I’m not sure why there are quite a few negative reviews on here. We stayed at The Greens over the weekend for Aftershock. This place was clean, conveniently located, and in a gated little compound. It is obviously not the most luxurious hotel but was a great value for the money. If you just need a comfortable place to sleep, this is a great option. There is also a coffee shop and a cute diner right next door and a brewery across the street.

Horrible place, Expedia offers something and what you get is a junk. I went on the 16-17 i book a deluxe room and what I got was a fridge adapter bed and corner table. Nothing close like the one Expedia shows. Had an awful smell. Not only that, I went to grab food when I came bag gate was close it had a phone number to call so the gate would open. I was out there in a horrible neighborhood with homeless everywhere and I kept calling from12:40 to 1:35 no one open the gate until one of the guest got tired of me honking all night. When the guy finally open the gate he onlyy said that he never got any calls. I've showed him my calls also Expedia agents called and he never answer. I try to get my refund and Expedia only offer me 25 back because the manager of the place said since I still sleept ttheree he wasn't gonna give me a refund for the inconvenience of leaving me outside. So definitely not a nice place rooms arre crappy the neighborhood it's really bad. I would rather get a motel 6.

I'd strongly recommend avoiding this place! I think it’s run by scammers, like those infamous tax scams! ***what you see in the photos is nothing like the real place*** MODERN HOTEL? IT'S A LIE! Don’t get tricked by the ratings; there’s no way this place deserves close to 4 stars. The building feels unsafe, with heavy metal doors from top to bottom and multiple locks, and you even have to call a number to get in. The room was filthy, with no towels, cheap and old furniture and a dead cockroach. Terrible bathroom too. I booked for two nights but left immediately as soon as I entered the room, losing my money because I couldn't do it. The worst experience!!!

Not sure what all the bad press is about with some of these reviews. It’s an inexpensive spot to crash in Sacramento. It’s a bit loud from time to time and the area isn’t much to see but my room was clean, service was fine and price was very good.

It's a nice place in the middle of a horrible area. The grounds are surrounded by high walls and electric gates. Rooms are good value for the price. Get dinner before you get there area very sparce on food options.

!!! DONT GET TRICKED!! If I could give this sad excuse for a hotel zero stars that is exactly what I would give it. Starting from the false advertising of their rooms to the trash, unprofessional, intrusive management they have at this place. The pictures they show are NOT the rooms they have nor the rooms your going too get. Idk where they got the pictures from but the rooms are dirty and unsanitary the door to the rooms have no locks on them. They also ask you to inform them when your leaving and when your arriving and how long you’ll be gone NO sense of privacy what’s so ever. The Indian man at the front deak David he said his name was is the most unprofessional person I had ever encountered in a hospitality business this man is so creepy and the rudest. He charged me for a room I didn’t not stay in as soon as I arrived I asked him too cancel everything as I didn’t feel safe nor did I get the room advertised too me. The man then became very forceful ,unprofessional and aggressive towards me, after asking him too cancel he said he couldn’t and wouldn’t cancel a reservación made that same day. I’ve had to deal with my credit card company, the better business buró and a lawyer because it’s not about the money it’s about principal and the fact that they are tricking people into paying for this roach motel in the middle of the most dangerous crime ridden part of Sacramento.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Motel 6 is right down the way and trust and believe you get what you paid for. Please save yourself a head ache and issues dealing with uneducated unprofessional people like the workers at this establishment.

I was really surprised that they remodeled and were open to the public. The room was very nice, cleanliness detailed, brand new full sized refrigerator w/freezer.

I got tricked by their photos they had advertising the hotel for a 500 weekly rate. The Craigslist ad described it as a "Luxury Hotel Room" and the photos show very nicely decorated, clean rooms that are furnished with beautiful FURNITURE and decorative pillows, nice bedding and a chandelier. That couldn't be further from the truth!!!!. There was not ANY of the furniture seen in the photos. Just a very uncomfortable bed that isn't fancy. Nothing like the pretty pillows and nice bedding in photos. Just very plain, thin comforter. There was literally ONLY THE BED IN THE ROOM AS FAR AS FURNITURE. NONE OF THE NICE COMFY CHAIRS WITH PILLOWS ON THEM LIKE IN THE PHOTOS. THE LIGHTING WAS NOT A CHANDELIER. There was a mini fridge with a microwave (both not in good shape and not very clean). The microwave couldn't even reach the outlet to plug it in to use it BECAUSE IT WAS ON TOP OF THE FRIDGE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ANY FURNITURE IN THE ROOM. The doors are very strange. They are thin and not insulated and the door to my room couldn't even be safety latched because it was broken. The AC barely worked and there was NO filter at all in it. And the wall mounted TV was small, old, not high def and the sound on it was not good. The bathroom wasn't really great either. It was small and the toilet was very small and very close to the wall. The fan came on but didn't seem to ventilate well. I really felt mislead by the ad and wish that I had done my research before planning on staying there. I was so tired when I got there I wouldn't have been able to drive to a different hotel. I didn't notice how much the room was nothing like they made it out to be until I had already paid them for the week and was in the room and went back to the Craigslist ad to see why in the hell I had wanted to stay at that hotel. Don't fall for the Craigslist special of 500 a week. IT DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. THE PHOTOS ARE NICE BUT THE PLACE IS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. ITS NOT CLEANED WELL (THEY DONT CLEAN INSIDE THE FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE OR UNDER THE BED, THE SHUTTERS HAD GRIME ON THEM) I switched rooms twice and there were different issues with each room. There was something broken or missing in each room. IT IS RIDICULOUS TO THINK THAT YOU ARE GETTING A "LUXURY ROOM" with actual end tables and chairs and decor and ending up with AN EMPTY ROOM WITH NO DECOR AT ALL, NO BASIC FURNITURE, NO WHERE TO EVEN SIT DOWN TO RELAX EXCEPT THE BED. THERE WAS NOT ANYWHERE AT ALL TO EVEN HANG UP CLOTHES OR A CLOSET OR DRESSER. THERE WAS NOT EVEN A TOWEL RACK IN THE BATHROOM. THERE WAS LITERALLY NO WHERE AT ALL TO PUT A JACKET IF YOU WANTED TO HANG IT UP. I GUESS YOU HAVE TO SET IT ON THE BED BUT IF YOU WANT TO SIT OR LAY DOWN I GUESS YOU HAVE TO JUST PUT ALL YOUR STUFF ON THE FLOOR, WHICH IS NOT VERY CLEAN. I KNOW I PROBABLY SOUND LIKE A KAREN BUT I REALLY FEEL RIPPED OFF. THEY ARE STILL ADVERTISING ON CRAIGSLIST WITH THE SAME BS PHOTOS. DON'T FALL FOR IT.
