live in a landlocked state, I always jump at the opportunity to have the freshest seafood I can find when near the ocean. The chef's special was outstanding and the other guests and staff were a lot of fun. Next time I visit, I'm hoping it's during the on season so I can actually catch a green flash sunset 🌅 here!

I come every year and amazing food, views, and drinks. This past time there was an issue with poor service. Mike immediately addressed the issue and it turned into an amazing meal and experience. Thank you Mike! So, if you have an issue just talk to them, they will make immediate improvements!!

Mrs. Tiffany was our server, we had 29 guests for a family trip/birthday and they were AMAZING! The food was fantastic. Our server was a blessing, will be making this a yearly visit!

Yelp
My motorcycle group went to The Green Flash for lunch today. We had 9 people and arrived when they opened at 11am. They gave us great service and great food for our fairly large group. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the BBQ shrimp, others had the fish tacos, chicken sandwich, etc. Everything was great. By the time we were leaving at 12:30 the place was filling up. If you go also check out the view from the men's restroom.

Yelp
I had the fantastic pasta special with shrimp and my husband had the perfectly breaded clam strips. They were delicious!!! The green flash piña colada was so good. We had to sit inside due to rain and cold, but still had an excellent view. Next time we will bring the boat! Our waitress was awesome and full of knowledge. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. Too windy to speed

Yelp
Have been here many times over the years and it was always OK. But now - we ate here twice during our trip! The food was well seasoned and cooked and very good. Pictured is blackened swordfish which I got both times we ate here. Service was good as well and great view of the harbor!

Yelp
The location can't be beat! Beautiful waterfront view as well as outdoor tables. There's a small bar and an upstairs for groups. Our server was average. She kept our drinks refilled, but wasn't overly friendly. My fish tacos were good. The tortilla chips were thin and salty. The salsa was runny, overly tomato tasting with some kick. You can pay via your phone and a QR code. Pricy but most places are on the island.

Yelp
Pretty tasty. Great views. Friendly staff. No sweet tea - just Aronal Palmer substitute. Focaccia sandwich (panini style) very good. Unique mens room one-way mirror (lol)

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service, friendly staff, beautiful view! We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service great! Food prices were decent as well for a seafood and seaside spot. Fantastic little find on our mini-vacay!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and business does very well. There was a line of boats waiting to dock for lunch. Fish tacos were good and the crunchy grouper was perfect! Lots to choose from on the menu.

Yelp
Rode our bike here from the Tween Water resort for a nice lunch on our 25th anniversary! Great spot right on the water! Enjoyed some stone crab, get them while in season, and the Captiva sandwich, super friendly wait staff!

Joy C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Also great view of the back bay. We go every time we are in Sanibel!

Yelp
The food was great and my family had great service, also while we where eating we noticed dolphins jumping in the water!! Would recommend to eat here!

Yelp
Was here Saturday during day! Wonderful view and great set-up -food was looking good. Sat at the bar and I have to tell you the staff were a bunch of crabbies-Not upbeat, talkative, or fun in anyway. It will be hard for us to go back, but I will definitely try again. The view is worth it!

Ron R.

Yelp
Nice waterfront location. Waitress passed by us to wait on party that was seated 5 minutes after us. Should have left then. After 10 minutes of no waitress we got up to leave only to be asked by the hostess to stay another minute. Waitress showed up and took our mango Margarita order with no salt. Drinks came later with salt. Overpriced at $14 each in small glasses. Fish tacos came and tasted like canned tuna fish. Waitress said they chop up grouper, salmon, and tuna to make fish tacos. Worst tasting fish tacos ever! Sad outing to say the least!!

Yelp
This was my first time for dinner at Green Flash- under new management... friends tell me. Location is beautiful, and worth the drive to tween waters area. Bread served before entrée and we added the delicious Bbq bacon wrapped shrimp. The special was a White Sea Bass with two shrimp, Julianne veggies, and au gratin potatoes. I enjoyed it bite to bite and loved the sauce My sis had the Sea Food Sampler, which was so delightful if you love trying new things. She was adventurous, scallops, oyster Rockefeller, w spinach was a surprisingly favorite on the plate. More shrimp and a generous piece of fish. Plenty of tasty food. Hubby enjoyed the smoked salmon and salad. The only disappointment was the Tiramisu, which had no coffee, soaked in rum taste, just ho hum vanilla cake‍. This would've gotten a 5 star if dessert would've been worthy. Mike came by to see how we enjoyed our meal. Great evening with our guests from Texas.

Yelp
Love having lunch here (walking distance from Tween Waters) at least once during my periodic Captiva visits. The Captiva salad is terrific. Had the pasta special my other visit - outstanding. Enjoy sitting at the bar. Friendly/prompt service. Hard to beat the views.

Jewelyn S.

Yelp
Just sharing.. it was our Anniversary and the mgmt/hostess was made aware. We waited on a table at the bar which was ok. However, our waitresses the table was not very well trained. We notified her it was our 28th anniversary as we sat down. We ordered appetizers and entrees. Our waitress was not attentive to our bread, drinks and didn't follow up after food was delivered. She showed up way after we finished our meal. No offer oof desert or even as anniversary idea. I'm a full time local and will NEVER go back for any celebrations! Shame on the owners for not being attentive and the wait staff not offering dessert! Would have been happy to pay!!

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner at the Green Flash last night. The triple tail fish was outstanding!

Yelp
There is nothing better than sitting on the patio at The Green Flash watching the boats come in.

Yelp
We've driven by this restaurant for years and kept wondering what it was like, without actually stopping to find out. Recently, Judy R. posted a great review, which made me determined to make more of an effort to visit. I'm glad we finally did. There are several levels of dining. From the bottom, you can sit outside at tables with umbrellas for sun shade near the docks and the pretty water view. We opted to eat inside, which has two tiers of tables. This layout isn't typical but does allow almost every table to have a good view of the water. There are stairs in the middle of the restaurant that travel from the bottom (outside) into the restaurant and continue up to the top tier of tables, where you will also find the restrooms. See Paul K.'s review for more details on the "conversation starter" in the Ladies restroom. There are also stairs and a ramp that can be used to enter the inside restaurant from the parking lot. While there are some exceptions, seafood dominates their menu. That was fine with us and our party of three ordered different versions of shrimp, (Steamed, Fried and Coconut). Each meal was very good and a portion we didn't quite finish. Despite this, we found ourselves ordering some dessert. We shared Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Mousse. Both were unique "lighter" versions that made for a very nice ending to the meal. We're looking forward to visiting again.

Yelp
Mrs. K. had relatives visit us. We visited Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The Green Flash is a popular place to dine and watch the sunset hoping for "the green flash" at sunset. We had a table outside and the setting was very pleasant. One word this place is very unique and should be enjoyed for it's quirkiness. An example was there was a mannequin of a man in the woman's bathroom. A great conversation point among all users of the bathroom. One of the guests was an adventuresome eater. I really enjoyed her company and it was fun ordering different things for her and I. For starters we had a dozen oysters on the half shell. I believe they were blue point and everyone was full size. She sure enjoyed the oysters as I did. Next on the menu was escargot. She did not hesitate to give them a try and seemed to enjoy them. I had as a main course Veal Zurich medallions of veal in a awesome sauce. A wonderful dish. Mrs. K. had a shrimp cocktail for her main. The shrimp sure looked fresh and had a beautiful pink color. Our guest had the scallops. The scallops were huge and looked great. We ordered one key lime pie with three forks. I don't want to over sell this but they make it very different. It has almost a sherbet consistency. They offer a Conch chowder Manhattan style which is tomato based. I will be back because this is my most favorite style of soup.

Yelp
Large varied menu seafood platter excellent Very good service nice view. We're going again tonight.

Yelp
3 things about this place: 1. Drove to Captiva and this place caught my eye and decided to try this place. From the outside, the place looked amazing and inside looked even better. 2. Conch Chowder, Rockefeller Oysters, raw oysters, and Steamed Seafood were ordered. Raw oysters came out cold and fresh, Rockefeller Oysters came out hot, Steamed Seafood had good amount of seafood and the quality of all the foods were fantastic. 3. However, the Conch Chowder was a little disappointing. I was expecting something creamy like clam or corn chowder but felt like I was eating tomato soup with minced conch inside. It literally tasted like tomato soup. Overall, the view was perfect and the food was good minus the chowder; I recommend to people that are looking for a great time in Captiva and do not know which place to eat since there are so many restaurants to choose from.

R L.

Yelp
Service and food service were great. Nice restaurant. Support em as the area comes back! Will return!

Michele M.

Yelp
Came here with my mom midafternoon for a late lunch.. sat inside... Military, our server, was excellent and very attentive, but we had a hard time hearing her (and each other) because the acoustics were so very loud... and the restaurant was only about 1/3 full!!! Food, drinks, view... all excellent! But the noise level made it very uncomfortable... I should hope they will install some acoustic buffers... it will make for a much more enjoyable dining experience. (Four stars bs five because of the noise level...)

Beyla S.

Yelp
JUST NOT GOOD. Payed $100 dollars for mediocre food and $120 including tip. Service was fine nothing to rave about and not much to complain about. Ambiance was also fine but when you walk into the bathroom there is a mannequin chained to the wall? Really scary and weird and the sink was falling out of the counter. Overall would not recommend, wasted a lot of money.

Amy S.

Yelp
Amazing food to match the amazing views! My sister enjoyed a leisurely Saturday evening dinner under the stars. I had the filet, which was prepared at a perfect medium, and she had the chicken with mushrooms. We shared a bottle of wine had salad and dessert. Service was amazing and I was excited to be back at this restaurant on Captiva (it recently reopened after hurricane Ian). Don't miss it!

D C.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the location, the food was simply horrible. Stopped in for lunch today, it wasn't busy at all, lots of people working and super friendly staff however the food just missed the mark on all points. The fish tacos were dry, lacked any seasoning and tasted fishy, which generally means not fresh also had the shrimp quesadilla, while considerably better than the taco still not good. There was a lack of any seasoning on the food, quesadilla as literally some boiled shrimp thrown between 2 tortillas along with some cheddar cheese. If you're looking for lunch with a water view I suggest trying somewhere else.

Yelp
First time here we boated you can dock right on their pier. We ordered a shrimp cocktail which was very overpriced for medium shrimp at best. I ordered a Caesar salad with ahi tuna, that was very fresh & tasty, the tuna was very good. Would go back in the future.

Yelp
We ate here our first night on the island. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The drinks are fantastic! I definitely recommend the Electric Parrot. The view is beautiful! The food was good too! Between all of us we had fried clams, fried shrimp and burger. The only negative thing I can say is their once enough shrimp. Again, everyone was so friendly and even though the island is recovering from Ian, the service was tops!

Cathy R.

Yelp
The Green Flash sandwich was awesome .. Add a Bloody Mary to finish up a great lunch ..

Yelp
What a great find on Captiva Island. Wile vacationing on Captiva, we were told about the Green Flash restaurant. This is now probably my favorite restaurant on the island. It's located right on the water and has a beautiful view of the water 4 of us order drinks and dinner from a waiter that was friendly and informative about the menu. One of our group is gluten and soy free with allergies to both. No problems with that at the green flash, they can accommodate those requests The special of the night was Halibut served a citrus sauce, Topped with 2 grilled shrimps, steamed spinach and Au gratin potatoes. I ordered this for myself and my wife had The grouper "café de Paris". It's served in a white wine butter Worcestershire and seasoning that was absolutely delightful. She also had the spinach and potatoes au gratin. The halibut was cooked perfectly very flaky and moist with a distinct buttery flavor which is a characteristic of the halibut. I must say that the au gratin potatoes were not even warm but they did have a marvelous flavor. The grouper café de Paris was also cooked perfectly and my wife raved about the wine lemon and herb sauce that was on top of it. She also said the potatoes were not very warm. All of the food was served perfectly and everyone enjoyed their dinners thoroughly. With an amazing view excellent service and incredibly good food I would come back here anytime I'm in town

Yelp
Today was our second visit to this lovely restaurant located on beautiful Captiva, directly on the water. I made a reservation via Open Table for 1:30, but we got there about 40 minutes early and were seated immediately under a palm tree, at a table with an umbrella! We have our relatives from South Dakota with us and they are craving fresh seafood. Debbie was our waitress and I ordered the seafood hot pot. It was a special treat! A large bowl of clams, mussels, cut up fish, shrimp, scallops in a saffron broth with julienne vegetables and garlic toast. It was super yum! Dave ordered a smoked fish appetizer which was served with Lavash Crackers. He had the crunchy grouper sandwich again, and it was deep fried but moist and delicious with fries and some coleslaw. Our guests had the clam strips and grilled mahi. Everything was just perfect on this beautiful southwest Florida afternoon. The seagulls, the gentle cool breeze and the perfect outside location. Thanks again Green Flash! We love supporting you and our local community businesses!

Yelp
Food: We ordered two beers, the Jumbo Shrimp and the Smoked Salmon. The Jumbo shrimp were at best medium, definitely frozen and borderline tasteless. I've had better from the frozen section of my grocery store. See the attached photo with the equal packet to understand the size. The smoked salmon however was worse. The photos may best describe the salmon, but suffice it to say it was off color, mushy and just terrible. I've had a lot of smoked salmon in my life but this was simply unreal. Service: Our waitress was kind enough but definitely not service oriented. When we ordered our drinks and appetizers our menus were quickly taken away without her asking if we were having entrees. The place was not busy but she was in a rush. She never asked how the food was or if we needed anything else. I did ask the hostess when she walked by, since the waitress was not to be found, if I could see the menu again. I pointed out the Jumbo Shrimp on the menu to her and asked her if there was a mistake. Clearly what was served was not jumbo She gave a awkward smile and said not really. I simply didn't care to raise a fuss and we let it all go. We ate the shrimp and passed on most of the salmon. And certainly were well past considering any other food. The only good thing was the two way mirror in the mens room. As I went about my "business" I saw the entire bar rom where I stood and for a minute it had me fooled. But when I went outside the bathroom and looked back I confirmed it was a 2 way mirror. Pretty clever! So clever that I told my brother in law who lives in Tampa to stop in when he is next in Captiva and avoid the food but have a beer (safe bet!) just to get a kick out of the bathroom. Food = Bad Decor = Dated Service = Lacking

Yelp
The Green Flash has been under new ownership for over a year now and there is a definite improvement. The food is good, not spectacular. They have a full liquor license which is a plus. Hopefully they will put together a new menu and upgrade the service (I'm very sympathetic that it is hard to get help in this environment). All and all they are headed in the right direction.

Yelp
I had the misfortune of coming across this place this past Sunday while on the island. Im a huge football fan and was told that this was the spot to be for game day! I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and a water. The bartender and staff were friendly and I was really liking the vibe. Until the manager named Sarah walked up and started asking me all kinds of personal questions and was making me feel uncomfortable. At about 3 minutes before halftime I ordered another drink...I still had a little less than 1/2 of the first one,but figured I'd stay and watch the rest of the game there. There was no one but me at the bar and only a handful of people in the restaurant and my drink never came. I reminded the bartender that I had RE ordered another drink and she informed me that SARAH had told her not to serve me anything else. Then on que with about 48 seconds left before halftime and my team driving, she grabs the controller and changes the game!! Remember...Im the ONLY person watching the TV!! I politely told her that I was watching that game she turned and she said well I'll turn it back in a little bit!! I put my money on the counter and told her I've never been disrespected like that in any establishment ever!!! I went back to the place I had been at "The Mucky Duck " and the informed me that Sarah is a grade A mean person, with a Capital "B" and only wants locals in her establishment!!!! Please don't EVER GO HERE and tell everyone you know so you won't have to experience her hatred!!! If I could leave negative stars I would!!

Yelp
Neat place. Long drive across Sanibel to get there. Some cool items on the menu. Nice view of the bay and if you are lucky yiu might see some dolphins. Enjoy

Yelp
Wanted to give everybody a balanced perspective of our dining experience last night and first night in Captiva. I have been coming here for several years in a row and always make a point to have one meal at the green flash. Last night we had reservations that were booked well well in advanced and they seated us almost 40 minutes late to our table. Management had assigned six relatively large tables to one waitress and she was absolutely overwhelmed with very little support staff in terms of bread running, filling water etc. On that front I'd have to give management a one star. They certainly didn't check on us through the meal nor afterwards. On the food front, our overall groups review was mixed ranging from 3 to 4 stars. For the price one would expect it a little bit more. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the wine list was really really inflated. Wines that you can get at Costco or marked up roughly 6 times retail prices Versus a four time markup. I recognize that this is a vacation destination but felt like that was a bit of a gouge. Overall, for our first meal out on vacation I have to say the group was very underwhelmed with the experience. Will likely rethink coming back in the future.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. Wonderful view, delish island style food, and great staff! Today I stopped in for a Dirty Flash (a martini). Thanks Donna, world's best bartender!

Yelp
Best view on the island for an eatery! A storm was rolling in and we had the best view, just fantastic! Takes reservations and has a kids menu. Food and drinks very good. Bread was not. One of our water glasses had a green thing floating in it (yuck). They were obviously understaffed (like many places) but our waiter was friendly and tried his best. Will be back to try again next year!

Yelp
This is a wonderful spot by the water with great food. I sat inside the restaurant, near one of the windows at sunset, and while the view wasn't of the sunset itself, I still got to see all the gorgeous colors of the sunset in the clouds and sky and reflected in the water below. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, Stuffed Shrimp, and the special of the day, which was Mahi-mahi topped with crab and lemon cream butter sauce. I loved the Oysters Rockefeller, it was everything I wanted out of an appetizer, delicious, not too filling, and made me look forward to the main course. I love crab and the main courses did not disappoint. The Stuffed Shrimp was filled with a yummy crab filling and the Mahi-mahi was topped with a good amount of crab that worked so well with the lemon cream butter sauce that made the crab and fish taste even more fresh and light. The customer service was also excellent.

Yelp
Wow! I spent the last week on CAPTIVA Island for the first time. I have eaten in most all of the notable restaurants and actually have come back for dinner to the Green Flash twice with the family because of the food and staff! Tonight was my last night and I decided to go again. The General Manager, Cindy MUST be doing something right because our waitstaff ANGIE was exceptional! She was a consummate professional, attentive, willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing dining experience! The views are amazing over looking the river and with the "stadium"seating there is not a bad seat in the entire place! If you are not ready to eat inside, they offer a huge patio/deck of outside seating ready for your dining pleasure although I do recommend reservations if you have a large party because the "word is out" that this place is the best of the best! Anyway, back to tonight's experience...our waitstaff ANGIE it turns out (according to the hostess) was recently hired and yet you would never know it! She is exceptionally well versed at all aspects of dining service. From keeping our drinks filled, to dinner service, to ensuring everything from the bar and even dessert was brought out with perfect timing and ensuring our entire meal from start to finish was outstanding! This was my mother's first time eating here and she was blown away by the service and the food! Every other restaurant on the on the island pales in comparison and yet they charge the same prices for dinner that is merely subpar compared to The Green Flash!!!! I only wish I would have found out the reason why they named this establishment what it is? In regards to the food I had the salmon served with fresh spinach and crab meat in a mango sauce and this has to be one of my favorites along with the swordfish that is incredible! The first night I ate here they had grilled vegetables (they have a different vegetable every evening that is served with all entrees). The second night I had sautéed spinach and of the two choices I would say I prefer the grilled vegetables. They were amazing when paired with the fresh fish and rice! They also offer some incredible selections like steaks, seafood, and lobster all served with an extra special flair. This chef truly knows how to please even the most discerning FOODIE like my husband and I! Their drinks are STRONG (which is exactly how I like them) especially on vacation, and the bread served with the dinner menu is wonderful! OH, and the desserts are huge and TO DIE FOR! I recommend the key lime pie, or the carrot cake! The outside seating is fully accessible although I am not completely sure about the inside. A full bar rounds out this amazing dinner experience along with the spectacular views! You can even pull your boat right up to the dock for dinner. Just be prepared for lines if you come after the dinner opening at 5pm. They fill up fast but it seems the turnover of tables is very efficient and yet you do not feel rushed at all! A delightful evening and an amazing dining experience all around! I would give them far more that five stars and cannot wait to go back! This will be the highlight of my future CAPTIVA Island vacations! My boys begged to go back and said the oysters on the half shell are the biggest they have ever seen or eaten! Thank you for this amazing experience. IF you are reading this and want a perfect evening, especially for a special occasion please ask for ANGIE! If the general manager is reading this THANK YOU and please extend my gratitude to your waitstaff Angie, for her outstanding service. Please do whatever you need to do to keep her on staff including giving her a RAISE! She has earned everything and more! I will be asking for her when I return. Thank you so much!

Yelp
This will be our last time going to "The Green Flash". We have loved this place since 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 when we have visited multiple times a year coming to the island. Tonight's experience was the last. They used to have the best crunchy grouper on the island...hands down. Tonight, 4 of us received "frozen" grouper that was cooked poorly and the spaetzle and Au gratin potatoes were very poor. We spent over $300 and left...never again. We went on an early Tuesday night to ensure they wouldn't be too busy...there is no excuse. Sorely disappointed and never again. Too many options on the island to not get the very best.

Yelp
Restaurant at Captiva Island overlooks the bay. It is a great spot for lunch and sunset dinner. The reason they are 3 stars is due to their table service. We have to wait for some time to get food order, request a glass of water, paid the bill. The waiter just not alert enough. I was never got my water glass refill. We started with a bowl of soup. The Captiva Island specialty - shrimp bisque. This soup is local symbol. You need to order one if you come to here. They chop up shrimp in cube is the ingredients that in the bisque instead of lobster. Very good soup. Our entrees were the blackened grouper and grouper tacos. Both dishes has excellent blackened seasoning on top. The fish is fresh here. It is good enough big piece of fish. The restaurant is great place for the view. Especially at sunset, the sunset light shine and cause the green flash. That is the reason they call this restaurant at that name.

Yelp
Oh, boy let me tell you... terrible waitress and her service. I was there on May 4th, with my husband. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 soups. The waitress dropped crackers on the floor in front of us, picked it up off the floor and put it on our table. WTF...? We were shocked... my question is-what's going on behind closed doors in the kitchen if they pick up crackers off the floor in front of you. Anyway... stay classy San Diego... sad experience

Yelp
This place is so fun - sat outside on the dock under a straw hut with lights. Good and drink are great, amazing location.

Yelp
Nice water views, cozy deck, good smoothie drinks - refreshing! Had the peel & eat shrimp with crisp fries. Service was good. Good for a quick meal or relaxing couple of drinks with a view.

Yelp
Stopped at the Green Flash for lunch today with my aunt and her friend that come here often. I had the Captiva salad which was delightful. It was very fresh down to the tomato. The shrimp, scallops (my favorite) and the smoked salmon were a great accompaniment to the salad. All very delish especially the capers. My aunt had the green flash sandwich with turkey and it was very tasty. Her friend had the grilled chicken sandwich and loved it ( she gets it every time). My sister had the barbecue shrimp with bacon and found it also to be very tasty. No complaints on any of the food. Shared a key lime pie that I think is the best I've ever had. We also had the raspberry crepe brûlée that didn't have any raspberry and was just okay. Overall a good lunch for all. There is a great view and we did sit inside but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Yelp
We drove up to Captiva to check things out around 1 o'clock on a Saturday. First waterfront restaurant we passed was The Green Flash. Couldn't get much further so we headed back. We were seated outdoors within 10 minutes. Our waitress, Lauren was awesome. Bringing everything we needed quickly and with a smile. Her communication with us and other diners was outstanding, the place was busy and she really hustled. The crunchy grouper sandwich was delicious as well as the fish (mahi) tacos. We tried the artichoke hearts, they were good too. A definite must stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
The food was excellent, first time trying triple tail. The seafood was fresh and service was good!
