Absolutely fantastic! Unassuming little storefront, with a warm welcome and extraordinarily good food. The fresh hot flat bread was the size of a large pizza and delicious, and the chicken soup that came with our meals was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had - would seriously eat it every day. Ordered the Fahsa Lamb, bubbling molten hot and deep smoky flavor, and the Shak-shookah, spiced to perfection and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more things from the menu. Don’t overlook it because it doesn’t look like much from outside - it’s a real gem.

We ordered the lamb gyro, the combo over rice, and a side order of falafel (for pickup.) The food was all super flavorful and aromatic. Falafel was crispy and tender. The gyro was great- fresh grilled bread, spiced lamb, right amount of sauce and thoughtfully wrapped with TLC. The chicken and the lamb on the combo plate was also delicious, with aromatic fluffy rice. Overall we are delighted to have tried this place, and will absolutely be ordering out or stopping in again. Looking forward to trying the saltah.

New favorite Yemeni spot in Brooklyn - great bread. Definitely worth a visit. Lamb and foul were my favorites - perfect spice.

This food is so good. I live nearby and go to get the Foul (#9) to go at least once a week. Everything is amazing here. So glad it opened up!

This restaurant is amazing. It's not just another hummus and babaganoush place. The homemade pita is amazing. We had an amazing stewed lamb dish. It was far better than expected. The ambiance is nothing special but it is a nice place. We will definitely be going back.

This is one of the best authentic Yemeni/Middle eastern restaurants i tried in the area. I tried the falafel and the lamb gyro, both were amazing. The humus and the bread is outstanding, the portions are generous... We will definitely come back to try more items on the menu. * This place is a hidden gem *

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but bad business left a bad taste in my mouth not to mention the food itself didn't exactly stand out . I'll first start by saying the layout of this restaurant is very Yemen like . It's what I would expect a restaurant to look like there at-least . It isn't modern and just very basic and homey which isn't bad . There are several seats and it's a decent size restaurant in a good area . Onto the food, I got a chicken over rice platter a falafel sandwich and I wanted some hummus to go with my meal so I ordered a side of hummus and a small container of baklava . Unbeknownst to me , they charged me for a hummus meal although I never got a salad nor bread nor was told id be charged 12 dollars which is the cost of the hummus meal on their menu . In any case the hummus was really good . Very creamy not too thick and very tasty . The chicken over rice was 4/5 and maybe slightly above average with the addition of their white sauce and was more or less comparable to other chicken over rice meals I've had throughout the city . The baklava though was way too sweet and isn't even made in house so i ended up throwing that out and i gave the falafel sandwich to a family member who didn't say anything about it after i gave them which most like means its average .

Yelp
This has become our go-to dinner spot! All the food is amazing and the service is great! They always offer good suggestions and we've been making our way through the menu. The fahsa lamb and fahsa salmon are both delicious and perfectly seasoned, the foul and hummus are always great, the bread is enormous and freshly made, and the lamb haneez is tender, well spiced, and served with fragrant rice. Amazing! And no matter what you get, be sure to start your meal with a cup of maraq soup - it's so soothing and cozy. The desserts are also delicious but be prepared to bring them home and share! The sabaya could easily feed a party of 20 and the fatah with honey could easily feed your family after dinner.

Yelp
A welcome addition to the neighborhood. This no frills, simple Yemeni/nyc deli style joint is very simple. That being said it is clean and the food is good. It basically is halal cart put in a restaurant. But they also have an extensive Yemeni Menu. I tried the lamb soup, which was 2 bucks of perfection. The combo plate was tender and delicious. We also had the chopped cheese which was nice. This is a solid, reliable, tasty middle eastern place that offers higher quality and better care than a street cart. Please give it a shot.

Yelp
We are so lucky to live a few blocks from this place. So far we've ordered mushakel, fahsa and massloug lamb. Delicious food and lots of it - 2 dishes fed 2 of us 2 nights in a row. The bread and rice are exceptional. The woman working there was very nice. We've only done takeout so far. Dine-in looks pretty bright and bare, but friendly. I wish we'd discovered it sooner, but we will make up for lost time.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with hubby and the kids. The food is authentic and delicious. Service was good.

Yelp
This is possibly the best food I have ever had in New York City. Bread is amazing and all the dishes I have tried have been better than the last. Worth every cent.

Yelp
My first Yemeni food ever. I ordered basic falafel. So incredible. Much better than the chain store called MAOZ. The proprietor was so kind, was quick to unlock the restroom for me, and most importantly, she TRUSTED me. I was the only person in there, a complete stranger, and the owner went into the back for what seemed like forever. 45 minutes, maybe. I was pleasantly shocked because this is NYC and I could have easily walked out without paying. Very easily. But she finally came out and asked me if I'm okay. Who does that in NYC? She was so sincere that it made my dining experience really memorable. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Fresh delicious amazing Yemen food as well as bodega classics. We ordered Salta w/ Haneeth, Foul, and chicken over rice. Giant puffy fresh bread came with our order. Everything was delectable but my favorite was the Salta, savory meat mingled with okra and lemon, I can't wait to explore the rest of their menu. Our server was warm and attentive, very patient with our wild toddler. This is a fantastic new addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Good veggie options. Bread and rice were amazing. Food was very good. I wish they had more sides like dolmas (I really like dolmas).

Yelp
I found this restaurant just by walking by and stopping in randomly. Turned out to be a really great spot! The food is fantastic and the prices are great for how much food you get.

Yelp
Amazing new neighborhood spot! Combo over rice was flavorful and generously portioned on top of deliciously fluffy rice. Finally a good halal spot in Park Slope, will be back for sure!

Emilie D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is so good and the family who runs the restaurant is so kind. They gave us excellent recommendations on what to order and the son was an excellent server. We had the foul, salta with lamb haneeth, lamb soup, and plenty of rice and their incredible bread. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I could drink that lamb soup every day! Please go support this business, your stomach won't regret it.

Yelp
The food was amazing great introduction to Yemeni cuisines. Tried the fahssa with bread was the best thing we had there. Ordered with a couple of friends and ended up devouring it.

Yelp
Amazing food and terrific service. The bread was so fresh and huge, my kid loved the generous size. We had the chicken over rice, lehm segar, and the hummus with chicken. Everything was on point. Can't wait to come back.
